I agree I went to one of their first shows in LA and they were being very brave but had not really put together a stage presence. Every show I've been to (3 times) has gotten exponentially better!
@@cz5696 It's pretty clear there are a lot of backing tracks going on, including vocals. And like most artists these days, the performance involves a lot of button-pressing and sequence-triggering. It's an awesome song, but true live performance in this genre is a thing of the past.

If the The Beatles can do multiple takes on a rooftop to an unsuspecting audience then I think Magdalene Bay can do multiple shoots at what was presumably a planned event

I was born in 88 and despite a 30 years head start a lot of music had in my life, MagBay has taken top slot along with the likes of Windows 96 and Luxury Elite.
Truly one of the most unique and talented bands of this time, I love everything they try their hands at, Chaeri and Dreamcatching give me goosebumps even now...
This song was definitely one of my favorites from when I saw them live in February. I’m glad they captured what I was able to experience in a high quality video. I hope they can do a Killshot live video in which they make the transition from the original version to the slowed and reverb version halfway through next.

It seems pretty clear that this song is about mental illness, and after listening to it many times, I'm convinced of something about the part at 3:26 : Instead of Mica setting up some audience participation, imagine that what she's saying is being said by one of the "voices" whispering in your friend's ear.
