Theres a moment in Sabaody where Kizaru is standing over Usopp, raising his leg while its shining bright. Usopp is frozen in fear but as soon as he hears Luffy say "USOPP!" without any care for his fear he steps back and draws back his Kabuto.
"You know Robin your ability to read poneglyphs is super valuable you will be in a lot more danger from here on out."
Robin: "Nah, I'd be protected"
And she absolutely is protected, straw hats would risk their lives to make sure she stays alive

What I regret the most about, as a kid, joining the crew during the pre-Water Seven filler arcs, is that I missed most of the emotions of the whole Merry death + Usopp/Luffy interactions. Robin scene, though, still was a lot.
Came here to say this. That line combined with the look of desperation on Robin’s face made me cry like a baby. It instantly invokes all that we’ve learned about Robins backstory, how difficult it is for her to say that, the fact that she now has the will to even utter the words. All of it hits at once and your heart clenches because you know all this woman has ever wanted is a family. To live happily and chase her dreams. God I’m tearing up just thinking about it.
Literally one of the BEST moments in one piece for me, her face, the intensity, the desperation. I felt everything, gave me that extra boost to actually want to live too
Honestly, my favourite line of dialogue is when sanji is thanking zeff.

"Raizo is safe" is great and all, but no one ever talks about Raizo giving as well as he took: they had to chain him up into the poneglyph to stop him from giving himself up to stop the slaughter.
Can’t wait for Robin to realize that she has nothing to fear because she did exactly what Saul told her to do and she’ll be damned if she isn’t able to introduce them to him after discovering that he’s still alive.
I mean she doesn't have to fear anything. She's part of a Yonko crew.

@@skullknight630 I saw the adaptation and I'm really impressed so far. If i remember right, the Hiiragi fight would have to take a whole episode. It was pretty fleshed out. The manga line hit different though. It was what sucked me in to the story.
It would be funny if Ussop tells Saturn "I have 10,000 men at my command" and Saturn believes him and then raises his bounty a lot after Egghead.

She's easily THE most important. She's the only one who can read the ponyglyphs and knows vital history
First one is Zoro, his navigational insticts will lead crew straight to Laughtale.

One of my favorite monologues which I can almost guarantee no else thinks about came from Wyper:

@@eliaspanayi3465 Massive PP moment. He doesn't need to beat Saturn, he doesn't need that Nothing Happens, that's not his character. But him risking his life for a friend, even if he ends up bloodied, and crying about it, like in Syrup Village, Arlong Park, Alabasta, Enies Lobby, Dressrosa, that's a wonderful Usopp moment for us all to be happy about. And doing that in front of an Eldritch being like Saturn, a goddamn Gorosei? I can immediately picture panties dropping all over the world.

"Protect Robin" is the strawhat equivalent to Avengers Assemble
Honestly favorite line is probably either Brook or Jinbes,
Brook: "Young lady, what kind of fool plans for their own death!" (paraphrasing)
Jinbe: "I am a member of the future king of the pirates crew, I cannot be afraid of a mere Emperor" (also paraphrasing)
For real tho whole cake island has some hard ass lines.

Fav line from a manga which lives rent free in my head-

It not word to word but those words did hit hard when i read it ever 12+ years later.
My favorite line of dialogue is when Luffy told Momo to bite Kaido.
"when does a man die? When he takes his last breath?..no. A man dies when he is forgotten"
My grandfather passed away recently. And these words were echoing in my head that whole day in the hospital

I absolutely love the line from renji when they are going to fight the arrancars. The pre fight credo before they all split up. Especially listening to the VA saying it. (English in this case) it was powerful.

Though our paths may diverge, our iron hearts remain together.

Renji had a lot of good lines
His one liner when he showed up to fight Mask De Masculine is probably one of the most badass one liners ever.

My favorite manga line isn’t really one line, it’s Pain’s whole speech to Naruto about the cycle of hatred. For the first time in the series, he posed hard questions that Naruto didn’t have an immediate answer for. To this day, folks can still have whole discussions about that speech.
One of my favorite pieces of dialogue is Luffy’s speech when he was defeating Doflamingo. That ‘you’re suffocating me’ panel! 😮💨
Of course ‘i want to live’ is impeccable and Saul’s speech to Robin. Love it love it

I always love a "sorry I'm late" moment. Just from any anime or manga in general it's my favorite cliche.
Like when Shanks showed up at Marineford just in time to save Coby "Well said, young soldier..."
Tekkin you need to made a video on how moria was right. He has a ship island and that's basically what water seven is trying to build. We could be accidentally saved by moria by transforming every island into a giant ship.
It also has connections to the giants pulling wano together to keep the islands from sinking
For me if was:
Saturn: "What quirk of destiny ties you together? Do you have any idea who that man is?!"
Dory and Brogy: "Of course we do. He's our buddy!"
Something that probably slips peoples' minds a lot about Water 7 is that Nami was *locked in* on rescuing Robin as soon as she knew the truth.
She was the most vocally gung ho after Luffy.

I had a dream about that reflective motion you speak of about my nephew. That feeling is like your body acting faster than your brain when most times its your brain sending signals to your body. This motion saves lives.
Doflamingo's Marineford quote is my favorite quote in all of anime/manga.
"Pirates are evil? The Marines are righteous? These terms have always changed throughout the course of history! Kids who have never seen peace and kids who have never seen war have different values! Those who stand at the top determine what's wrong and what's right! This very place is neutral ground! Justice will prevail, you say? But of course it will! Whoever wins this war becomes justice!"
There's a webnovel called Worm that has an entire chapter that is just 4 words and it rocked everyone.

It's kind of crazy how outclassed the Strawhats are here. The Gorosei are no joke. Puts into perspective how they can deal with a Yonko crew themselves.
The image of jimbe coming off the top rope and slamming into Saturn with a headlock would be AMAZING
I can imagine Nami building up charge for Zeus then pulling an Enel and vaporizing the cloud underneath Saturn so they can get away.
I always enjoy the dont give up and push forward parts in series.

One of my favourite panels is "Musashi is no longer Musashi." From 301 of Vagabond. The look of defeat and profound sadness born from the path he had chosen for himself, and the beginning of his journey to enlightenment. It is such an impactful moment for me in such a beautiful story.
for a time back when i was struggling with college and life in general "i wanna live" is always right there at the top.
Damn you for putting that Usopp scene in my head, because I’ll be disappointed when it doesn’t happen. That said, I’m really glad you emphasized this moment in the chapter because I also found it very emotional and sweet

The panel in ennies lobby where Robin says: “I want to live!” That hit so hard for me in the last few years even more as someone who has made attempts on my own life, coming to the point where you legitimately want to live is so powerful.
One moment I really put respect on Nami is during Onigashima when Ulti was headbutting the shit out of her. And she still said Luffy is gonna be the Pirate King while crying/smiling

I know “Raizo is safe” is more important and big perhaps but for me the most effective was actually sabaody post time skip and pacifista fire at Luffy he dodged and said the two most iconic words to me “too slow”. The indication of the amassed strength was so big I just lost it

Not truly a line, but an exchange at the end of their final fight, it's my favorite and it always leaps to my mind immediately when I am questioned of or thinking of impactful scenes.
For someone who grew up alone, and had followed the story most of my childhood, that moment in their final battle...it was truly powerful and truly beautiful.

As someone who didn't read the manga until years after first watching the anime, I did indeed hear the voices in my head. The weird one was Franky, because his Japanese and English voice actors sound so different, my brain couldn't settle on which one to use, and went back and forth.

I definitely also like to imagine the characters voices for a manga or whatever I'm reading, assuming there is already an anime for it of course. Gets tricky when characters get added that either weren't in the anime yet or just didn't get a voice. Speaking of, since it seems like we'll get to the imu voice episode in the anime before any real reveal in the manga, I could totally see tekking making a video analyzing imu's voice.
That one was definitely a good moment I look forward to seeing it animated. One thing I think should be clear is that Chopper doesn’t really strike me as cowardly anymore. He was like that at first because he didn’t have faith in his own abilites. But over the series he’s grown to realize just how strong he actually is. So he’s alot more confident in himself. Remember he helped Brook try to take the sunny back from two of Big mom’s strongest and took on Queen without a second thought. It’s not really a question of if he’ll step up in my eyes at least not anymore.
