I'm transitioning from my more random doodleness to more of a thoughtfully structured approach. For example, being more mindful of fundamentals and also studying and learning more about artist I admire and their projects. I will also continue to nurture and craft my artistic mindset. I'm currently reading Rick Rubin's book on creative mindset.
Nice! Studying the fundamentals is a solid goal. And I have that book on my to-be-read list...thanks for the reminder to go ahead and start reading it!
My only real goals are to journal daily and sketch daily, even if it's just one sentence and boxes using crayons. This far, 12 days in, it's going well😂 I would also like to get up the bravery to draw across the center line of the spread and/or off the edge like you did. I know it sounds silly but that is so hard for me.
Love that! Just showing up and making marks on the page is sometimes all you need to get the habit started. And getting over the fear of drawing across the center line is so real! It took me a really long time to build up the bravery but sometimes you really need that extra real estate 😂
What habits are you starting, stopping, or continuing in 2025? Let me know!
Real nice 😊

@@adannaelleartRick Rubin’s book is also an audiobook. It’s good to play it in the background while being creative.
I'm an insect illustrator from Brazil, and it felt great to watch your video. Thank you!
