Kids, let me explain to you the difference between Ray White and Ike Willis, at least vocally, since there seems to be some confusion. Ray White's the one who sings really high and powerfully. Ike Willis the one who sings sweet and mid-range like, or sometimes low in the case of most of the Thing-Fish album.
That being said, this is obviously Ray White just killin' it on Doreen.

LMFAO!!! THANK YOU for taking time to explain that to those who don't actually own or have ever heard of THINGFISH lol
I couldn't have said it better, especially since DOREEN is one of my top 10 RW vocals, especially the Crush all boxes version
      * Hands you a $40 bill and an honorary bottle of `GALOOT CO-LOG-NUH`

Absolute chaos to some ears; absolute musicality to others. I'm in the latter group.

An added note about Ray White: He's the only one of Frank Zappa's singers who's still got it. Go watch a recent video of him performing this with the Muffin Men. Ray is still hitting all those notes, maybe 90% as well as he did in '81, and Ike, who I loved on Joe's Garage and Tinseltown Rebellion, is singing out of tune. And Bobby Martin, who sang the impossible high notes on Whippin' Post and Zomby Woof, can't really go above an A below the male high C these days.
