Henry made a few great comments right after the Madrid CL win, he was asked if Mbappe would come into the team and expect it to be his own, and basically shrugged it off as ridiculous and said no he joins having won nothing with this team. And it's perfect coming from him because he joined Barca as well and in a similar situation as Mbappe to real. Mbappe is world class but will have to show he is, just like Ronaldo did. This is very exciting time for Madrid.
But Cristiano came with a ucl and multiple prems and a ballon. That was 2009. Madrids last ucl before he came was 2002. But he at least went to the league champions.

This has to be one of the best pieces of transfer business I’ve ever seen and how do Real Madrid keep getting it right when it comes to their recruitment. Kylian Mbappe one of if not the best players in the world signed on a free transfer when in any year if he was still under contract, he would’ve been signed for probably 300 million. Dang, Papa Perez strikes again and after this long transfer saga that had a lot of uncertainty, today is finally the day, Mbappe is a Real Madrid player once and for all. Kylian Mbappe Vinicius Junior Jude Bellingham Rodrygo Endrick etc on the same team combined with other talented players as well this is modern day Galacticos and Real Madrid are creating their next great team. Majority of these players are heading into their prime and that’s a scary prospect for Europe and football in general. They added him to a team that just had a season where they won La Liga and the champions league without a proper striker. They’re not ruining football, I think that Perez has done a fantastic job in planning for the present and the future when it comes to identifying talent and the right players for the long term who today have proven that they can contribute to winning trophies and football. This team has the potential of achieving great things together and they’ll probably dominate Europe for the years to come with the team that they have assembled together. When the team was in transition they had to make big decisions when it came to their legends as they showed a level of ruthlessness and knew when to move on from players who served the club well simply because they’re past their prime.
That’s why even after the Ronaldo era, they’ve continued winning the champions league and now have Mbappe in that team going into his prime. When it comes to the champions league, I can see them 3peating again and it’s possible that they do that or maybe even win 4-5 champions leagues in a row given how good their squad is and the weaker level of competition in Europe now compared to 10-11 years ago. Having him on that team doesn’t guarantee anything because I understand the excitement surrounding Mbappe’s arrival at Madrid, we have to acknowledge the importance of all of these players clicking in the same team as that plays a role in determining whether a superteam will work more than how much talent is has on paper. Carlo Ancelotti is one of the only managers you can rely on when it comes to working with superstars as he can bring out the best in them without dealing with any issues with the team balance and if they do that, they’re going to be unstoppable. How many champions league titles will they win in the next 10 years.

I can assure you that even with Mbappe, you will still struggle to beat Man City. Man City is a very organized team, and from an overall team perspective operate on a higher level, because Real Madrid rely on certain players more than others, unlike city in which basically the whole team has a certain role and is just as important. And you are Forgetting that Man City could also make big transfers like Florian Wirtz, Xavi Simona and Jamal Musiala added onto their stacked team. But even looking away from this, it will only get harder for Real Madrid next year, because a lot of teams like RB Leipzig, Bayern, Barcelona even teams in Italy will be wanting to beat you and will be more motivated. And, who knows, maybe Barca could cook Under Hansi Flick (A reminder that he won a sextuple with a 100% win rate, while scoring 43 goals with his Bayern team). Bruh Joselu , Brahim , Endrick , and Guler are subs . They are also rotational players and will get playing time in la liga when other players need to rest for the champions league . They will also get playing time if any of the main attackers get injured .
