    Hi Stephanie I just wanted to say thank you for sharing all your wonderful recipes with us and taking the time to be patient and explain everything so thoroughly every time. I really appreciate it and I always look forward to your new videos. You've inspired to start baking and I look forward to seeing more videos shot from your new beautiful kitchen and pictures of the island!

    I never commented before, but I just wanted to say how much I love and appreciate your recipes&demonstration videos! I really do appreciate how informative you are in every single video, -it's about time you get tired of saying the same thing over and over, but you still repeat them for us! Because of that, I can always rely on a single video to have all the information I need to bake whatever I'm baking. I have tried many youtube recipes and have failed many times, but I know I can trust your recipes because they all have been tested! -and plus, I have tried some and they were good. Today, I am making blueberry muffin for breakfast, one that uses yogurt! First batch just came out of the oven, and I'm waiting for the second batch:) Also, congratulations on your new kitchen and a beautiful sight! As I was watching, I thought of one video idea! how about a video on a kitchen organization? I would love to know your tips! Lastly, but not least, I love your smile :) Thank you so much for sharing your recipes and great videos :D

    Congratulations on your new home, and thank you for sharing the scenery with us, it's so beautiful, enjoy! I also wanted to tell you that I have been watching your videos for quite some time now and enjoy them very much. I enjoy how clear and precise and easy to follow you are. I also really like that you tell us how we can store the baked good after it's finished. I have a quilting group to my house once every few months. We bring our own lunch, but make a desert. Your deserts are often featured!

    Stephanie, what a delight you are! I appreciate your knowledge of baking, your articulation and how precise you are in your measurements. It is my goal in 2017 to become a better skilled baker, and you are a wonderful teacher! I cook well, but my baking skills........leave something to be desired. The confidence I have in preparing food/meals is lacking in baking. I am very grateful to you for your help in this department ;) BTW.....love St. Simon Island!

  • @amybucelewicz4718
    @amybucelewicz4718 6 лет назад

    Yours looks so awesome. I really messed mine up somehow. My peaches were definitely difficult to cut. When I tried folding up the sides of the tart, it completely fell apart. Now I just dumped the peaches in a pie pan and tossed all the dough on top and hopefully I can at least salvage my disaster into a pie/crumble.

    • @joyofbaking
      @joyofbaking  6 лет назад

      There are two types of peaches, 'Clingstone' and 'Freestone', with many varieties within each classification. The names (Clingstone and Freestone) refer to how easily the flesh of the peach separates from its stone. The Clingstone (available in late spring/early summer), is exactly that, the flesh clings stubbornly to the central stone or pit. Freestones (available late summer) have a flesh that is easily separated from the stone. For this tart I prefer the Freestone variety (either white or yellow flesh), which makes cutting the peach into slices very easy. For the pastry, you want to make sure that the pastry isn't too cold or too warm when wrapping it around the peaches. Either way the pastry will tear.
