- I've always thought my Dad could really use a small tractor with a front end loader to help out with chores around the house and we finally found him a John Deere 445 with model 40 front loader. In this video he gets it all cleaned up and ready to use on some projects for Mom.
I'd like to give a heartfelt Thank you to all of the viewers and subscribers of Neil's channel for the kind words and comments. It was fun to work with my grandson Trent sabotaging Neil's channel while he was on vacation.
I'm really enjoying my new toy, I even have Mom using it to carry water to her flower pots.
I was really touched by the great reviews from Neil's followers. If I'm lucky and Neil is willing, I'll see you in some more. - Dad
P.S. I'm still waiting for snow
Great Job!
Now we know where the guys get all of their profound knowledge excellent character.
I was super excited to see a 445 with a 40 loader on the channel. It was the JD garden tractor stuff that God me watching DDD and I've been hooked since then!
We Need More DAD!!! ❗️
Your dad seems like a great guy.
Indeed he is.
Pop looks happy as a clam on that tractor. Plus, it beats pushing a wheelbarrow.
A star is born! Sorry Neil we need more of your dad now.
Congratulations to him fits him like a glove he looks like a little kid with a new toy good for him
Here's Neil in thirty years, again fixing up Bruno.🤣
Was that Neil as a baby?
" One day I'll be riding this! " 🤣
All the generations today. 👍
Nice job dad.👍
The baby is our youngest grandchild, Orion Koch. He is Neil's brother Troy's baby
He is awesome,cutie-pie
I see a spin off channel in the making! I'd watch it every week! Great Job Jack & Trent.
Jack, that is one fine "Honey Do" machine! Congratulations!
My dad has gone to be with the LORD JESUS many years ago but it gives me great joy to see someone look after their old father the way I would have loved to have done to my father in his old age . You're and good son to your father.
Love your channel 👍🏾
I too lost my father too early. I only have a few photos of him and even fewer of my grandfather. If only I had one video where I could see them and hear their voices again…. So, I have a small RUclips channel where my children and grandchildren can see me when I’m gone… if they want to.
You might think about making a few videos and posting them… just for that purpose. You can make them public so they can see them without any restrictions.
@mudfoot3000 Thank you. I heard a quote one time that I like that goes something like: "The debt we owe to our parents we pay onto our children". I'd like to think we can also pay back a little to our folks though too 😉
@sassafrasvalley1939 I love that you're doing that for future generations and others can very much enjoy as well! 😉
Your dad seems like the type of guy that I could sit down and listen to tell stories for hours and not get bored! I think he did a awesome job with this video, and with any luck we will see him on it on the next one!😜
Love hearing from the Silent Generation folks. One of the best this country has produced.
This was great! Good buy on the tractor, and the replacement seat and panels made it look as good as it works. Any time Dad wants to take over the channel he definitely should.
Thanks 👍
The OG showing the young whipper snapper how it’s done! 😂
I just read in a previous comment "DigDriveD-a-d"... Look out Neil, Jack is taking the spotlight 👌 ❤ He looked like a little kid when you guys were driving to pick it up! Love it!!!
Love it!
Even just seeing the idea I wanna say that I love it. DigDriveDad all the way! ❤
Heck yeah!
Hello Neil. You bought dad a nice tractor . He was really happy and loves his new toy. He gave it a good wash and detailing. Dad is definitely way quicker with restorations than you 😉. Hey build grandma a nice planterbox so she will be happy to. It was a nice video with dad , he definitely knows how to entertain his audience 👍. Wish you al the best , and a good trip. Greetings from belgium 🇧🇪
Neil you made your dad’s day with getting him a tractor 🚜 that he can use for a lot of things to come ❤😊😮
You have some competition now. Your Dad is a good host. That tractor looks good all cleaned up. I used to have the 455 with that loader on it. Good tractor, I miss that one sometimes. CONGRATULATIONS to Jack on his new tractor
Love seeing your dad happy! His new tractor looks great can’t wait to see more on it!
That is one nice looking tractor! We can see where Neil gets his skills from
Neat! Looks like dad and nephew both approve of the new tractor. When you go to buy something used and it runs, that is a big plus. It is looking like new with just a little spiffing up. Dad should get many years of use out of it. Thanks for the video!
-mike
Great Job finding your dad a JD! It seems perfect for him. Now all he needs is a snow blower attachment for it 🤣and snow 🤣
I'm glad he is having fun with his own JD.
Thank you for posting! See you in the next one!
Great Family Channel and a beautiful Family Indeed !
That's a huge compliment. Thank you kindly Sir, from Neil's Mom

Watch out Neil! Got some new talent in town. Teaching the grand baby to drive is great also.
Your Dad is very comfortable sounding when talking to the camera. He did a great job and that’s a great looking little tractor too.
I think so too!
Beautiful tractor first snow storm we need another dad episode see how he uses it for snow that seem to be what he wanted it for most
That's a great idea 👍🏻
Exemplary video today

You do a good job.
( P.s. I live in Orion, Illinois ,
Over near the quad city's)
Awesome! We hope to visit John Deere on Tuesday in the Quad Cities.
My goodness gracious! Dad is happy happy happy about his 'new' tractor!! He needs his own channel now...Ha! He did a real nice job with content, and I don't know who was filming for him, but good work cameraperson! I know you are enjoying your trip...you can't go wrong with Colorado!
That was great! Thinking your Dad might be the new up and coming RUclips star!! 😁
I'm so glad your father got a useful machine and one he can enjoy
Who doesn’t like a new tractor. The smiles on everyone’s faces, especially the little one at the end playing with the steering wheel……, priceless!
Me being older in my life, I wish I was able to to be closer to my father. Our history is complicated. Of course. But watching this makes me feel sad of what could have been. What me and my father and brother could of had. Me being happy with my father has passed. He’s not gone, but it feels that way. Neil, I know you do, cherish these moments while you have them. This video above all you’ve made makes me wanna cry for what could have been. And is why I love this channel. Why I keep coming back every time. It reminds me of a time that never happened. But, it makes me happy that Father and Son relationships are still happening. And will still happen. I’m grateful that I’m apart of this great DDD family. Thank you.
Thanks for such a heartfelt comment. I don't take any of it for granted. Thanks for sharing your point of view in regards to these videos. Much appreciated.
I cannot NOT say this. You will never know how it could have been unless you try to bridge the gap. If you are happy with not knowing because you are afraid that it won’t be a good result, I would tell you to take the risk…for your dad, and for yourself. Let him know what you want to do and create legitimate expectations surrounding a short visit. Then do it. Don’t overthink it and remember to take baby steps if it has been awhile since you two have been together. You can always have a next time “carrot” hanging out there. Best wishes
@@genesispuredeaf2390 thank you for that, I think I needed to hear it. I really appreciate your kind words. ❤️
@@659009stan best wishes. One thing is for certain, he cannot accept an offer for reconciliation (of whatever amount/type) which doesn’t present itself. I have seen all possibilities:
* serendipity brings people together and they both feel stupid/sad for not taking steps to make it happen sooner.
* one approaches the other and they both have something they otherwise wouldn’t.
* one approaches the other and the extended offer is rejected and the one offering knows that they did what they could.
* neither approaches each other and topics remain unaddressed/unanswered until one day when it is no longer a possibility.
All possibilities include some pain and yet, there are big differences.
What a great find! You never see that kind of stuff for sale down south here
Great video, Jack! She cleaned up really nice.

Your's dad reaction is priceless, this video made my day. Hope in the winter we will see a video with your dad and his new toy removing snow 😁. Wish you all the best and a happy trip! P.S. I'm thinking about tractor decals, maybe some personalized decals will make the tractor unique.

For sure. Thank you.
I didn't know you could still buy a new 445. 😃 Look out Neil you can be replaced. I hope your trip is going well.
Love those 4 series....my first deere was a 425 that i found a loader for. Also had the hard cab and snowblower. Was a great little tractor! Upgraded and treated myself to a new 1025r with all the trimmings in 2019.
Thanks Dad. I enjoy the videos with the family and it shows why the family as a whole is a tight knit working family. Coming from your father. Thank you Neil and thank you Trent. Great job.
18k views in 10hrs. You got a new host for your channel. Go Dad. Luv it. 😂
Nice work Jack & Neil!! Take care you two
Neil, I think your dad will enjoy using that John Deere 445 garden tractor. I think it will last for years to come. Great video!
I hope so!
Gotta love family time, nothing better and that’s why we all love the channel. Thank you very much. ❤
🎶🎵🎤”DAD, drive, DIY’… time for your backing singers to record a special new intro’. Terrific video! Go Mr. Jack.
Great find! I just bought a used Kubota BX2200. I did look a two JD 650 and 755 but they unfortunately had some red flags saw when I looked at them. Plus the Kubota only had 800 hours on it and very few tiny leaks. It's fun buying old equipment and fixing them up to fit your needs.
Beauty! Nice job Jack. Great looking tractor. Dave
Love it! I have a 425 and I just built a Little Buck Loader for it.
LOVED IT!!!!! Glad to see you get a new-to-you tractor
I think he'll love it Tony!
Another great video! I’ve always loved the 4-5 series we have two 445s! Great machines
Awesome job congratulations on the new tractor
Awesome video great seeing Dad do a project 👍
This might be the most wholesome thing I've ever seen in my life. You have a new subscriber!
Thanks so much!
Brilliant, Go DDDD (Dig Drive D.I.Y. Dad). Looking forward to more ❤
Yes Sir, big thumbs up 👍 for the chief, enjoy it.
Great job looking great nice job love your videos thank you
Nervous day today, thank you for the smiles. This was great.
Great video and you can tell he loves that tractor
I saw that tractor during the fair and sent it to my sister Kara! She didn't want to get it. Glad you got it! I think the sign said he wanted $3600
The man looks happy !!God bless
Those 4x5 models are sweet machines. The loader is the icing on the cake 🤙
Got lucky and found a 425 for $500, cleaned it up and got it running and mowing and sold it for $2700 lol.
Nice 👍
W.o.W. your new green machine is looking pretty snazzy! Oh, and very cool new flower box! Hi from Ct.
From all of the ones like myself who wasn't lucky enough to grow up in a fanily like this one. Brings smile to my face. This is what it means to be a family. Makes me happy some ppl still get to experience it.
Hi from Australia, Great video as always Neil.
Hello from Neil's Mom. We can't get over how far and wide Neil's videos are seen. Mind boggling!
Thanks!
Oh my goodness! Smiled from ear to ear at the end!! Great JOB!
Great job Mr. Koch. Enjoyed the story.
As a Neil with a 445, that tractor is bulletproof, hell never have isse, though do get the ebay reverse pedal, it'll literally go as fast in every as forward, and if possible the 60" deck is the original"acre taker", I couldn't see if it had the rear pto or the add on 3 point, but if it has the rear PTO those are very hard to find and a wonderful thing to have. You're dad will love it in the winter it's unstoppable
He got a deck with it, factory 3 pt but no tear PTO unfortunately.
Never judge about by it's cover, look first then comment. So good luck you guys.
It was great to see your Dad enjoying your passion, treasure those moments.
Looks like a great little tractor, you have me inspired to rebuild my old 316.
I enjoy your channel you remind me that a hell of a lot can be accomplished if you just set your mind too it.
This was great. Happy new Deere Mr. Koch!
That was great love it small touches makes a huge difference
Great video love your Pops he loves that tractor
