The difference with Man City and Real Madrid is that one of those clubs have 115 charges, that's all. No one hates Pep, the players, the management, but the people behind that club don't have one or two errors, they have 115. How they are allowed to continue playing is beyond me (though not really, because it's simply because they continue to make FIFA money.) You can't buy class and legacy, nobody knew who Man City were 10 years ago, while Madrid were gearing up to win La Decima.

@@grettfc No bias and jokes aside Real Madrid have been clean the last 20 years since Perez came and I say 20 years because in the same period of time Barcelona are the ones who’ve been accused of paying referees with Negreira and even just last week Pique has been under investigation for making deals with the Spanish Federation and his company. Some decisions have gone Madrid’s way for sure i.e the early whistle against Bayern recently for the offside but the same amount of decisions have gone against Madrid such as the idiotic whistle blow during the Valencia game when Bellingham scored a header at the very end.
All that to say that I doubt Perez has been regularly paying referees in every competition and are really good at hiding it. More like they’ve got nothing to hide and everyone else is naturally jealous of how well run the club is. Everton got docked 10 points for like 1 charge, if Man City get relegated or something then everyone will know their last several trophies were void.

@@grettfc There are multiple situations this season that contradicts your statement. The most obvious one is Bellingham's dissalowed goal against Valencia, and the 3 game ban he got after because he told the ref that is was a "fucking" goal. They were also robbed in the away game against Getafe where they should have gotten 2 penalties. There are other examples aswell. You could also add that Tebas hates Real Madrid and Perez atm. He is in the middle of a lawsuit against Real Madrid tv just because they have made videos that shows all the decisions that doesnt go Madrid's way. It's obviously true that some decisions goes Madrid's way, but it's also true that there are decisions going against them aswell. Real Madrid is the biggest club, and they are winning the biggest trophies, so ofc they are gonna be under a microscope. Barcelona's game against Chelsea in the UCL is one of the shadiest games I've ever witnessed, but at the end of the day, the referee was bad. That's the thing, referees are bad too often, but that doesn't mean that they are corrupt.
Uefa and Fifa also dislikes Perez, hell he is one of the main aggressors when it comes to the super league, a league that would make things incredibly difficult for Uefa. The best teams will have margins at their side, and when something do go their way it seems even more unfair than usual because the lesser good teams cant afford to have bad ref calls against them. Believe me, if you sum up the amount of serious fauls (pentalties etc) that Real Madrid get against and for them, the numbers wont be too different from anyone else. Barcelona recieved 7 pentalties this season in la liga, while Real Madrid recieved 5. But I have a feeling that those numbers dont count for the opposition, cause it doesn't really fit the narrative.

There’s only one major problem with this hypothesis and the problem has a name. Its name is Vinícius Júnior. Viní, not Mbappé is the best player in the world right now.
I’m so glad Mbappé went to Real Madrid because fans of the stats era are going to experience something new to them that we older fans have known. Your generation has been marked by the best player being the one with the most G/A thanks to Messi and Cristiano.
But there was a time when Eto’o scored more goals and probably comparable assists (haven’t looked it up) to Ronaldinho, but it was still clear to every living being, that Ronaldinho is the best player. Your generation has not experienced something like this.
Vinícius will peak higher than Mbappé. He won’t score more because Mbappé is by far the superior finisher and also Vinícius is naturally unselfish. He will create for Mbappé as he created for Benzema.
But you will know Vinícius is the superior player because he has supreme unpredictability. He is the player they will all look to, and give the ball to when they need something to happen. He has better vision, is a far better and more spectacular passer, and he is relentless in how he attacks. He is becoming ‘must see television’ as Ronaldinho was. To miss Vinícius will be to risk missing something you have never seen done before on a football pitch.
What is more, Vinícius has won the hearts of Madridistas. He has an affection with Madridistas that Mbappé will never have. Don’t get me wrong Mbappé has his own fans and even amongst Madridistas he will be revered. But never as adored.
    Just watch.

I think people don’t realize Messi and Ronaldo had each other to battle and that’s really what made the era so special. I don’t think that he’ll surpass Messi and Ronaldo’s legacy, but Kylian Mbappe’s recent move to Real Madrid has him set up for success at both club and international level as he is the face of football. Him and Real Madrid was a match made in heaven he as born to play there and it was written in the stars for him. In basketball terms it was basically like what Kevin Durant did when he joined the Golden State Warriors, but he needs to be part of a champions league winning team in order to get closer to the Ballon Dor. Purely off of individual brilliance, he is the best player of his generation, as a teenager he won the World Cup and at PSG he was their all time top scorer and he’s still 25 years old, but with him in his prime many people watch him play and wonder how he hasn’t won a Ballon Dor yet. A big reason for that is because he has never won the champions league and that plays a massive role when determining the best player in the world. With all due respect to him, for his legacy, nobody cares that he’s won 7 Ligue 1 titles and that’s because they’ve dominated the league for years and now that Mbappe has left PSG, they’ll still win Ligue 1. It would’ve been great if he went into this Madrid move with a champions league title to his name. He’ll be scoring goals at Real Madrid in a way in which he was doing at PSG for 5-6 years, the difference is that there’s more eyes on Mbappe at Madrid than there was at PSG and that’s why the move is good for his image brand and PR, having a player like him on the biggest club in football history proving himself on a big stage with more people watching him.
Now that he is at Real Madrid, he has the best chance of winning 4-5 Ballon Dors. A big reason for that is because in a season we expect Mbappe to score 45-50+ goals and he’s capable of doing that and he’s on a team that’s guaranteed to win the champions league almost every year combined with him playing on a strong national team that is seen as one of the favorites to win every major tournament he’s in. With France I could see him winning the EUROs, maybe another World Cup before he retires and he’ll probably be the top scorer all time at World Cups. I wouldn’t be surprised if he wins the Ballon Dor next season and he could do that. That’s part of why Vinicius Junior or Jude Bellingham have to win the Ballon Dor this year because no matter how well they play, Mbappe will be putting up the numbers and if they win a lot of trophies, he’ll be the main reason for that. With all due respect to Erling Haaland, good luck winning a Ballon Dor and the reason I say that is because Mbappe is at Madrid and from his perspective he would’ve this award last year had Messi not won the World Cup as he scored 50+ goals and won everything and while he continues scoring goals, he’s not impactful enough in big games, he’s arguably not even Manchester City’s best player right now, he’s inconsistent, plays on a national team that haven’t qualified for a major tournament in years and what if Kevin de Bruyne leaves that team in the next 12 months. No matter how many goals he scores, will Haaland ever win a Ballon Dor as long as Mbappe is scoring goals and winning trophies at Madrid combined with what he can achieve with the national team. In all honesty, yes some think that it should be Vini’s team given what he has done in the champions league in the last 3 seasons, Mbappe is here to take over football for the next decade whether you like it or not.
