  • Jordan Poole was supposed to be a star with the Golden State Warriors. Turns out he's just a master con artist.

    Did the Warriors dodge a bullet with trading Jordan Poole?

    Poole wants what Stephen Curry enjoys: big money, the adulation of the crowd, highlight plays, fame, lucrative endorsements. But Steph has often said that one of the keys to his success is that he never takes his talent or gifts for granted. Poole is taking everything for granted including his stay with the Wizards, his health, his shooting ability, his stamina, his quickness. So I'm just watching. He keeps this up he'll be out of the league maybe before 26.

    I love how you emphasized the JGP aspect, because it DOES seem like he's satisfied playing whatever way he wants because of his massive contract.

    JP may think $128M is a lot of money but he'll lose maybe over 50% in state & federal taxes plus his agent's cut of maybe around $5M leaving a net of around $60M-$62M of which only the 1st of 4 years is paid. If he doesn't know how to spend & invest wisely...it's statistical that roughly over 60% of NBA players experience financial difficulty after leaving the NBA. Also, If WA decides to trade him, another big adjustment. Also, If he gets bought off he'll clear a lot less than $128M...Bob Myers "said" you know if a player knows his basketball & is mentally tough during the playoffs. But another thing that brings out the true character of a person is if they get a LOT of money in one blow.

    Now wait a minute, that's not a fair assessment to throw Gilbert Arenas on this list, because he got injured after he got his contract, just as Larry Johnson did. Jordan Poole didn't even work on his game in the offseason. I've played basketball so I know what to look for, he didn't improve on his game to get better and players around the league adjusted. Yes the contract changed him, but he also didn't improve his game.

    I think you are missing a big point though. It's not just that players relax after getting paid, it's that EVERYONE goes harder at them once they get the lit money. They become the ones with a target on their back and get their opponents beat shot. It's not just them saying "oh whatever"

    Y'all thought Jordan Poole was a better fit than CP3 when Chris Paul literally plays the warriors style of basketball Jordan Poole played the Poole party brand of basketball

      As a fan who watched a lot of games, poole was the chance for the dubs dynasty to outlast steph. In 2022 it really seemed possible. Then they had to give him the money and he proved he was just too immature to be a real man. He went from my 2nd favorite player in the NBA to my last favorite. I'd rather watch the dillon brooks' Houston lil rocket men than the wiz. Sad way for lil bro to go out. But he couldn't be humble and had to be "the man"
      Kinda like Ron desanctamonious. He could have waited till the real leaders time was up ,but had to be the man right now. Never works out.
      Moral of the story... steph curry is secretly DJT in a light skinned not orange face mask. 😂 and they are both championship material and we all love them unanimously. Unless your a brainwashed mentally ill patient 😌. Than we don't accept you anyway.

    You've hit the nail on the head bro. Mr Poole is the worst player on the worst team in the NBA right now. But I believe with a change in attitude and some more work ethic, Mr Poole can still become an efficient scorer.

    Jordan does not seem to be willing to put the work in. Also he is not a good a teammate and not as good a man.

    Under Steph, JP's growth was phenomenal. After the punch, he isn't the same. If he makes it past his psychological block, he'll still get there. Regardless, the Warriors are toast. Draymond is a toxic POS and he's getting old. CP3 is too old too. Klay is falling apart. The Warriors are done winning rings, and this decline started with Draymond's punch and the pathetic spineless response to it by the Warriors.

    What is funny now is Sports commentators and podcasters like Brian Windhorst, Marc Spears, Gilbert Arenas, Austin Rivers and Brandon Jennings all have come out and stated they think the Warriors trading Jordan Poole has hurt them. He was the 3rd leading scorer on the Warriors for the past 2 seasons and now they sit in the 11th spot in the Western Conf standings because of a lack of scoring.
    You can't just trade someone who was averaging 20ppg and not look for a replacement.
    Even as bad as Poole is playing in Washington he's still averaging more ppg then Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins! Lol!

    • @JimScott905
      @JimScott905 7 месяцев назад +3

      Ya, but if you subtract all the bone head moves he makes that probably brings that 20 down to like 3pts. I was one of the last ones to want him gone, but it was the right thing to do.
