One of the greatest racing events of all time! It always blew my mind to see road racers hop on what is essentially a modified MX bike and go so fast against guys like Wardy🤯. Just so cool.
This was real entertainment ! If one of the networks put this race on it would be a winner ! Or if you like excitement you can watch bowling, tennis, poker, soccer, or ?
Jeff Ward was born/brought up in Glasgow, Scotland, the average wage back then was £8000/yr(Pound has the buying power of the US Dollar),to earn over $1m by your early 20's back then racing moto x bikes, was akin to being a rock star...JW and AC/DC, 2 great Glasgow exports!
You aren't "brought up" in a country you left at age 4. See the comment by @radsdad1, including the last four words. Amazing that after retiring from pro motocross, Ward won the 1997 Indy 500 Rookie of the Year award, nearly winning the race itself. Plus a bunch of other impressive stuff, including AMA Supermoto Championships in 2004 and 2006 at age 43 and 45, respectively. He definitely didn't suck... ruclips.net/video/xUuCVDZMVeU/видео.html

Shows how road racers are the next level. They grew up riding mx doing dirt track. It’s not like they just jumped on a bike and started road racing.
This is some good damn open racing

Australia 🤔
Born in Scotland and his family moved to SoCal when he was 4 years old.
Most versatile racer ever.
@@radsdad1 I think his father was a Scotland trials champion 🤔
