- Video showing a compliation of the first few fights in FFXIII with the battle theme Blinded By Light (Get it? Lightning?) playing in the background.
I'd also like to apologise for the somewhat grainy quality of some parts of the video, needed to tweak some settings in Nvidia control panel and didn't realise until I was long done in the first area. Don't worry though, it's sorted and will be running much better for the rest of the STs. Thanks guys, enjoy!

This makes me miss transitions into battles. Like i know combat has to evolve but something about the battle stance they would make in this game before entering into battle. Having the glow to black before revealing the battle.
And having the music flow smoothly makes any battle memorable
I recently played FF13 for the first time in years, and it was a blast. Never completed the game before.
There's something about the combat system - people say that it feels repetitive and stuff, but I enjoyed FF13's combat more than FFXVI, and dare I say even FFXV(which is one of the most beautiful, most cinematic combat systems out there). It just felt sooo... satisfying.
I love FF13 gameplay a lot,no matter anyone say.The combat was like a sport coach standing by the field yelling to my players to change the tactic,and if you get 5 stars its felt so good.😊

Hey @omegasage777 yo lighting's design is sexy bruh, for real let's be honest the character's appealing to looking at for hours. Especially when you are doing some of those treasure hunting quests.

Whilst I don't like this game, I do think the music is very beautifully done. Who in their right mind thought it was ok to replace controllable party members with automated characters? You take away the satisfaction from players because of the lack of inputs needed in order to feel like they did something to beat an enemy or boss
Been playing this one for the first time now, dont get why its so hated by westerners, it's one of the most popular FF games in Japan, there's a reason why it has 2 sequels, it's been really fun so far.
Because it wasn’t narratively obvious that the first half of the game being closed to simple exploration was due to the fact you were literally fleeing the entire time.
Also snow was cringe as fuck
It came out during the time open world was starting to become the standard. People criticized for being to linear.

I played it for the first time last year and loved every minute of it (outside of a couple really tough bosses)
@@edgardohenriquez4079but that's the weird part though, I played FF 13, then went back and played FF X and thought to myself "hold on a minute FFX is literally just as railroaded and yet it's a beloved entry in the FF franchise. I don't think it was just the "hallways" structure of FF 13, but to me personally the cast didn't feel as diverse or stuck out as much as the characters in FFX, plus the plot was a tad bit harder to follow with L'cie, Fal'cie, etc.
I like how a lotta people thought this game sucked at first (myself included), but it's gaining a lil' more popularity these days =3
Once you understand why the battle system was made like it was, and how hard it can get to manage things the game becomes a lot cooler (least in my eyes, I love it now). It still isn't as good as some of the older ones, but it's not as bad as everyone thought originally either (my favorite is still Final Fantasy VI)
Nah, as far as I can remember - and it's indeed a long time ago - everyone wanted a great story out of this game, like the previous ffs, which ff13 didn't deliver. I mean, the story WAS there but in comparison to the previous ffs, it was "meh" at best. Which is pretty sad, given the setting and it's potential.
The GAME itself was pretty good. Actually liked everything about it except the story.
AwesomeWinter I haven't played 13, but I don't think any Final Fantasy could have a story as convoluted and messy as 8. No offense to you if you like 8 though, and I respect your opinion.
7 years later reply 😂 but, the game wasn't that bad, but it didn't rise to the expectations of a final fantasy game at all.
i love this final fantasy because it was my first rpg game, i was 6 years old when i played first time. now im 19, and every ytime i listen nthe soundtrack.. i fell i gonna cry. i played the 8, 10 and 4 after the 13, and recently i played 15, and i have mire than 200 hours. probally i will buy the 16, maybe in 5 years not spendding money

Nah i don't think it needs one. I play on PC and the game looks really nice as is, it aged very well in the graphical department

Hate the game's battle mechanic but love the battle theme.
I've seen all the hate for this game before playing it but the second I heard this violin, I knew they were all wrong

After playing X-2 as a kid (Paine my babes) I developed a new found respect and love for square enix. This game, this franchise… I literally cannot express the experience I lived throughout it all. The music, the stories, the brick walls me and my bro faced against the puzzles. The FIGHTING! 🤩🤩🤩. Now I’m on XIV. Square Enix man, big steppers 🤌🏾🌪

Not going to lie or mince words but FF13 was one of the worst in the series. I won't deny however this is one of the best battle themes and even the corridor fest and baby pacing of the battle system didn't detract from that.
Ff13 now looks like a masterpiece compared to the dry and drab MMORPG copy XVI.

like 13, and I'm a defender of it to a degree, but 16 was better. Also to be fair 13 never got patches & updates like 15 and 16 but 15 is the worst of the 3 personally

One of the worst battle themes for one of the worst final fantasy games. The biggest insult to players was not having the battle flourish at the end though.
