i hope someone who actually does the video talks about how zergs used to work back in edge of the mists. since the warclaw release most commanders tend to have this back handed version of stacking to empower and might and stab. back in the edge of the mists it was constant rotation of skills to keep the group super buffed and can wreck anything at a moments notice as a fight can happen at a moments notice
i use tag alot for instanced content and maybe bounties or random event but how do i organize big meta events or even meta train?!
I'd be interested in some WvW knowledge!
- What makes a good, tactical WvW commander?
- What makes a good, strategic WvW commander?
- What are the primary WvW objectives (not just kill, take or defend, but what are you trying to achieve by the end of the week, how best to do that)?
- What makes a good squad composition?
- In general terms, what are the primary roles for each class so you know what to assign where?
On the topic of questions:
1. If I only have X hours to play per week (4-5 etc), please reccomend a way to earn gold that emphasises fun gameplay rather than map completion etc. Reccomend gold acquisition for a busy player.
2. A short list of major quality of life items.
3. An introduction to mapping hotkeys. For example, your 6-10 skills have been changed. Walk us through your decision process and how we should consider making some.
Super glad you are picking this series up again, it helped me a lot with my journey through the game. put a huge smile on my face hearing about your expirence with the community.
Great to hear this, Teapot. You might even bring me back to the game. I was still playing when season 3 was "starting", but then, again, someone close to me died and I quit. Much has happened since then, just like it did for you, and things are getting better now. So nice timing, it's a funny coincidence this video dropped when it did.

If you had to prioritize content for off-peak hours and limited playtime (5-6 hours x week) what content would you recommend to fill that playtime? Assume play sessions are about an hour and a half each (so 4ish seperate days).
I will definitely be tuning in to see how your opinions on some of the inevitable questions differ from my own. The Q&A sections are definitely a good way to interact with the audience here on youtube! I love to see it, and im hoping your audience shows you a lot of love. 🤙
I think I need more context to accurately answer this because I think it very much depends on what the player is looking to get out of the game.

Here’s what I would love:
I would LOVE a “status update” where you go a bit more in depth of where the character is at - what items do you have, amount of gold on the account, account value, etc.
and also review “this is how I did this”, just at a high level. Example: if you have a legendary amulet, explain how you got it (I did the Return To achievement)
Yeaaahhhhhh!!! I've gotten back into GW2 after a year break, so it's fun to see this series coming back as well!

Love to hear this series coming back! My question would be how would you go about starting getting into WvW? My scenario is I am working towards my first set of all ascended armor through wizards vault and ascended weapons so gear isn’t a huge issue long term. But I am wondering about tactics, basic strats, maybe some build theory, etc.
How to prioritise goals and efficiently work towards Legendary Armour in WvW or PvP would be helpful tbh

hey great to hear you doing good/better! big fan of this series helped me craft alot of my legendaries! i’m gonna hit you up for a guild slot after dinner. And for questions I do run raids, frac, strikes and some WvW but I am interested how would you approach commanding your own zerg (I saw one stream where you discussed it with sneb or nike i think but still. And how do I get good in PvP ranked solo queuing! would you recommend a supporter for solo or just be the best dps and know which opponents to pick. much Love!
Happy to see Zero to Hero back on the menu! I would personally really like to see those daily T4s maybe CMs if you feel like doing those.
Glad to see the series back, but private life always comes first and coincidentally just today I learned a lesson that showed me that in personal life its mandatory to not make any compromises when it comes to your happiness and health (without being reckless, of course, you get me). I believe you're self aware enough that I don't need to tell you this, just wanted to say that you've got all the support from us and don't need to feel bad about it.

I see it's a bit of a common theme but I would love to learn how to be a comm. For OW metas and for WvW so if you could shed some light on effective tips that would be amazing
@MightyTeapot How important is it to buy the Jade Bot upgrades for alts? Should I always buy level 10 core for alts, and always get the magic/might sensory array and a service chip? It's about ~50-60g to fully kit out an alt with Jade Bot upgrades, which seems high IMO
i would love to learn how to go about practicing CM fractals. I've done them before on normal mode before, but I would love to learn how you would go about learning the strategies for beating the CM's, and more specifically how you would go about pracitcing them too.

what to do with all the unused ascended rings and what would be some good ideas to do during early hours when pvp and wvw is dead and all the bigger meta events like eparch fail, is there perhaps something in the game that it would be advantage to not have a lot of people on.

I'd love a showcase of how to max out the profit from the Hidden Garden in Mount Maelstrom. You can somehow add more farming nodes to it but I never checked how
You have to complete a couple of achievements, one of them being a 3 part achievement for the legendary Kudzu that costs around 250g to complete. If you want Kudzu or Aurora (it needs 250 fire orchids which is one of the nodes you unlock) I'd say it's worth it. If not then you need to farm it every day for more than 6 months to make it worth while.
I love playing PvP, but I can't get into platinum rank. So a question for me would be:
- How do I get into platinum rank in PvP, is there a magical formula for it, is it luck, do you need to play with other people, can you do it solo?

What are the criteria for a good WvW roaming build and how do they differ from those for a good zerging WvW build?
Zerg build will stack 1 thing based on it's primary role DPS, heal, boons, etc and get the other things from the squad. Roaming builds must provide everything they need themselves in 5 areas - DPS, sustain, cleanse/stunbreak, boons, mobility (to catch or disengage when outnumbered).

Im in love with PvE but i want to learn about WvW. What is going on in WvW, how to get level up, how to build gear for WvW , what does it mean zerg?

I've really been missing this format. For me my question would be how to really get into completive modes as a beginner without getting super farmed in these. I have like 8k hours in the game and I barely set foot in these.
Also another idea would be maybe taking a normal player and guiding them through some of their problems / issues. A live walkthrough maybe?
I've asked Mukluk about this in the vein of his 'I tried X' series, but I think he's burned himself out a bit on a lot of those, so here's the idea:
How does playing a Full Celestial build differ from, say, playing a more conventional 'Power DPS' open world build?
Obviously, you can clear all the content in the game with a Celestial build -- even Raids and other 'end game' content; it shows that a high level of game knowledge with a 'serviceable' build is far more impactful than an 'optimal' build.
Obviously, stat-wise Cele is incredibly efficient. Obviously, it's a 'DPS loss' over a standard Power DPS build. But how much? How tangible is that loss? How tangible are the other gains from Cele, eg, survivability, a dash of boon duration, etc. How much does it matter when you're playing solo vs. playing in small-scale open world (eg, doing a random event with 5 people) vs. blasting a meta in a full map?
I've always been curious about the nuances of Celestial builds, and I think people like you and Muk, with a huge amount of sheer time in the the game would have good insight into better explaining that, both for my own understanding from a 'completeness' perspective, but also for new players who may have just boosted a character to 80, got handed an equipment template of Celestial gear, and are told, "Celestial isn't optimal, you want full Berserkers and this Power DPS build.", or get told that 'Cele builds are lazy'.
In several cases celestial isn't a DPS loss over straight Power in the open world because of the amount of self boon uptime celestial gives.
@@carnifex2005 right, that's kind of what I'm getting at -- I'm not aware of anyone doing a good analysis of the quantitative and qualitative differences.
@@CygnusRising it is so idiosyncratic to class and build, that the scope is massive... I have two favoured builds on Untamed for open world. One is power oriented with Commander's and Diviners, and the other is condi oriented with Celestial. Both output very similar dps, and both are very survivable, but the power dps is actually more survivable despite having less health and armour, because it's self healing on stun is through the roof. In this case the power build is optimal in open world (but both are plenty fun and survivable)... That's just one spec and two potential builds, neither of which is suitable for instanced content.
It's an excellent idea, but I'm not sure who would have the time.
Unfortunately the real answer is - it depends. Which makes is why you haven't seen it answered by anyone quantitively - it all depends on which elite spec, build, power or condi dmg, weapon choices, number of other people, content you are doing, personal ability, etc simply too many permutations and so you'll only ever really see generalisations.
Playing solo and the boon uptime, etc then cele is great, in groups where there's so much boon spam anyway it's limited in value.
Personal ability - I'm rubbish at reading mechanics so with a glass cannon viper/berserkers setup I do zero DPS as I'm dead so Cele will always be better for me - others I see (and admire) dodge and avoid dmg and can survive without.
I will say I tested DPS on the golem and in game with cele vs non - whilst on the golem the non-cele versions DPS was higher (5-10%) with my build that was reversed in the Open world in real fights as I was tanking more in cele vs running to avoid dmg in non-cele so I think it would vary too in how difficult a fight you were engaging in too.

Idea: I have a whole bunch of hoarded buffs over the course of the last decade. I am certain I am not alone. How can I optimally use them all. Willing to play all content, but also consider a case scenario where 1 game mode is not possible - such as if burnt out one of the game modes such as wvw. (262 birthday boosters, 160 enchanted combat boosters, 134 strength boosters, 37 heroic boosters, 162 enchanted reward boosts, 93 item boosters, 78 black lion boosters, 22 winter's blessings, bonfires, banners, metabolic primers and utility primers)

The idea was that Teapot runs a EU guild and Darrens runs the NA one iirc.

Was a bit bummed out when there wasn't much communication in regards to the guilds plans and as an active wvw player i eventually had to move on to an actively playing server and community.
I appreciate the honest video and would love to rejoin the guild if that's an option.
