Vanity Vains vocals in Every Queen has got to be one of the best vocals in Drag Race history. I keep returning to it, and it is still on repeat, after all these months. Admira gave very The Vivienne vibes from the minute she entered the workroom.
"They say it's rude to stare, but go ahead and Admira...Thunderp*ssy" this line lives rent free in my head! Also her ru-veal/transformation runway. And Vanity Vain's voice? The surprise I had when she sang so good, most specially in "Every Queen" Also, Santana S*xmachine deserved better! She should have won at least 2 of the challenges, a potential contender against Admira
Drag Race Sverige is by far one of the top franchises. The sisterhood is so strong. And the host has so so many compliments and kind words for people leaving the competition. Really heart warming.
what made the season even better is that there were no available spoilers like there is for like every season at this point, which made the twists and gags more shocking because NOBODY expected them
The workroom non-drag wardrobe of this cast was the absolute best. So chic! I was fascinated by how much Electra, Vanity, and Admira looked like they could be related, brothers (sisters). My pick was Electra but she just didn’t have the versatility to outshine the rest. Admira was a very deserving winner.
kinda unrelated, but admira has one of the most captivating mugs from the entire franchise. it looks doll-like but human-like, sultry but sweet, severe but gentle... it really adds to her magnetism
Honestly this season was too underrated. Hope everyone gives it a watch! Also another franchise I think you could talk about is the stark difference in quality in Drag Race Italia Season 1 and 2. It was WILD.
I just gotta say Santana's exit line slayed me! It's gotta be the most iconic one. When I heard 'Only RuPaul can judge me', I gagged. It shook me more than Imma's elimination and I didn't think that was possible. Having said that, I do think that Robert Fux is one of the best hosts from all the franchises. I would also love to take the time to share the love I have for Admira Thunderpu**y. Her confidence still gives me life and her talent is undeniable. Amazing human being in and out of drag. In the words of Drag Race PH: 'Deserved!'
I really hope Sverige will get its second season. With few fixes here and there second season could be even better than the first. Heja Sverige! 💙💙💛💛 Don't think my own country (Finland) will get its own drag race anytime soon so watching our beloved western neighbor is closest thing we got.
I truly love this season so much, the queens were so entertaining, everyone had their moments to shine, great storylines, and the lipsyncs were really good. I mean my god, we had Loreen, Icona Pop and finally ABBA!! MY fav this season was Elektra, she's so campy, so glam, her style of lipsync is so stupid that I fell in love with her, also her talent number was really good! It had Its DOWNS, everything wasn't perfect, but it felt geniune and most important, we got the chance to see these amazing queens!

Sverige was such an incredible season with one of the best final 3s. All strong in varied ways. Admira Thunderp*ssy is one of the strongest winners of all the franchises and I really enjoyed Fux as a host/judge (her denim horn lewk was 🔥) Thanks for shining a little light on it.
It's strange for me because in Sweden this season was really popular. All of the queens were invited to perform for one of the biggest pride festivals in Stockhokm. Elektra and Admira have been performing on big stages all across the country. Elektras talent show song went viral here and has become a really popular song. Suprised it didn't get much attention internationally. These queens deserve so much praise!
I was one of the few people who did was Sverige as it came out, keep in mind I live in the middle of bumfuck nowhere in the US so I had ZERO idea what to expect I’m so glad you gave this franchise a bigger platform, people should go watch it. Even if the middle part is a little rocky with some eliminations that I was, cold on. But the season still is great. And Admira Thunder⛳️ is a deserving winner. Also Endigo if you’re in my neighborhood, feel free to come by my house, I’ll show you some, hospitality

I do love the non-lip sync ending, it allows the queens to really invest in their finale look in a different way. You can give eleganza and not have to worry about having to dance to a disco song afterwards.
I wonder if they knew they wouldn’t be lip syncing, though. I think if I would be going on to a Drag Race Season, I would expect I’d have to lip sync if I made it to the top 2 or top 3. So I wonder if production told them that if they make the Top 2, there’d be no lip sync.

A queen coming back to the competition after won the reading challenge, eliminating a front runner, having untucked that just really showed their sisterhood, having 3 queens that resides/working outside Sweden and a queen that born outside Sweden, and not having lip sync for the crown. Antonina Nutshell also having the most iconic track record: LOW-ELIM--RTRN+BTM2-LOW-ELIM
Thank you for this! I’m surprised DR Sverige and Belgique got so little love, I enjoyed both. Robert Fux’ looks were incredible, I loved Fux’s little fairytale-esque workroom videos & some of the Swedish queens were stellar! Also if anyone is put off by the first episode of Belgique imo it gets so much better, stick with it, the Belgian queens make a particularly lovely cast (the jury are maybe an acquired taste!), and the winner is one of the most unique queens in all the franchises! Even though not in my personal top 3 (DRUK2, Espana1 & France) I loved them 💕
I would like to point out that Brazil has both the largest Pride event in the world (São Paulo) and also the most online popular drag queens ever (Pabllo Vittar and Gloria Groove). It's kinda insane that we don't have a Drag Race already, and it shows how the so-called First World countries sleep on Latin American countries.
Yes, and also 1- Brazil has a very distinct Drag scene, known especially for the performance 2- Brazilian culture is perfect for drag Race (if the ball is not based on Brazilian aspects I'll fucking lose it)
I won't deny the incredible drag scene across Brazil, but I don't think its fair to say its "first-world countries sleeping on Latin America". Even though WOW is a USA company, the largest fanbase for Drag Race has always been in the US (which is why multiple English-speaking DR shows have been made) and across Europe (which is why France/Spain/Italy etc. got theirs shortly after). Brazil clearly has a big enough fanbase to support a drag race show, and has for a long time, and the demand has always been high so there's been nothing to stop Brazilian networks making their own over the years.
I was so hyped at first bc the girls looked really good and it was one of the seasons with the most alternative artists in the cast with Santana, Imaa and Endigo and knowing Sweden I wasn't surprise, a lot of people call Sweden the Japan of Europe bc of how weird and unique their artists are...But seeing how all three of were kinda robbed (Imaa going home when Antonina had 3 bottoms and one of them was an elimination) Santana not getting the win for the talent show and Endigo being in the bottom2 for the first episode and in the bottom 3 for the talent show...
I really loved this season, it felt like an old season of drag race with both fun and wholesome moments, and some sad ones too. The cast felt was so talented and the runways were amazing. Love the channel as a international obssesed fan as well

I absolutely loved this season, and even though I'm a brazilian, couldn't help to root for Admira, the way she grew in the season was superb. The only kinda fkd up thing to me about the show was the fact that Fux followed everyone from the cast but Fontana, and there've been some rumours about xenophobia against her. But a great season in general, even the acting challenge, that I usually dislike, was very funny and well thought, to me. Loving your videos ♥
This review lowkey makes me wanna give it a try. I like the fact that different countries give us the opportunity to learn about those cultures and the way they do drag both in a modern and classic fashion. I found this cast very unique it really highlighted unique styles of drag. Great video please do this for all of the international franchises.
the way me and my friends adore Admira, like she is definitely one of the most motherly mothers of all drag queens, like we call her the ultimate mother! (we’re from Sweden) she is the best, I got to meet her and she was so sweet and so shady in the best way possible!
@@Dalsemien The queens have been seen everywhere here, on tv, on advents. Fontana is doing a collab with the biggest beauty store from Sweden. But the ratings were so bad that it was consider a flop. So I really hope that internationally they'll have the recognition that the queens deserve.

I watched Sweden. It was great! I loved Electra as a talking head, though I did think that the lip syncs of Sweden were very different than ours and so not as exciting to me. I also thought it was fun having a spooky queen like Faux (sp?) as the host. It was good! Are you going to review Belgium next? Justice for Mademoiselle Boop!
I absolutely love Drag Race Sverige, it was so good and the queens were amazing. Totally agreed with everything and I am patiently waiting for Season 2, glad they didn't do a Lip Sync for the Crown it was a welcome change. Thank you so much for another great video.
Drag Race Sweden was the first franchise to feature an ABBA song as a lip sync song (Cher’s cover of Gimme Gimme Gimme does not count). And the song was… Kisses of Fire. By all measures a BRILLIANT song. It is my 6th favourite ABBA song. But it is SO obscure. It was never released as a single. It was never performed live (only prerecorded on TV specials). I really expected a bigger hit like Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia or The Winner Takes it All. But I cannot complain about Kisses of Fire because it is a BANGER.
I loved the entire season, and all of the queens did so well. They were so good to each other and my partner and I got emotional watching it. I'm so glad I was able to access it on SVT. My favorite queen was Vanity Vain
What was also amazing about this season were the guest judges. Siw Malmkvist was the best guest judge in any drag race season ever. And even the lesser known ones brought an amazing energy.
I gotta admit that I was at first very lukewarm to this season, and didn't even start it until it was at its 4th episode (?), especially since we had so many other franchises going on at the same time. But it really grew on me! The queens were so much fun and creative, but also they were allowed to be super c*nty while being good judies to each other. They weren't loud, but they produced some of the best drama and shade, so I wouldn't say the season didn't have drama. The looks were good, the challenges were interesting, they had an amazing winner, I also liked the host, so, what's not to like? I also kinda enjoy that we get so many small country european franchises, since it started to create a different kind of continental drag interactions.
Not me watching this video before watching the last 2 episodes of the season and getting spoiled 😂 But I do agree Sweden has been one of the best seasons
I don’t remember the numbers exactly but the first episode of Drag Race Sverige had between 700k-800k viewers which is a lot for our small country (a little less then 10%) and this was only on SVT! After that the viewership dropped to about 3%! Majority of Swedes had no idea what Drag was until this show started airing! I’m happy more people do now and hope for another season! I think someone from SVT said that they wished the show had more engagement ( so do i ) I’m afraid there won’t be another season unless another Swedish streaming service picks it up from public service (SVT) and can use sponsors etc to keep it going! Idk if this is true but someone said SVT only bought the rights to produce one season, this sucks because getting a perfect FIRST season is probably close to impossible! Soz for my bad English! I hope you understand and THANK you for supporting our season and queens❤️

🙋♀ I'm one of the 36! I love Admira and I'm so happy she won. But I have to confess, I didn't like her for a couple of episodes. My frontrunner was Elecktra. I think Fux is a really good host. I hope it comes back. If I had to go by these queens, I think Swedish drag is very interesting.
I also really liked this season except for the twist of bringing someone back in which was unnecessary. We got a really emotional story from them (Antonina) who came back the next episode which was important socially, but also in terms of competition she was kind of weak and kicked off someone who was more interesting to the fanbase
All love to Antonina, but if the returning queen lands immeditately at the b2 with the current front runner, You send her home 😢 this really killed a lot of the Joy from the season to me, because Imaa was such a Good contender for the Crown. She and Admira fighting would be legendary
I find it impossible to judge this season just because I essentially love the entire cast that I feel they were all robbed. The queen I was rooting for to win changed at least 5 times throughout the season, imo one of the best casts ever.
I like there wasn’t a lipsync for the crown at the finale. I’m over it from the USA seasons. It complicates the queens deciding to wear an iconic outfit to be crowned with, and something comfortable to lipsync. It also puts track record into question, which imo it’s a fair way to crown a queen, predictable, yes, but fair. I’m all for an iconic final challenge in that episode, but that as a separate part from that crowning moment.
I loved the series. I thought the cast was just perfect & I wished they did an AS8 and didn't eliminate weekly. AND that final performance song {chef's kiss}
The intresting thing is that SVT have tried to get the rights to dragrace for sooo long, like way before even before UK started. In fux’s podcast Drottningmötet (and i think they talked about it in Qx magazines’s Alfred och drottningarna too) i believe they mentioned this and I think they also mentioned that other networks even tried to film their own drag race inspired shows, that never aired cuz they viewed the gay audience as a target audience that is too small.
also... Brazil has a population of over 200 million, in comparison to Sweden's 10 million, and Brazilians are quite famous for being fierce fans of different things, especially if it involves Brazil and Brazilians. also, they have a very visible and big drag culture, so it's not a surprise that Drag Race Sverige's announcement got absolutely washed by the low-key Brazil announcement, haha! och detta kommer från en tjej que fala tanto português quanto sueco
To me it was funny that this season was made at all because drag isn't really that big here in Sweden. Like all the gays do watch Drag Race, but IRL even big cities don't have a lot of gay clubs or bars, and so there isn't much space for queens to perform.

I found this cast very unique it really highlighted unique styles of drag. Great video please do this for all of the international franchises.
the way me and my friends adore Admira, like she is definitely one of the most motherly mothers of all drag queens, like we call her the ultimate mother! (we’re from Sweden) she is the best, I got to meet her and she was so sweet and so shady in the best way possible!
I liked Drag Race Sverige, but it didn't go well here in Sweden with low ratings. It's a shame, because the queens are awesome
It has garnered a lot of more traction after it aired though, and the critics loved it.
@@Dalsemien The queens have been seen everywhere here, on tv, on advents. Fontana is doing a collab with the biggest beauty store from Sweden. But the ratings were so bad that it was consider a flop. So I really hope that internationally they'll have the recognition that the queens deserve.
They only counted live viewers though, and not views on SVT play and WOWpresents

i also loved drag race sweden, even though I knew admira was winning the second she walked in it still told a good yet interesting and different narrative than we've ever gotten, it's definitely worth watching tbh
This was the most satisfing season of drag race this year so far for me.
So much talent, and a fabulous deserving winner.
I just finished this season and I really enjoyed it. There was such a neat energy between everyone and my goodness Fontana's energy cannot be matched!

I watched Sweden. It was great! I loved Electra as a talking head, though I did think that the lip syncs of Sweden were very different than ours and so not as exciting to me. I also thought it was fun having a spooky queen like Faux (sp?) as the host. It was good! Are you going to review Belgium next? Justice for Mademoiselle Boop!

Sverige and Belgique have been my favorite versions this year. Robert Fux and Rita Baga were both amazing, as were the casts.
Deja Skye had immunity in season 14 as well. YAYEAH
I absolutely love Drag Race Sverige, it was so good and the queens were amazing. Totally agreed with everything and I am patiently waiting for Season 2, glad they didn't do a Lip Sync for the Crown it was a welcome change.

Drag Race Sweden was the first franchise to feature an ABBA song as a lip sync song (Cher’s cover of Gimme Gimme Gimme does not count). And the song was… Kisses of Fire. By all measures a BRILLIANT song. It is my 6th favourite ABBA song. But it is SO obscure. It was never released as a single. It was never performed live (only prerecorded on TV specials). I really expected a bigger hit like Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia or The Winner Takes it All. But I cannot complain about Kisses of Fire because it is a BANGER.
I loved the entire season, and all of the queens did so well. They were so good to each other and my partner and I got emotional watching it. I'm so glad I was able to access it on SVT. My favorite queen was Vanity Vain

What was also amazing about this season were the guest judges. Siw Malmkvist was the best guest judge in any drag race season ever. And even the lesser known ones brought an amazing energy.

omg im obsessed i just ended watching your Spanish video and after refreshing my YT saw a new video
I gotta admit that I was at first very lukewarm to this season, and didn't even start it until it was at its 4th episode (?), especially since we had so many other franchises going on at the same time. But it really grew on me! The queens were so much fun and creative, but also they were allowed to be super c*nty while being good judies to each other. They weren't loud, but they produced some of the best drama and shade, so I wouldn't say the season didn't have drama. The looks were good, the challenges were interesting, they had an amazing winner, I also liked the host, so, what's not to like?
I also kinda enjoy that we get so many small country european franchises, since it started to create a different kind of continental drag interactions.
Not me watching this video before watching the last 2 episodes of the season and getting spoiled 😂
But I do agree Sweden has been one of the best seasons

I don’t remember the numbers exactly but the first episode of Drag Race Sverige had between 700k-800k viewers which is a lot for our small country (a little less then 10%) and this was only on SVT! After that the viewership dropped to about 3%!
Majority of Swedes had no idea what Drag was until this show started airing! I’m happy more people do now and hope for another season!
I think someone from SVT said that they wished the show had more engagement ( so do i )
I’m afraid there won’t be another season unless another Swedish streaming service picks it up from public service (SVT) and can use sponsors etc to keep it going!
Idk if this is true but someone said SVT only bought the rights to produce one season, this sucks because getting a perfect FIRST season is probably close to impossible!

I also really liked this season except for the twist of bringing someone back in which was unnecessary. We got a really emotional story from them (Antonina) who came back the next episode which was important socially, but also in terms of competition she was kind of weak and kicked off someone who was more interesting to the fanbase
All love to Antonina, but if the returning queen lands immeditately at the b2 with the current front runner, You send her home 😢 this really killed a lot of the Joy from the season to me, because Imaa was such a Good contender for the Crown. She and Admira fighting would be legendary

Imo Svervige was quite fun it wasn’t the greatest season but it had some really fun moments. Lip sync songs were amazing this season

I find it impossible to judge this season just because I essentially love the entire cast that I feel they were all robbed. The queen I was rooting for to win changed at least 5 times throughout the season, imo one of the best casts ever.
I like there wasn’t a lipsync for the crown at the finale.
I’m over it from the USA seasons.
It complicates the queens deciding to wear an iconic outfit to be crowned with, and something comfortable to lipsync.
It also puts track record into question, which imo it’s a fair way to crown a queen, predictable, yes, but fair.
I’m all for an iconic final challenge in that episode, but that as a separate part from that crowning moment.

As soon as I saw the season 1 promo, I immediately thought “the one in the pink gown with blonde hair, is going to be the winner”
The intresting thing is that SVT have tried to get the rights to dragrace for sooo long, like way before even before UK started. In fux’s podcast Drottningmötet (and i think they talked about it in Qx magazines’s Alfred och drottningarna too) i believe they mentioned this and I think they also mentioned that other networks even tried to film their own drag race inspired shows, that never aired cuz they viewed the gay audience as a target audience that is too small.
also... Brazil has a population of over 200 million, in comparison to Sweden's 10 million, and Brazilians are quite famous for being fierce fans of different things, especially if it involves Brazil and Brazilians. also, they have a very visible and big drag culture, so it's not a surprise that Drag Race Sverige's announcement got absolutely washed by the low-key Brazil announcement, haha! och detta kommer från en tjej que fala tanto português quanto sueco

To me it was funny that this season was made at all because drag isn't really that big here in Sweden. Like all the gays do watch Drag Race, but IRL even big cities don't have a lot of gay clubs or bars, and so there isn't much space for queens to perform.
That’s interesting because even though the Drag scene isnt big in Sweden, it still managed to birth one of the biggest international Drag stars ever with Christer Lindarw
