Helpful, polite, gracious young man.
No cursing?
Imagine that!!!!!
Boom!!! Thumbs up 👍 for you.
Well done.
All the best to you , God bless you
He definitely dropped a few f bombs 🤣
Ah, a relevant youtube recommendation and an awesome video. Unfortunately the grid heater for me is precious in north dakota.
Grid heater re locate kit offers better flow but a performs the samr
I didn't really get what you gain. A little more air? Using less electricity that Greta made as its running?
@@markbroad119 yes you get a larger opening in your intake putting less turbo drive pressure and feeding the turbo plenty of air. You know how diesels love more air. This mod will also allow your turbo to spool faster.
@@B.C.EpicExplorer where can I get one of those
@@jagg5474 gdp $399.00 Goes on cold side charge pipe.
I put in a BD exhaust manifold in my 6.7. It’s a two piece with a 47% increase in exiting exhaust. I noticed an immediate response in my acceleration rpm’s. The exhaust temps seem lower too. I called them directly before I ordered it and what a breath of fresh air they are. They run diesels and know them!
Yea bd makes excellent products! I loved there steering brace I had on my 3rd gen
Crankcase ventilation is a positive thing. But please don't just vent it back to Aymosephier. Get a cheap catch can system with one inch ports on it. Run 1" ID heater hose from the valve cover out port to the catchcan with a 1" out port. If you can get or build a catch an with a baffle great. The can should be a spin-on so you can clean and drain it at normal services. Or as required. But a 1" out pipe is what is recommended. You don't want any back pressure.
And ya that Turbo is a finely machined part that spins at incredible speed. And someone pukes soot and goo all over it. That will through it all out of balance. There goes any longevity. You will be changing turbos at 1/2 life.😱
i never knew what the voltage dropping in the cold weather was coming from, made me think my alternator was going bad, thanks for the info👍🏼
I always thought it was the def heaters. Good to know.
The grid heater delete is necessary. I just had my inside connection short out and melt. My mechanic said he touched the end of the bold and it fell off in his hand. The nut loosens off over time from all the hot and cold cycles and eventually falls of into the engine if it’s not caught in time. I live in Canada so I replaced the stock equipment with BD diesels intake horn, delete and intake heater probe.
I am diesel FNG and I really appreciate how you explain stuff. It makes sense to those of us that haven't been indoctrinated. Appreciated! Keep it up! =)
I have the same motor in my ram 3500 in my work truck. I haul around excavators and pallets of concrete a lot so at 225k miles she’s showing her age AND the exhaust filter is clogged so whatever that is it sucks cause I can’t even go up the Houston ship channel bridge without the petal being almost to the floor.
I met a guy who’s a delivery driver and has the same motor I do and said the same things your saying and he said he gets better mileage and it runs better after, so yeah man I’m glad you explained it cause he didn’t explain it very well.
Oh and the exhaust filter to be replaced down here in Houston is about $2500 after calling four different shops. They said the dealer is selling that filter for $2,025, $3600 to replace it was the highest I’ve been quoted so yeah ha ha ha. I’m so glad this is a company truck
I just bought an '18 3500 Ram. This info is much appreciated
I'm about to buy a 2008 Ram 5500 with a 6.7. but I've worked around them for a few years now and I wish I had found this vid like 5 years ago. All three of these that you suggest to delete I have actually replaced. These mods would have saved me several hundreds of dollars. Thanks and keep up the good work!!
Thanks man I appreciate it and atleast u found the videos now man welcome!!
you do need that plastic part around the paper it seals the case to the vent pipe.
Top $100 mods are
-ccv delete
-air intake
- boost gauge
Just picked up my all stock 08 6.7 G56. I’m in NC as well! Great video subscribed! Can’t wait to get my deletes done
Grid heaters actually reduce startup wear and really help the longevity of the injectors
I feel the pros outweigh the cons. With a grid heater delete. If you live somewhere cold you can run a remote gridheater. Or get a block heater.
@@williamspohn3652 A block heater is great, but if you forget to plug it in you're fucked. That's why the grid heater and a block heater are standard equipment on diesel trucks up here in the PNW.
They also fall apart and drop a bolt end into your intake on the the 6.7. Banks makes a great kit to eliminate the stock one and still keep a heater there.
Turns out the grid heater bolt melts and will maybe fall in to piston 6 and brick your motor. $8000 minimum. @@williamspohn3652

Only way to go
Not sure watch Gail's video on the flow banch
Maan I have a 2018 Ram Dually, I also had a 17. I was runnin them doing hot shot. My 17 gave out in New Mexico because of the def system. That little mod you did and the explaining in simple understandable english completely explains how it all works. For 2 years now I keep hearing about deletes and I understood what it did but now I completely get it. Thanks keep it up!!
Your welcome man glad I could help!
I love how you show the grid heater sitting on top of his new home the trashcan
I live in Michigan, I have to keep that intake grid heater, and some nights I plug in the block heater in the winter
Favorite truck channel.just bought my first diesel which is a 6.7 cummins
Appreciate that man! Glad the content is helping
The blow black reroute mod I'm definitely doing that one. Thanks for the video
6.leaker psd owner here, but I'm loving these vids!
Great seeing u at 18K subscribers!! I just started watching you and saw you thank everyone when u hit 2K and I thought right away that u would be at 20K soon. In Longs SC with my first Cummins (2019 Ram 2500). And omg Rudy’s Diesel !!! Been using their stuff for 15 years for all my F350’s. I was in Northern NY until 7 yrs ago. Never had 1 problem with any of them including 6.0 and 6.4’s!! Thanks again. 👍✌️
I thought that unfiltered intake turbo air was a death sentence. Grains of dust at high speed 'sand blast' the bearing and impeller. I'm going to be a new CTD owner so just trying to get the straight goods. Awesome video - thanks for sharing.
Great video man! Just got an 08 megacab short bed Dually with the 6.7 and I love these kind of videos.
Great video. I'm picking up a 2014 2500 cummins this Tuesday 12/20. 23k miles on it pretty excited for my 1st cummins. Always had powerstokes till now.
Enjoy man!!
I was going to buy a common rail . There so nice especially mega cabs. Considering im my own warranty , parts replacement is so much more on them. Then the emissions stuff. Like injectors cost 10x the price and my model came stock with no emissions equipment not even a cat. I settled on a 01 quad cab from south carolina with a blown motor and had the motor rebuilt. Considering im from Connecticut people are shocked when they see a 2nd gen without rust. I added injectors , exhaust , programer, turbo and working on a set of compounds now. I truly love my truck.
If your in a cold location do not get rid of your grid heater. It’s needed for really cold start ups
just bought 4th gen mega laramie and love it. had 2 2006 megas, one 3/4 and one 1 ton dually. traded them both on the 2017. All deleted, 20in fuels. was alittle concerned about moving to a 6.7 from a 5.9 but its all good. you were talking about transmissions, for the money i put a Jasper in my 5.9's with there triple disk billet converter and it was amazing. no HP regulations and 3 year 100,000 mile warranty with labor cost and its nationwide. they just came out with the 68RFE and it is a bad ass. tons of upgrades, check em out
That's legit man. I'll check em out
Be careful in what you do. I have a 2016 1 ton Laramie dually and installed a 125 gal aux fuel tank tie into the belly tank with a a electric solenoid and dealer would not cover the rail pressure switch when I started to loose power. Dodge is very picky when you change the truck in the slightest. Remember there is 100,000 mile warranty that is priceless with these trucks
You seem like the kind of dude I'd enjoy working on a truck with. Thanks, Everythang Diesel. Subscribed
thanks brother i appreciate the comment! welcome to the family man i got tons of content on here with weekely uploads!
also make sure your following the channel instagram for 1st dib sneak peaks for the truck and channel
Up here in Canada, you can delete them, you just have to make sure you plug the truck in when it's below -10C.
I appreciate this video, I just changed out my turbo actuator, went the cheaper route this time. I will definitely have to get after that crankcase filter changed soon.
Seeing your truck really makes me want to stop everything on mine, and start looking for a mega cab in a few months. I originally wanted to go for a mega cab for family purposes but my love for 2nd gens was too strong! Wish I could afford them both right now.
pure panoRAMa bro I feel your pain. Haha I love me some 2ndgens but family reasons I went with mega cab. You can still do a lot with these. My only recommendations would be if you get a megacab get pre 08 so 06-07.5 that way you get a 5.9 cummins and will avoid the 68rfe unless you do manual trans then your good with 6.7. I wish I would've gotten a 6 speed manual if I could do it all again. It definetly took some time to get to this point and I'm far from done! Haha but I love your 2nd gen. I'm trying to find a 12 valve 2nd gen hopefully by end of the year for a track truck. I love 12 valves so simple.
EVERYTHANG DIESEL I'd definitely want to keep it in the 5.9 family since I've been working g with a 24 valve already. I know theres some differences but for the most part I'd be more familiar with it overall.
pure panoRAMa yeah man I know what you mean. It ain't that different working on the 6.7. I use to own a 6.0 powerstroke now working on that thing was annoying haha no room whatsoever
That's why I would avoid a powerstroke or duramax until I know the diesel life a bit more. The cummins platform is far more user friendly and easy to learn on. Can't go wrong with that inline 6!
pure panoRAMa all day man. I would mess with a 6.7 powerstroke they look reliable and there trans are strong lol. But the Cummins is it's at! I saw your newest video. I liked it. Gave you a thumbs up
Very informative and professional video man, no useless babble! You’ve earned a subscriber.
Thanks bruddah I appreciate it!!
I have about 200k miles on my 6.7 now and unlike many who mod I actually do tow with it and those trips are over Eisenhower . I still have the stock dpf filter, catalytic converter, and egr valve I still have the CCV filter in it's stock configuration.
I change my oil every 5k miles running T-6 rotella and quality filter ...I change the fuel filter every other oil change sometimes 3rd ...I change the CCV Filter around 40k ... Most of these items people claim to be engine killers usually are so only because they aren't serviced properly .
Very good point about doing routine maintenance. The is very important for longevity.
You dont have to do maintenance on any of that if you get rid of it🤡
@@randomchannel4886 EGR, Throttle valve, ccv, cat , dpf... all were stolen recently by peaceful protesters... they left a 5 position knob on my dash ;-)
Good info/opinions here. I hadn't considered all of this. Thanks for the video!
I live in northern Minnesota, grid heater is a MUST lol but where you love, I get it. That being said, great vid
I gave you a 👍
I could be wrong but on the last mod with the crankcase hose I believe that the purpose that is there is because of the blow by around the Pistons, if you build too much pressure in your crankcase your gaskets will begin to leak.
So it Cycles back into your upper engine to be reburn and exit out the tailpipe relieving crankcase pressure.
But I am surprised to hear that they run it back through the turbo since the turbo is very fragile and even little drops of oil or debris will damage the turbo 😕
My motorhome has a 2001 8.3L Cummins as far as I can tell looks like the previous owner did a modification and on the crankcase hose I believe they have it running down the engine into the open to relieve the crankcase pressure lol.
I'll have to confirm that but that's what it looks like.
Yes because there is a diaphragm on the valve cover behind the breather hose. Allowing it to vent out will help relieve it. Blow by on my engine is very minimal. People are 50/50 on the hose going to the turbo. Half think it needs to be there other half dont. All I know is once a 2nd gen swap is done there isnt even a option to reroute it.
Not having performed that model (I believe) is why the engine brake feature of of my VGT went out. Engine brake worked great slowing down 16k 5th wheel down mountain passes out west. Screwed without it.
Yeah those vanes get stuck pretty easily and are expensive to replace. My brake worked fine on my truck no issues before removing it. I still miss it though sometimes.
I love Florida, no state inspection and no emissions checks
janet sers yep that's right lol simple
@@EVERYTHANGDIESEL Good video Bro,
I'm currently also residing in NC also
Nice and thank you man
Shit hole state full of garbage and foreigners!
Damn somebody hates Florida lol
Great truck, I have a 3500 2009 with many mods, there's a bunch of simple mods that will give you power, but I'm surprised about the billet intake plenum with the grill delete, that one is a hard one to find,, good thing that you did the air horn, the plug un the rail too, another mod is 5 inch straight pipe, is cheap and gives you low EGT and a nice sound, then AIR DOGS or FASS fuel pump system with the sump pump adapters, this is a major upgrade, clean fuel, air free fuel, high volume and high pressure using their fuel lines, easy to install with a empty tank, keep the good job
You should get the Banks INtercooler with the huge tubes, because now your bottleneck is the intercooler with small stock tubes... The Banks made my truck really haul ass after the full delete.
I dont have a stock intercooler I have a mishimoto intercooler with 3.5" piping. I got a video installing it.
@@EVERYTHANGDIESEL way to go!
I actually liked that video man thank you 👍👍👍
You all going find out later on that you need keep the air for the turbo clean as possible. Dirt kills a turbo, I've run over the trucks 26 yrs. We also run pulling tractor, CLEAN air CLEAN air for turbos
Hi
How do you clean it ?
Great video. Where did you get the blue coolant line (the one attached to the bleed vent)?
One more mod that will extend your engine life is an oil bypass system . A little pricey but well worth it . There are many companies that sell them . Semi trucks have been using them for years and that’s how they get a million miles on there engines
Your videos are the only ones I can stand watching. You’re less talk and more action.
thanks man means a lot to me
Got same truck so glad I found your channel love watching the same stuff that I got in the driveway mine's gold though wish it was white but metallic gold on black is still sexy lmfao 2007.5 6.7 strong boys
How many miles your rig got now?
Grid heater is a resistor. Diesels have two batteries for a reason. Its not hard on the system. Its designed to work that way. I live on the gulf coast and will not delete mine. It warms the air going into the intake. Reduces cold engine run time. Makes engine last longer.
Get an air box heater
With the heater delete do I need a tune with that ?
Man I have all those problems. First Cummins so I don't know much but I'm definitely doing all three of those
I recommend a velvet body upgrade my 68 rfe is a 100% better I also did the thermostat delete and I also plan on getting the co-pilot for the wiring harness. That will increase my total capacity big time
For the ccc reroute do you have or recommend the plastic or metal line cap/filler plug?
Does the truck have to be deleted and tuned to vent the CCV pipe like you got?
Models before 13 you should be fine to do it without but anything newer I believe u get a cel
Well dang, lol. Mines a 17. I can’t do anything it seems for another 60,000 miles. I also believe that all these companies selling these delete kits and tuners will be shutting it down after Edge got a 500,000 dollar fine. Edge no longer sells them from what I gather. Anyways, beautiful truck you have. Love my 6.7 even with all the emissions garbage on it.
Oh and I subscribed to your page.
Just asking but you make sure to cycle your computers before you start the truck right cause that would stop the grid heater from cycling as your running your vehicle
Naw I don't do that. It dont get cold enough where I am it rarely comes on.
@@EVERYTHANGDIESEL cycling the system with a diesel is always a good idea before starting it and the grid heater is installed not to reduce any air flow and the flow it does reduce is minimal where as the benefits that it adds for easier starts when used properly and prolonged engine life for not having to cold start
Are u using stock egt sensor for the tuner to read?
If I pull the grid heater are you able to access that whole manifold area of the block? Mines very carbon clogged. I deleted about 20 k ago. Scary looking in there haha
Yea if u pull your grid heater u can get access to your entire intake plenum
Thanks man! I'm already subscribed your videos help me out alot, keep it up thank you
Where can I get the plates to cover the motor when you do a egr delete?
Doing the ccv filter, doesn't that make the check engine light pop on since you are taking away the vacuum? Why not just go with an oil catch can to keep the vacuum and not get the engine light? It's a bit more expensive but over all wouldn't it be better long term?
Curious about the forbidden light question, highly impressed, your knowledge and passion shows!
I was thinking the same, a catch can would be beneficial.
My light engine light didn’t come on, only when I started the truck a reminder light came on saying service engine at 78,000 Kms, after checking the code it was service the CCV, did that and no more reminders.
Excellent Vid Bro! I miss my Cummins. I'm going to pick another one up soon!!
Thanks man! Glad u liked it!!
This is my first vid from your channel! Just gotta say you earned a subscriber man! Great vid and I’ll be sure to watch all of your other helpful vids as well. Sweet truck by the way!!! 😎
Everardo Balderas thanks man!! Glad you enjoyed the video! Hopefully you find more helpful content thank you again
Did you have any problems not putting that middle bolt in on the intake manifold ?
No indidnt
Strong work growing your YT channel. You say in this video you are trying to get to 2000 subs, and now, a year and change later, you are over 10K subs. Awesome work man!
thanks man i appreciate it a lot!! the channel has been growing strong man, got awesome viewers.
I'm new to deisels but deleting the warmer plate wouldn't that make it hard to start in cold weather
I appreciate that you share your opinion and experience on this topic.
Great content, love your video’s my man! Keep it going!
What happens when the ccv filter starts getting clogged can you buy just a filter or do you have to order a whole new kit. And I’m not seeing it anywhere on Amazon if you find a link lmk
Thank you so much!!! Cant wait to get to a state that doesnt hate deletes!!!
Yeah man no worries it's nice cause then u can do anything lol
Unless you plan on driving to states that look for visual parts that are supposed to be there and give you a 10k dollar ticket!
Is Florida one of those states that I can get away with deletes?
Pretty truck man I just picked up a 08 Cummins
Thank u man same year as mine
Do you think the CCV filter / hose elbow should be angled down? seems the sludge/gunk would stay down in the elbow and not all vent upwards towards the filter.. Just a thought. Excellent video
No leaving it up is fine. So the gases are gonna rise because it hot. It's not physical sludge or liquid until it goes through the filter and even then half the time it's more of a vent than filter.
Ahh gotcha. Ok I will be doing this Mod soon. Thanks again for the videos!
Yessir!
After these 3 mods did you get check engine light? And will it still pass emissions? I'm in AZ
Thanks For The Awesome Knowledge My Friend 🙏💯😇
I just picked up a very low mile 2017 2500 thanks for the info, love the all white of your truck looks sweet!👍🏿👍🏿
For the third mod, did you just pull the filter under the valve cover or are you recommending staying on top of changing it out? Nice video man, earned a subscriber for sure. Picking up my 09 in a couple weeks. New to 6.7 as a diehard 5.9 fan lol
Can delete the grid heater without deleting the EGR, like no deletes in the truck?
Sick video man !!
do you have to do any retuning for any off these mods.
Where at in NC bro? I’m in Wilmington
What's up bro. Your video/videos were some of the first videos I watched for my 1st diesel (6.7 2008 2500). I appreciate it 👍.
What was the result of pusher intake and grid heater delete? I didn't see a review
Hey do u know how to get the cam shaft sensor back in on 2016 Cummins 6.7???
Crank sensor? U just push it back in
No it was the cam shaft sensor but that wasn't the problem so we r doing the crank next
Just a suggestion get you a hand held laser off ebay. Their very inexpensive and it would help you point out parts in extremely tight quarters. I really enjoy watching your videos. Thank you!
Nice truck man! I've been looking at 6.7s now for about a year. I have a gas'er now, but here about two years I'm pulling the trigger to a 6.7 mega cab
Brent Hoadley thanks ma. Once you get that megacab it'll probably be the last truck you buy Haha I love them
Got me a brand new 6.7 Mega cab,
Worse decision ever.
These trucks are $ pits,plain & simple.
Banks idash and pedal monster. I’m working on intake horn and air box, exhaust.
Love your vids brother! Much love from your diesel enthusiasts all the way from Southeast Idaho!
Thank you man!!
Great videos man because of you I’ve done all the deletes to my 2012 6.7 Cummins
That's dope man! Saving that money! Glad to hear my videos helping you out brother! Good stuff
I was going to pay a shop to do this here in midland Texas but just for them to the exhaust and just to disconnect the egr and not take it off was going to run me $2,500 but thanks to your vids I did it for free
For that pcv .od wouldnt it be better to run a catch can setup? The purpose of the pcv is to create a vacuum to help seal the runs and seals from leaking. Catch can kit keeps that ability but seperates oil from the air
I just picked up the same air intake manifold for my 2017. Did u do any extra porting or polishing on the inside before installing?
No I just installed as it was. Very good cold air intake
Got a dpf and egr delete but it's throwing maf sensor do I got to upgrade the sensor
Is this Port Wentworth, GA?
Hey man I got a 2015 6.7 how do I know if it’s studded
The grid heater terrifies me man because of that bolt falling into the cylinder. I’d love to delete it but my problem is I live in Virginia and come late January and February it’s down in the 20s and teens out here
Big thanks Man seriously appreciate how you explain things nice and detailed and to the point
Nice video. I'd like to point out that a lift pump is truly only necessary over 750-800 whp for these 6.7s
thanks man but tbh a lift pump is actually one of the best mods you can do even for a stock truck. the added filtration and consistent fuel being supplied and not airrated is better for combustion and easier fuel burn.
Do any of these cause any engine light?
Just an fyi, banks fixed the issue. Look at banks monster ram. Hebtook the grid out and used a coil.
08 3500 mega cab I pulled the ergt plug
I got 24 mpg +4 mpg on a 1300 mile trip
That a boy! Good video keep up the good work brother.
Just found you on RUclips. Love your videos. Just became a subscriber for life. Keep it up and God bless you
thanks brother and welcome to the family man!!! glad your enjoying the content!!
If you gut the ccv filter wont there be a mess when u put the cover back on? I mean there wont be anymore cotton to collect all that junk. and is it bad if i leave the ccv filter on? if so pls explain why
It's not bad to leave to leave the ccv filter in. Only true reason people delete the ccv is to save there turbo from collecting that grimey crankcase fumes from engine which eventually leads to the turbo not performing 100% efficient. Which is why you will see people just route a hose from the crank filter side to the floor so it can evacuate the engine. Also by doing it your oil will stay cleaner due to the ccv filter not holding those fumes and bypass gases in the topside of your valve train.
You wont have a mess long as you remove the filter element correctly and dont damage the top side housing
What is the blue hose from coolant vent to head called
I just call it a egr delete hose
Will any of these affect emission checks? In the city so worried about changing these and then have to undo it because I fail a check.
I question the crank case oil filter delete my friend, wouldn't just changing that filter regular be a better idea?
love the vids. thanks for the info!
He didn't delete the crank case filter, he just delete the hose FROM THE FILTER that's goes on top of the valve cover to the turbo intake hose, he is preventing that the engine suck all of the oil gases from the engine, keeping the turbo and all the intake tubes, intercooler, throttle, plenum, cylinder head clean, plus fresh clean air makes that Cummins more efficient, hope you understand
The small filter on top of the tube is to prevent the engine pressure to spray those gases with tiny oil particles into the engine bay cause a mess
Thanks for the informative video. I got a question bout the ccv filter comment that you made towards the end of the video. I don't think that by disposing of the ccv filter would work. If I remember correctly the nipple that your ccv breather attaches to is actually part of the filter.
thanks man and you can get rid of the nipple becasue all it does is route the crank fumes into the filter. by removing it, the crank fumes will naturally move out to the side of the cover.
