People often speak about the lack of storage space, but no one has ever spoken about how much space you have under the middle row of seats. There is a huge space. In South Africa we only get the normal 7-seater version and not the second row captain’s seats(must say they look great). Under my middle row of seats I can fit a 4-meter Jumper Cable, tow ropes and tie down straps, small fire extinguisher, foldable spade, small First Aid kit, a 1/4” drive socket set, air compressor, black bags for rubbish, toilet paper and a bag that contains a hammer, pliers, screwdrivers, wire, cable ties, larger socket wrench and basic socket sizes, saw, spanners, fire lighters and a lighter. They all fit under the seat. What is also great is that you can fit longer pipes, fishing rods or planks in the boot as they can pass through that space between the floor board and seat. It is very handy.
That sounds like a really useful space! Coming from a Ute you get less space but I still think it works well. I’m sure we’ll get a 7 seat version in Australia soon :)
I had a First gen FL 2.6 Crde SLX in 2008, Bench seats had storage underneath to stow away all the junky looking stuff. It was the most powerful car I had driven at that time but It had issues in build quality, bouncy rear ride and electronic malfunctions on a regular basis.

Hey Daniel, we are very happy owners of a Scorpio Z 2023 bought in April this year. One thing we are still stumped with is there doesn’t appear to be any indication on the screen or any where in display panels of what the cooling/heating settings are. We just have to hit buttons and turn knobs and try to work out where airflow is coming from etc - hope this makes sense? Even our dealer got the guys in workshop to check out and nothing either? Ah yes, Z8L has a cooling settings page on the screen but Z8 doesn’t. Give your dealer a call but as I think there is a firmware update out that adds that page to the Z8’s
That's a great review. I have the same model in 7 seat configuration and I have almost all the same observations as you. Any issues that this car has have to do with software or electronics. Mechanically it is as good as any out there. In India we get the Adrenox connectivity as well which is very helpful. The pickup concept it showcased in South Africa last year looked promising as well especially for a market like Australia.

The software update for the hill hold has been fixed with the latest software update and any issues related to the infotainment system. However, I haven't heard about any updates regarding turning off the start stop system yet. Another flaw I would like to point out, with the stop start system disengaged, if you're at a stop light and use the button to turn off the car, the bloody door unlocks.
Hello from India Quick set of questions How can fix a bull bar, a functional snorkel and upgrade the already fabulous suspension ? Which company bull bar have you installed and can it shipped to India ?
Up high in the Himalayas its end of apple season. There is only one trusted brand vehicle the farmers use to transport them. Well its not a scorpio N but its a Mahindra.
You should definitely try Mahindra Thar Roxx you'll love it. Unfortunately it is banned in Australia as Jeep has filed a petition against Mahindra for copying the design of Rubicon.
How they sort two things 1. We need a flat bay. My 2009 xtrail has a complete flat bay and is very handy to move things or even take ur mountain bike. 2. Need to sort active safety systems to please the crowd. Though to be honest I turn them all off in my mates dmax
Fiat is hindering mahindra to launch thar outside India bcz of using the same design (licensed). Otherwise that ROXX gives 90% of Wrangler capability in just 25% of its price. Plus it's developed for & rigorously tested in worst terrains, roads of India. @@DanielSnare
Bro everything you said in this video is correct. but There are also some drawbacks The vehicle I use has an automatic transmission.(Z8L 2WD AT 2022 ) First problem I see .When upshifting occurs lagging is seen.(கியர் மாற்றுவதில் தாமதம் ஏற்படுகிறது) I see the second problem. The biggest drawback is the lack of a 360-degree camera, and there are major issues with fitting it.Couldn't match the originality...
I purchased one as well and absolutely love it. However, I do have one concern. The car lacks selectable drive modes like Comfort or Sport, and there's no button under the accelerator to manually drop a gear for overtaking. This can make overtaking stressful at times, as the car isn’t the fastest out there. Sometimes it will drop a gear automatically, but other times it won't, which adds to the unpredictability. I have the 4x4 version, and I find it odd that while the 2x4 version includes Zip/Zap/Zop drive modes, the Z8L does not. This I tend to find very strange and annoying but besides that the car is AWESOME. If the hybrid version comes out with a little more juice I promise I will be one of the first in line to buy it.
@DanielSnare ok fair enough! I will give that a try! Best regards and thanks for the videos. I also have the green one. I am going to do a full Chrome delete using plastidip. Should come out looking amazing!
Madhindra is well known and reliable Indian Brand. The only cocern I see here in Australia is the ANCAP rating. That worries me and also hits the saftey factor and resale value of the car.
Can’t talk to resale but I’ve done a heap of research on the ANCAP report, for occupant safety it did extremely well, it just didn’t have the new safety software for keeping you in a lane etc. (which is what they base the number off now). That tech wasn’t in my previous vehicle so I still drive like I’m suppose to do all the work, and the people I know who have that new tech say it never works and they turn it off immediately. So not really a thing in my mind, just ANCAP making an example of a vehicle that doesn’t have cutting edge technology

Another flaw I would like to point out, with the stop start system disengaged, if you're at a stop light and use the button to turn off the car, the bloody door unlocks.
Yes I think I mentioned it’s already out. Door unlocking doesn’t bother me as as soon as you start moving it locks again
God That looks Gorgeous!!!!
Thanks mate, will have the long term accessory review coming out next week. Make sure you’re subscribed 😊
Amazing vehicle ❤
Hello from India
Quick set of questions
How can fix a bull bar, a functional snorkel and upgrade the already fabulous suspension ?
Which company bull bar have you installed and can it shipped to India ?
Ryebuck Engineering in Australia produced them all :)
Up high in the Himalayas its end of apple season. There is only one trusted brand vehicle the farmers use to transport them. Well its not a scorpio N but its a Mahindra.
Would be cool to see one time your part of the world!
You should definitely try Mahindra Thar Roxx you'll love it. Unfortunately it is banned in Australia as Jeep has filed a petition against Mahindra for copying the design of Rubicon.
Hello Daniel, how often do you service the wheel bearings? And are they stock?
I don’t think they’ve been done yet, the last service was a major however. What advice do you have?
Mahindra and TATA are the pride of India 🇮🇳.
Love Mahindra
How they sort two things
1. We need a flat bay. My 2009 xtrail has a complete flat bay and is very handy to move things or even take ur mountain bike.
2. Need to sort active safety systems to please the crowd. Though to be honest I turn them all off in my mates dmax
Hi Daniel, nice detailed review. Are you facing a battery issue?
No I havnt what’s you’re issue?
@@DanielSnare it got drained multiple times, without any reason..
New subscriber. Love from India 🇮🇳
Thank you mate, appreciate you!
Yes I was living in Newyork and my neighbour has 2 Mahindra cars ❤
I hope they launch a new model in 25 with 7 seats and upgraded safety features.
Yes I hear that is in the works, fingers crossed soon
Thar roxx has launched
Yes, fingers crossed we get it here in Australia
Fiat is hindering mahindra to launch thar outside India bcz of using the same design (licensed).
Otherwise that ROXX gives 90% of Wrangler capability in just 25% of its price. Plus it's developed for & rigorously tested in worst terrains, roads of India. @@DanielSnare
What tyres are those?... does they rub with under body while taking hard turn?
Even i got the toughdog. Its time to upgrade the tyre.
No rubbing from stock. 265/60/R18 Maxxis All-Terrains
Hey mate, yeah I’ve driven a XUV700 a bit and agree the 360 camera would be an awesome feature. That and the speed sign recognition/display
I use the manual gear selection (Tiptronic) to change down a gear when needed.
@DanielSnare ok fair enough! I will give that a try!
Best regards and thanks for the videos.
I also have the green one. I am going to do a full Chrome delete using plastidip. Should come out looking amazing!
The dog❤😊😅
Hehe cool little fella
Scorpio - The preferred car for villains in the Bollywood movies lol
Haha is it?
