This advertisement for insect spray Pea-beu was first broadcast on Australian television in the year 1980.
This is one of a series of ad campaigns for Pea-beu which were ran during the 70's and 80's and starred Ross Higgins (famous as Edward Melba "Ted" Bullpitt in Australian comedy Kingswood Country).

I forgot that Ross Higgins did these commercials for Pea-Beu insect killer spray. My lasting memory of him is as Ted Bullpit in the classic Australian TV sitcom - "Kingswood Country" (which screened on the Channel 7 Network back in the 1980`s for anyone reading this outside of Australia).

Did Pea-beu use those slow-mo insect shots for their other ad's? Coz I was only 2 when this ad came out & the memory was there!

They did, when I started in that company as a junior I was shown the 'precious' 400 ft can of 16mm negative that contained the all those shots and was used for all the Pea Beau TVCs. it was shot by the principle of the company Ross Wood famous for his character depiction in the movie 'Newsfront' who had died shortly before I joined in 1982.
