I made this tart with fresh apricots and it took my breath away (both literally and figuratively, as I could not STOP going for seconds! ) I have been using a recipe from the trusted Italian cookbook for years to bake Crostata di Frutta for years… but then I watched Stephanie’s demo and was inspired to give it a try. So glad I did! It took the crust to a new level: the pastry is delicate and literally melts in your mouth! I also like that it is not overly sweet as I am watching my sugar intake. As suggested, I will experiment with other fillings. My husband says that “the crust could not be better”: it is flaky and moist, similar to a buttery croissant. I went to a farmers market yesterday and purchased the best strawberries, came home and made this. My husband said it was the best! I made a raspberry sauce and served it with vanilla ice cream with the sauce drizzled over. Beautiful presentation and tasted amazing. I love all your recipes. Thank you, thank you!,

Mrs. Jawroski in reality, this is a galette. In a pie or tart crust, you can use frozen vodka in place of the iced water for an even flakier crust. Your baking videos are really enjoyable to watch and it really took off during the early days of the pandemic especially during the lockdowns.

The temperature is the same but the baking time will change. I'd have to experiment to determine the time difference. I mention in the video what to look for so for the first few times you'll have to experiment.
You can roll it out less but keep in mind that it will take longer to bake and your fruit may be over baked. So you will need to cut the fruit into bigger chunks.

Self rising flour contains baking powder and you don’t want baking powder in pastry so the answer is no. You should use all purpose/plain flour.

Usually there aren’t many leftovers for this recipe in my house.
