underrated
@@seanstuchbery underrated as a guitarist as well
I swear to all Gods Frank Zappa was the most innovative guitar Player earth had during the 1980 ies. No one played like him.
and his Solos were ALWAYS unique he never played the same Solo s
Thank,s i was on this concert, just behind the scene, RIP Frank, i love you
most genial guitar player for longtime-never get enough-thanks franky-jack
Each and every one of Frank's guitar solos is a unique, intricate, sophisticated, complex musical composition. Not just a bunch of wowie-zowie "licks." A lot of people don't seem to perceive or appreciate that, including apparently Rolling Stone. Those of us who do will continue to be "trans-fused" by his solos, but I've long since given up on any mainstream media recognizing Frank's other-worldly talent for spontaneous musical composition at the guitar.
Spot on! ive always said his solos are just masterpieces unlike anyone elses ive ever heard only one f.z!
Anyone capable of recognizing his ability and his knowledge of music doesn’t need any kind of media outlet to tell them that this guys was doing crazy things. Frank was absolutely the most spontaneous player around.
And also if you appreciate Frank’s solos so much, you should check out the solo section from Dweezils performance of this song in Quebec. Idk what that sax player was on but I need some of that. Dweezil can get by playing has dad stuff for sure but god that sax solo is just hard to beat
Yup,-
Just listened to a bunch of 2013-2015 stuff from some of the alumni playing Frank's music. Without Frank it's like trying to herd a bunch of cats. Only Frank could orchestrate such talent into one cohesive whole
jan vanderlief sad but true....
COTL is one of Frank'standard, playing it casi all nights in1980, 182, 1988 european tour (100 -150 dates). All are diiferents, all are good, a lot are very good,, some are fantastic ! this is it he is the Master !
The Palladium Halloween '77 first concert version was mindblowing to me
Awesome solo Arf!!
This is music for musicians & freethinkers
Anyone know if perhaps higher def of this footage exists somewhere? Man..the sound is fine, but Frank is so hard to see. He's SO on fire that its just about a criminal shame! Certainly grateful , but his this particular show just about levitated me
Ray doing his best Adrian. Oh and this has to be some of the only footage of Logeman playing with the band.
Logeman is a fantastic drummer.
Ray actually did Tiny Lites in the 76 band before Belew joined
Oh no, there is plenty of footage with Logeman and Zappa - I can provide you with it if you want and also tons of sound material with him playing
@@marviemusic5428 Is that offer still open?
@@JohnLloydDavis of cause. I will come back tomorrow :))
Zappa's impersonation of Carlos Santana ladies and gentlemen (just kidding)
Using Carlos Santana's secret chord progression!
evil ways ;-)))
they only had one keyboardist, which is why Barrow doubled up
