    I use a soup sock so it’s easy to strain everything

      Hi Isabella , how exciting! If you're in the UK, the actual manual isn't included in the box so do download it. There's a link on my unboxing video if you need it. Enjoy the adventure :)

    Makes a lovely stock - thanks for the great video 😁 How long do you think the stock will keep for in the fridge?

    • @CookingandCalm

      Thank you 😊I tend to just keep mine 3-4 days in fridge. For longer store I boil a bit longer so it really condenses down then freeze in ice cube trays

    Thank you - I'm following along with this as I have exactly the same model. What setting do you use to reduce the stock - saute?

    • @CookingandCalm
      @CookingandCalm  10 месяцев назад +1

      Yes , sauté high then turn to low for slower simmer if needed. Enjoy 😊 👍

    Have you got a link for that strainer set, Sue? - I've tried searching on Amazon, but with no success.

      Hi Nigel, I've just put a link to a similar set under the video. Hopefully this works or will help you find a similar one. 👍

    Hello! Just the recipe I was looking for! But I’m making beef broth, is it done within the same time and pressure?

    • @CookingandCalm
      @CookingandCalm  3 месяца назад

      Hi there, I’d do it high pressure 45m to 1 hour 👍

    I never realised it took that long to make stock in a pressure cooker, you assume it would be fast like everything else. Pity i don't have room in my freezer. Apologies Sue for going a little off topic but may i ask if you are doing anymore videos on the paprika app? I am still not using it properly i don't think

      Hi Julie, you can make stock in 30 mins in pressure cooker but for this ' bone broth style' it's much longer. Takes about 3-4 times that on the hob.
      Paprika - no prob at all. Yes I will do when I have a theme that might work. May I ask where you're getting stuck and maybe I can help in some way ?

      @@CookingandCalm thank you Sue, well it is just me that i mainly cook for, so I don't buy in bulk, my adult daughter is autistic and hates food full stop. lol so i use the app for weekly shopping but am finding it a trial each week putting fresh items in the pantry. section. I have no choice but to buy from supermarkets and finding use by dates on fresh food maximum 3 days..so i am having to update almost twice a week...or am i doing something wrong? If i don't have the fresh items in i don't know what is due up so i can use it...

      Oh that must be so difficult Julie. I do have some experience working with children and young people with autism and similar conditions and I know how tough that can be sometimes. Well done you for even managing to use Paprika at all! I'd also find it too much tracking everything in that way so maybe try another way. One idea is to maybe reverse the process a bit for fresh food - so do a little draft meal plan for the week (maybe mostly standard regular recipes that you know you'll both eat + 1 'adventuring' recipe plus 1 'back up' that you know your daughter will eat if the adventuring recipe isn't a hit. Do the plan before you do your shopping, export the ingredients you need to your shopping list, then buy the fresh food you need to fit with your plan (rather than working out what you can cook with what you have bought). In that way, there's no need to add the fresh food to your pantry as you know it will be used. I don't know if that's any use at all to you - I hope so.

      @@CookingandCalm thank you Sue, yes I will try the reverse tactic but am afraid we do not eat the same food I can only think of one meal we both eat but I have to make two separate versions lol don’t worry I have had over 40 years experience with her sensory issues! This was why I bought the Instant Pot to make my life easier but she will not eat anything cooked in it so I use it for me only. This is also why I don’t batch cook as much as I would like to. Having said that I have been keeping fit for almost a year now and eat only fresh food, no dairy and high protein low carb diet. (Lost two and a half stone) I am at present on a maintaining diet as I have reached my goal. What I may do is just use Paprika for me as I can put my diet in and forget so I can concentrate on doing what she eats, that may be the end solution. Once again many thanks for your advice, always helpful to hear another’s point of view. Can,t wait to watch your next episode.
