it's open to interpretation, but the original translations suggest more of a "i wish you were mine" crush idea over anybody dying imo. these lyrics def suggest some sort of ending though, you might be on to something ♡

This song in particular really resonates with me. My sister passed away on the 31st of July and i found this song literally a week after. I can't help but think of her and the good times i've had with her whenever i hear it. I love everything about not just this song but this amazing cover that you performed. @@herofromthedark I know this comment’s late itself, but if you haven't figured your own meaning, I personally think this song’s about yearning for someone who doesn't know you love them during the night. You hope this will be the last night you only say good night to them in your mind before you get to tell them in person with them right beside you in bed. That's what I think. Hope that helps if you need it!
