Not sure about pas but I know throttle stops helping at 45mph if you lift the rear tire off the ground and max it. I think your first step to achieve your 60mph goal would be an actual unrestricted controller/display upgrade. Even then I don’t think it’s possible no matter how long the hill without more power. I love the straight faced enthusiasm though bro, you’re a dam hoot! Keep your head on a swivel man, those areas look pretty mean…

I think the new 60v dual battery Wired Cruisers go over 40 on a flat road according to all the videos on YT. So 50 on the 2 bat 3000 w peak motor downhill should be a cake walk and be much better trying to out race the drugged up homeless people out there in Gun Point sunny Ca. Speaking along those lines, I wonder how long it will be before Newsom gives all the homeless people their own eBikes. Then you WILL have a challenge when your life depends on going 50 mph on your Wired.

It's not the homeless I have to worry about on the trail where I live, It's the thugs with the dogs, they lime to pretend to set the dog on to you, won't be long before they lose their grip and the dog breaks free, I'm now unrestricted...my Kommoda goes 25Mph 🤣
OH yea, gotta watch out for dogs! I actually had one chase me pretty far once but it turned out to be friendly. Could have ended much worse
@@shootthechitbut you lot on your side of the pond are lucky, class 3 bikes 28 Mph... we are limited to 15.5 Mph and most big dogs run faster than that.
I unlocked my 1300$ budget Ebike ,the throttle-only will get my 210 lb self to over 30 mph on flat surface, takes atleast 1/4 mile though to get up to that speed and throttle lags a lot, and with moderate pedaling in 8th gear gets to 32-33 mph. Not bad for 1300$ shipped though but I’m probably going to get wired freedom soon 😀

TBH not sure how tiny razor type scooters reach 60mph+ according to youtubers, but they reach it... But somehow ebikes with bigger motors and batteries can't? But 60mph on a damn razor scooter is gambling with death way more so than ebikes lol. One tiny crack in the road and bam it's hospital time. At least ebikes have big enough wheels and tires to go over most cracks and bumps.
I agree, even 18mph on a scooter is sketchy. Don't know why 60mph scooters exist

Funny you mention that, didn't even notice it wasn't on 5 for the last run. I think the assistance actually cuts off around 44mph so it's gravity and effort after that point

Yeah agreed. Been here since the late 80’s. Curious as to how much battery was used on this trip with all the hills. Some pretty steep. Thinking about the new wired freedom for commuting.
I couldn't tell you specifically how much battery was used on the hills, but when I got home I had 0 bars left, so it was under 25% but on the high speed attempts I used up a lot of power. The ride was 23.91 miles with 1127 feet of elevation. @@ithinkimnotsureifportal2iw764

Another great video 👍I was reading some posts on a f.b group and ppl have complained about water damage, causing issue to the drive train or motors, are you experiencing any such issues with e bikes, , I'm concerned since what would the point of owning a e bike if you drove thru a puddle of water or drove briefly thru a stream to cross it or even just getting caught in a sudden rain storm are we f.cked??
I haven't had issues, but I also don't ride in the rain.
@@shootthechit yeah but what if you got caught out in a sudden rain storm ? I mean the bike must be able to deal with a some water, ppl clean their bikes with water 💧
I personally wouldn't worry about it, what can you do really? I've put a ton of miles on ebikes and haven't had any issues
