Honestly this dude should do all the playing demonstrations. He’s got groove for days and really knows how to play whatever he’s demoing super musical and dynamic.
Shane & Tony are excellent drummers too. Tom's got a lot of "dynamics". For my money all do good demo's, I'm sure Adam will catch up now that he's got a SQ2 to practice on ! 😂🤣😂
Paul Francis and another colleague who tagged along with him Sarah Hagan teamed up to create the brand. When you have two people from the largest cymbal makers in the world, Zildjian…hard to fathom what would have emerged!
I have to stop watching cymbal videos, i'm going to end up with a drum shop amount of sabians, meinls, wuhan chinas. BTW no dis intended, love all DCP product demonstrations, love this channel and the shop
Oh, I’m sorry but I do not like these cymbals. Almost every cymbal has such a humming sound and this is something I don’t want at all, during the head to head comparison you hear this clear, especially the Small Bell and V1 have it, and a bit shocking to me even the Dry Series has it. Sorry, nothing for me.
Really, really nice cymbals (yeah, like I need more), the Joyful Noise snare sounded killer, and great playing Tom. Thanks DCP, always look forward to your videos.
Outstanding playing, Tom! Have you ever considered adding free-use backing tracks to portions of these videos so the cymbals may be heard in context (bass, piano)?
@@adamfrost3722 Thanks, Adam. You guys are the experts on the distribution of feedback types, so you surely know what to expect in response to each editing decision. Anyway, the Head-2-Head sections are always helpful!
Whats with all the big crashes thes days, and he's riding them in the demos, wheres 's a 15/16/17 crash just crashed rock/funk/pop. This was all very jazz.
The last time DCP did one of these, Paul's entire collection sold-out in like what 3 days ? I got the email about them and they were gone ! Glad I'm not a Jazz player nor am I living in NH 😛would be easy to walk in & spend $10k at that store 😂🤣😂. And Y'all just put out a new Ludwig snare, aye aye aye Gotta get me one 😁
Amazing cymbals. I would really love to see you guys carry more independent cymbal smiths because you guys do such great gear demos. Also, can’t believe I haven’t thought of this earlier but you guys should play the drum into and outro in each demo video to further compare the cymbals and drums in the video since we viewers hear that pattern so frequently. Could serve as a good consistent comparison across videos!
There's so many Cymbal companies out there these days with incredible sounding Cymbals. To me its all about the person behind the cymbals, the personal relationship and why would I put your Cymbals behind my drums after all the years of playing.
Zildjian may do a drive by Paul's House?
All sounded fabulous, but the dry serues really caught my ears.
Nice

Absolutely correct. I'm so glad he's back working at the shop. He's their best player by a million miles.
Tom definitely has the chops! Especially when it comes to playing like this, dynamic and musical.
Amen to that!
For me his the best
Shane & Tony are excellent drummers too. Tom's got a lot of "dynamics". For my money all do good demo's, I'm sure Adam will catch up now that he's got a SQ2 to practice on ! 😂🤣😂
That 22 inch Stellar ride stole the show, crisp, clean, and warm sound!
my gosh. not a bad one in the bunch. They were all glorious!
Some of the most musical cymbals I have heard in a long time. Every one of them sounded great.
Totally agree, Dan!
Amen
It's great to see Tom back in the fold. Excellent playing.

Damn those do sound good, thanks for showcasing them
The Master
that EAK set sounds identical to the EAKS Tony Williams used!
Paul is doing some amazing cymbals. I've yet to hear one of his cymbals I didn't like!
Agreed!
Where does Paul source the blanks?
Zildjian?
Some foundry
Would love to hear some splashes and/or china’s from this cymbal maker
there's videos of a few swishes floating around
These are amazing☀️ Some of the best sounding cymbals I’ve heard
SWEET pies!
Forget the cymbals, the kick sound, uffff, deep ! Nice sounding cymbals...🥁
Is that zildjian paul francis ?
Yes!
They sound great and so do the drums.
I really liked the 21" crash
ide dry series

These cymbals are amazing!
They all sound beautiful!
I like the dark sounds

Fair enough!
@@drumcenternh I'm still going to keep watching them, it's an addiction lol
Are all the gram weights accurate? Especially on the Bill Stewart 20 and 22, I think you might have a type-o on the 20.
We actually used 2 - 22 Stewart rides, a v1 and a v2. So there is a typo. Will fix in a bit!
Delicious instruments! Demo guy has some beautiful touch!!

I was hoping for a video on these. Really pretty cymbals. Dry and Stellar for me!
I liked Eak Style a lot!
Really, really nice cymbals (yeah, like I need more), the Joyful Noise snare sounded killer, and great playing Tom. Thanks DCP, always look forward to your videos.
Those are amazing sounding cymbals, and the guy playing has very serious chops, wow.
Nice
I can’t believe it he is zildjian
Made me giggle, these all sound eerily close to Zildjian. 😂
Except these sound good.
They sound better! Love my Zildjian As and Ks but I'll be switching to these wonderful cymbals, you can hear the effort and passion put into these
These sound incredible. All of them great, just different flavours of great.
Damn, each one was excellent. I know what the next addition to my kit is going to be. Well done.
Those EAK series are 👏
Really great, we were all very impressed!
Nice paying! Very nice cymbals. Can't go wring with a Recording Custom! Altought I'm biased because i have the exact same kit...
They're my dream cymbals for sure.
Outstanding playing, Tom! Have you ever considered adding free-use backing tracks to portions of these videos so the cymbals may be heard in context (bass, piano)?
We get a lot of “constructive” feedback when we don’t exclusively focus on the drums, cymbals, etc. in our videos.

@@adamfrost3722 The backing tracks would allow those who want to see how they sound with trios, pop etc..
@@keithbarnes9419 You're not wrong.
The 2 EAK crashes were good.
The rest did not excite at all. Unimpressed.
Great stick definition!!!!!

Really looking forward to seeing these cymbals for sale in Europe.
Aw yeah boys, showcase those cymbals
Great demo Tom!
Those Craftsman are sweet. Especially that first Stewart 22" ride. Real old school vibe!

Very true... but nice instruments help inspire your playing!
Those sound amazing. Holy cow. Those hats are money. Not a bad apple anywhere. Kudos to the craftspeople.

Not too impressed with the cymbals but those drums sound particularly good!
Came for the cymbals, stayed for the snare. That drum is beyond beyond. Oh, yeah, the cymbals are nice, too.
sticks used?
Vic Firth AS5A
Nice gray beanie.
Was this video from the archives or does Shane have the A/C cranked? Dude looks cold. 🥶
It’s April in New England. Ain’t that warm up here yet…
That’s New Hampshire brah
Oh. Yippee. Just what we need. Another expensive cymbal line. 😢
