Chris is my dad, I was at the end saying “Creepy stuff is cool” but i am very proud of what he has been doing in these past years and I have been looking up to him. In a few clips you can see me in the background helping paint the other part of the prop in this video, I just wanted to point that out
I met you guys at the motor city haunt club. Great guys and great work. I'm gonna try my hand and using this technique this year. Thanks for the video.
Hell yeah! Was so awesome going through the process with him. He puts a lot into his creations and it shows. No joke, we corpsed this thing for 4 hours! 😂🤘🏻💀
@@HesCrafty Quick question for you, Sir. I'm wanting to use your technique to build a corpse wreath. Do you think I should have some kind of wood base (ring) to build it up from? Thanks! Edit: I found a wire wreath ring at Michaels... Problem solved!

Came out awesome! I really like the slimy green look. One thing I learned about using that spray paint "for plastic" is that it does stick to plastic well, but it doesn't STAY stuck. Once the sun starts to cause some expansion and contraction it will flake badly. My arch was a nightmare to maintain for a while. I've taken to using Gorilla patch and seal over my plastic corpsings. Spar varnish like you used works great too, but I like the flex that the Gorilla gives me. Great to see the kids helping out. Mine still like all the creepiness, but have kinda grown out of helping. lol
I’ve got a couple of projects coming and I’m going to try those techniques. Thanks for checking out the video. Definitely have to have the kids help while they still have interest. Thanks again🙏🏼🙏🏼🤘🏻🤘🏻💀💀
@grantrizzi3124 I used it over and under, hoping that it would create a flexible skin that would protect things. Works ok, but I'm not thrilled with it. I'm starting to use a mix of carpet adhesive, latex and house paint as a base coat on my current projects. Seems to be working well so far.
@@OakLaneCemetery Interesting. Looking to make noodle roots, but also trying to combine a few thoughts that would see it on a moving prop. I’m guessing I want to treat joints as separate pieces and minimize any running?
@grantrizzi3124 Yep. Can't corpse any joints you plan on moving. You can use a similar colored cloth in the joint area though so you won't have an abrupt seam showing
Jack, thank you so much. That’s awesome of you to say and I really appreciate it. I scavenge the skeletons from wherever I can get them. I’m not picky and work with whatever I can get. Thanks again for watching-Chris 🤘🏻🤘🏻🙏🏼💀
Brotha I wish I seen this video last year. We did swamp theme last year and this would have been perfect. Still gonna build one. But damn. Love your channel.
It’s just a wrap, tuck and tie. Then when you hit it with the heat gun it will seal it all together. Thanks for checking out the video. Much appreciated 🙏🏼🤘🏻💀💀💀

One question. When you are covering with the clear plastic do you use anything to make it stick or just wrap and tuck and tie it? Thanks

Ive seen people do yhos with cotton and latex, but does it HAVE to be cotton. Most places ive found sell polyester.
Do they use cotton for the corpsing?
I was wondering what size the eyeballs are. I noticed on Amazon that there different sized eyeballs.
