Good info here, It may help guys understand that the root cause and effect here is the amount of heat you’re building inside the combustion chamber, so getting that heat to build quickly and transferring it as efficiently as possible to the drive side of the turbo. The expansion rate of the exhaust gases are the driving mechanism for building boost.

98mm turbocharger is way too big for a 400 cubic inch engine he needs to be using a 78mm at the smallest to a 86mm at the largest size instead because the engine displacement doesn't provide enough exhaust flow to properly spool up the turbo the proper engine displacement for a 98mm turbocharger is 460 cubic inch or larger displacement engine for a small block or go with a big block of 7 liters or larger displacement.

I absolutely respect the way this video was executed! People try to copy what the next person did in a build that is completely different from their own, even if some of the specs are similar, and he can't understand why it doesn't work the way they thought. Well this guy did this that and this and so either you should or I should do the same. When in fact engine building is a combination of all the individual components together, and then the same applies to the vehicle it's being installed in, in that the combination of everything as a whole, and then the desired result and personal preference to top it off. A carbon copy of what the next person did may not work for you. And so yes Devin never told anybody to do this or that! LOL! How true

Very good. Very informative. I tune a Buick GN with a tiny V-6 and a big turbo. This will help me refine my techniques even further. Thank you so much.

Devin, thanks for the knowledge share. It's guys like you who keep many of us with less experience from grenading motors.

Cubic inch & compression......exactly! Thank you for addressing especially the compression part which many seem not to understand, including so-called professionals.

It took me about a year to dial in my 1050 with a roots of off afr and exhaust temps along with sparkplug fouling street driving. This shit is real deep with your gem if a motor beneath it, ya take your time and hope your precision salesman isn't a ×ick
