I've owned snappers and a Dixon zero turn. Now I have Ariens 52 inch with the Kawasaki 23 hp engine has a 135 hours . Not a single complaint. Best mower I have ever owned. It will last longer than I will .
I hate how you have to change the oil, other than that it’s the best mower I’ve had so far.
@@Farmstock24vmate.... you have to change the oil with any motor
Show us how to adjust bars on new style ikon please
Less beer also helps!!
🤦♂️ 😅
Yep 😂
Like it or not, they aren't wrong
Please do one of these for the 2023 iKon 42. My dealer cannot get it right. It mows crooked forward and reverse. The bar even look even visually. The bars hit the drink holder area and control panel area when going in reverse before hitting the stops.
Same here.
I can adjust handle bar from transmission but then it's in gear must be two adjustments but I don't get it
What that tools you using in the video
When I put the right steering handle in the same bolt holes as the left one it still sits lower than the left handle. Any suggestions?
Question Ariens... i keep seeing your ads pop up that say "There's an Ariens with your name on it." I wish this were the case, with the new lineup, you deleted the XL series, WHY WHY WHY? now you don't make a zero turn with the ZT-2800 transmission. this seems to be a bad move on your part, this forces me to scratch you off the list and look at other brands. If you put a 2800 instead of the EZT 2200 in your new Ikon XD those would sell like HOT CAKES. Am i missing something? I need a new mower like yesterday, first 2800 transmission i see in the $3xxx's will be in my garage with a bunch of youtube videos. I bought a cub 5 years ago and got about 300k views alone.
They are definitely selling like hotcakes in my town at Lowe's LOL they could put ten out there Monday and by Friday they're all gone and then they start all over again I seen this happen about four times this season
I will probably eventually upgrade the ezt hydros in my Ariens Ikon Xd42 if these go out. I really enjoy my mower and I think it would be possible to upgrade the hydros. Anyone know? I know they're not cheap but I think I would do the work myself I have worked on small engine equipment for 20 years.
@@cashen7384 no clue, I was able to get a new scag on sale. I almost bought a husq with 3100s for cheap but it got bad reviews. The imperfections of the scag, such as no removable cover I can live with. I remove the whole deck for service anyways.
Is there a way to grease the front arm bushings? I see no grease fitting.
Thanks for asking! Are you referring to the front caster wheel hubs, or the steering control arms or something else? If you're asking about the front caster fork hubs, the answer is no - they're a sealed / maintenance-free design.
@@AriensChannel that answered my question. Thanks. Is there any videos showing grease fittings that u know of?
Brand new Ikon and only the right lever will engage the transmission. The left side does not engage at all. I did check the speed bolts
Hi there, we're sorry that you're not having a good experience with your product. We suggest taking your unit to your nearest Ariens dealer for diagnosis. @@AriensChannel No offense, but this was an easy issue to solve. Turns out the left side transmission was disengaged. Taking the unit to a service shop is a rather silly suggestion but, thanks anyways.
1:23 - Did y'all ever find that nut?
If not, it's probably hanging out with all your lost 10mm sockets.
I got lucky and before driving checked and they where hanging on by a thread!
I am having an issue with my machine since new.
I purchased the ikon xd 52 about 10 months ago and I'm happy with it for the most part. In forward it runs straight but in reverse one wheel is very slow and the other is too fast causing one wheel to slip on the grass when turning and I find it very undesirable and doesn't seem normal compared with other machines I have used. Is there a way to adjust that (only when reverse), is there air in the system or is it a hydro problem?
Hi there, we're sorry that you're not having a good experience with your product. We can't say for certain what the issue might be, which is why we suggest taking your unit to your nearest Ariens dealer for diagnosis. Our independently owned and operated dealers are an extension of our team and will be able to diagnose and resolve the issue. They'll also be able to administer a warranty claim if your unit is still within the 3-year warranty period and they determine the issue is the result of a manufacturing defect.

Mine does the same one wheel turns faster in reverse. I havnt look but I'm hoping there is and adjustment arm on each transmission.. besides I like the idea of adjusting it in the transmission more than the levers personally. I'll have to look at it but mine when in reverse it turns sharp to one side if both levers are pulled all the way back
@@adamcroxton did you ever find anything because mine is doing it to leaving ruts in yards
Is there any way to adjust the tension of the steering levers? They seem to move too easy while resting my hands on the levers mowing and if hitting any bumps . Thanks
Thanks for asking, John. There are no steering lever tension adjustments, but double-check your hardware to ensure it's tight.
Still have one side that is way under power going up a incline is difficult
We're sorry to hear about this John. We recommend contacting your nearest Ariens servicing dealer. Our dealers are an extension of our team and will be able to diagnose and resolve the issue. You can find an Ariens servicing dealer in your area at the link here: www.ariens.com/en-us/dealer-locator
Did you ever get your issue looked at by a tech? My left side hydro is noisier than the right when moving forward and backwards. I sure hope its not low on fluid or faulty. I only have 25 hours on it and only 1 year old.
@@cashen7384 I took it to a shop and was told that it was not adjusted properly when assembled. $200 later.. and no adjustments where part of assembly by Lowe’s not covered by warranty
@@Jclark240 it wasn't covered?! I should definitely not have purchased it from Lowes, huge mistake. I sure hope mine doesnt have anything major that's making that wining noise from the hydro. You would think these mowers, being over $3k that they would last for years. I hope the hydros do...
@@Jclark240 also, what was not adjusted properly if you dont mind me asking?
Are they any other grease fitting other than the two front wheels?
Thanks for asking, Michael. There are no other grease fittings on the machine, but we do suggest applying a thin layer of grease between the seat and the seat plate (so it can adjust forward and back freely) occasionally.
9 and 11 psi? But the tire says 22 I believe?
My new ariens does pretty good in forward but turns to one side really bad in reverse with both levers are pulled back. How do u adjust that?
Thanks for asking. Unfortunately, there is no adjustment for operating in reverse.
I am having the same problem. Forward is right on, in reverse the right side is noticeably slower.
My left side hydro is noisier than the right when moving forward and backwards. I sure hope its not low on fluid or faulty. I only have 25 hours on it and only 1 year old. Anyone know what I should do or check? I have a 2020 Ikon XD42 bought from Lowes since I could finance it.
Thanks for asking. Your Ikon XD 42 features sealed, maintenance-free transaxles, so you likely don't need to be concerned with the fluid level changing. However, if you suspect something is off, please contact your nearest Ariens servicing dealer for insight. Our dealers are an extension of our team and will be able to advise, diagnose issues and resolve them if one exists. Additionally, they can process warranty claims if they find any issues that are a result of a manufacturing defect.

Here's a possibly stupid question. Why don't they install the engine facing the other way so that the oil drain is at the back where you could install a permanent drain tube instead of having to keep up with that silly clear plastic hose? Here's another stupid question. Why is it that most Ariens owners on youtube can't pronounce "Ariens"? They all say "Aryans", like they've never heard the name before. I'm considering getting one of these soon. I have an ancient Ariens Sno-Thro made in 1965 that still fires right up by the 1st or 2nd pull.
Wow - nothing in the book about this. Nut fell off after first use and then I had to figure out what was going on....
When i got mine it never had the bolt or nut holding the right hydro in place and cracked leaking hydraulic oil everywhere.glad i got my money back.would never buy another ariens.
