The cheapest I've seen old Pokemon games being sold for was at a flea market where someone sold them like 30-35 euro per game, if I remember correctly. They were without the original packaging but still in a relatively good condition. ... Also, is Game Freak even aware that they'd probably make so much money if they made a Switch port for example for the old Pokemon games? I'd really like to replay Pokemon White someday...

That Purple Balloon one sounds like it could be kinda wholesome. Like the jester giving someone the balloon could be a sign that they’ll live and the doctor at the hospital could be the guy’s civilian identity.
Accepting the balloon is forfeiting your soul, Candy Pop is a demon of some sort or another, I believe I heard he was an incubus somewhere, which checks out, since the origin of those is - Well sleep paralysis demons/dream demons who sat on the dreamer's chest and made them feel as though they were suffocating, despite the later connotations they took on.

OK, I HAVE to comment this immediately - LIARS is actually not a photoshopped image and stuff it is... drum roll: the cover of a song by the band Avant Garde-Punk band LIARS! (one of my favourites) The song is called "We Fenced Other Gardens With The Bones Of Our Own" and an absolute, hypnotic banger. The image itself is just taken from their video for the song and not photoshopped at all, but just a blurry movement-image. I very much encourage anyone to check it out, because they are awesome and the song is awesome and the album it is from ("They Were Wrong, So We Drowned") is a concept album about witches they recorded in a secluded hut in the woods, telling each other ghost stories all night.
Unironically Mr. Well-Done feels like a type of comedic SCP you'd find. An incomprehensible entity that's too busy being a weird nihilistic frat bro to actually do any world ending.
I’m not sure if you know of this podcast, but it almost reminds me of the character Needles from The Magnus Protocol. Just this terrifying inhuman entity that clearly doesn’t fully know what it’s doing and is trying way too hard to scare people by… talking at them.
21:15 Just a correction: That image actually originated as a fursuit that was created by a Deviantart user named Qarrezel as a commission for someone within the furry community. It's supposed to be a zombie werewolf named Breynz.

I feel like I'm alone in this but to me what made memorable The Theatre was a post explaining the bugs. It was a small story "debunking" the pasta and explaining how the game was actually working and the "creepy" things were just normal coding issues. It felt like those cool essays explaining gaming myths, and somehow made the Creepypasta felt more alive, with people using logic to reason the unexplained events.
The Ash Coma Theory also entrenched the major problem that plagues a good majority of these "[random media property protagonist] is actually dead/in a coma and the narrative is all in their heads" creepypastas, which is that the theory does absolutely nothing to recontextualize or explain narrative elements of the source material. To understand what I'm talking about, let's take a look at one of the most prominent examples of this narrative framing device used in popular media: The film Jacob's Ladder (SPOILERS FOR JACOB'S LADDER). The movie follows a down on his luck Vietnam vet who begins having odd experiences over a decade after coming back from the war that seem to be tied to a traumatic incident that happened to his squad back in the war. Throughout the film he encounters strange, horrific imagery and hallucinations and fluctuations in reality and finds himself in a number of strange and terrifying scenarios that seem to defy conventional explanation. At the end of the film it's revealed that the main character actually died during the traumatic attack during the Vietnam War, and the events of the movie set after his return from the war have actually been a purgatory-like state that he experienced in his final few minutes of life as he came to terms with his own death. This twist works really well in the narrative as it recontextualizes the events of the film, explains the strange occurrences that the main character experienced and causes the audience to view elements of the story differently in hindsight - for instance the main character's chiropractor becomes a sort of protective, angelic figure with the knowledge of the true nature of the story. The Ash's Coma Theory does absolutely none of this. There are no inexplicable events over the course of the Pokemon series that explained or given new context if viewed within the framework of a coma-dream Ash is having. The biggest divergences from reality present in the series (ie the existence of the Pokemon themselves) are established in the story prior to the point where Ash supposedly fell into a coma, and the events of the series beyond the point where it supposedly segues into a coma fantasy are no different in tone or style from what was happening prior. It's ultimately just a lazy fan fiction whose premise is "Hey, remember this point in the show where the main character was in mortal peril? Well what if they ACTUALLY DIED? Wouldn't that be dark and spooky?" And it's the same story with far too many creepypasta that follow the DARK SECRET INTERPRETATION OF YOUR FAVORITE KID'S CARTOON formula: It pulls a darker framework out of its ass that has no relationship to the actual source text but would sure be dark if it were real. Wouldn't it be dark if the babies in Rugrats were actually dead and the whole series was a hallucination Angelica was having? I guess so? But what aspects of the original text suggests that to be the case? What mysteries from Rugrats does this actually explain? By contrast, an example of this sort of theory executed properly is the theory that Ed, Edd and Eddy takes place in purgatory and all the characters are the ghosts of children from different time periods who died while living on the cul-de-sac. This actually works as a theory because it's trying to explain an oddity present in the source material: The fact that the main cast of characters are the ONLY people we ever see on-camera. While family members and other characters are often referred to by the cast, the only people we ever see on-screen are the 12 kids that live on this cul-de-sac. The setting of the show ends up having this eerie, liminal quality of an abandoned world inhabited by only a dozen characters and the ghost fan theory is actually working with an element of the source material in drawing up its narrative in a way that provides an explanation for that eerieness.
The only thing that the Ash coma theory explains in case of Pokemon is the fact that Ash never ages. But even then it's mostly just overanalyzing a series that doesn't care too much about its continuity.
"who was phone" and "man door hand hook car" are everything to me. I haven't sing mr sandman without adding "make him the cutest car hook door hook man"
I remember being 13-14 in 2011 and hiding under my covers reading creepy pastas on my phone at night and getting so scared I wouldn’t be able to sleep. Those were the days.
I definitely heard that story with the hotel keyhole as a kid. While it is a little goofy looking back on it, I was pretty impressed by it back in the day.
White with Red definitely pre-dates 2008. I remember hearing that story at a sleepover in the mid-00s and it terrified me. Worst part was that we were sleeping in the living room, so all I could see in the darkness was the little red light on the VCR.
Oh my god, THE THEATER. I used to have nightmares about this game. There's just something so unsettling about the image of the ticket taker, and that whole early video game aesthetic. Still gives me the creeps
You’ve become something of a creepypasta yourself. I saw somebody in a chat talk about making the mistake of googling “sharpie bath” and seeing “a scary witch lady” The first thing that shows up when you google “sharpe bath” is your video on the incident (with your very fun and in this case child scaring makeup)
Fun fact: the "i hate you" creepypasta was actually written as a joke story, but due to it being actually decently done, specially by the standards of that moment, it became one of the most recognized video-game creepypasta
"Funnymouth" is one of the creepypastas that stuck with me for a long time (idk if my pfp makes it obvious, but mouth-related horror compels me). I didn't know the writer also did "Abandoned by Disney", but between the two I'd say he has some good ideas but could use an editor or trusted friend telling him to reel it in before it gets too goofy. Lookin at you, photonegative Mickey costume. (jumpscared by the ears moving on that hat; I was not expecting that)
Honestly, the sequels to abandoned by Disney make the goofy photonegative Mickey suit a lot more interesting in retrospect. I'd definitely recommend 'A few suggestions' (as well as room zero & Corruptus if you haven't read them already).
I unironically love Funnymouth. It ventures into more surreal territory that really gets me. I generally liked Slimebeast's stuff back in the day. Afterpeople is probably my favorite.

One of my favorite internet scary stories was basically five Nights at Freddy’s , it was this guy who got a job being the security guard for a defunct train station, on the first night he reads a paper with this long list of rules like “if a train pulls into the station do not open the door” and “if someone gets off the train, shoot them” and other creepy stuff like that, I remember a monster breaks into his room because he messed up one of the rules, I remember on the second night he goes outside and hides from a monster under the train that pulled in, I’ve haven’t found it since but I remember it was from one of those “scary Reddit/4chan” videos
haha I saw one like that but for Disney parks. he gets chased around for a bit and eventually dies(?) he becomes a scary Disney character idk if they killed him or infected him with being scary Disney guy

borrasca is genuinely amazing , it’s super long and you start wondering if all these stupid plot points mean anything, but then the reveal at the end will make your jaw drop
Omg. I didn’t know White With Red originated online!! That was a classic horror story that I heard going around in elementary school. My classmates always told it as if it happened to someone they knew. We kind of built up a mythology around it. I’d even spooked some people with it myself. What a great little story
As somebody who was an associate of the guy who wrote Mr. Welldone, I am glad to inform that he was really just like that. As in, he was boring out of character as well. It is actually kind of impressive how he could turn even interesting topics into boring lectures.
I swear I remember reading a serious version of “then who was phone” back in the early creepypasta days prior to seeing the version shown here. I’ve tried googling it before with no luck tho.
I deffo remember a longer version that felt... more earnest? I guess? at the very least. (& tbh drove home the silliness of the nonsensical writing more)
As a kid my best friend was obsessed with Lost Silver. So I made a plushie of Dead Gold for her birthday and sent her a pic saying "omg I found a dead gold plush online!" Ahe later told me she immediately scoured the internet looking for it but found nothing, only for me to surprise her with the handmade plush the next day. Good memories
tbh lost silver was my favorite pokemon creepy pasta, and it still is. but that's not just to do with the creepy pasta itself but the fact that someone made a playable version of the game with input from the creepy pasta's author so while the story only showed what happened if you chose "yes", you could explore what happens if you chose "no" and that part of the game was great atmospherically and even creepier imo
I stumbled across Borrasca via a RUclips channel, ‘Mr CreepyPasta’ I believe, who read the story out. Despite the channel name, I didn’t even realise it was a creepypasta. It was so detailed and a truly amazing story, and I encourage everyone to read it, with the warning that it does include heavily implied depictions of rape. So please keep that in mind if that is a topic that is too sensitive or triggering for you. So happy to hear it be mentioned! I never got into creepypastas all that much so a lot of the stories in these videos are new to me. :D
I actually don't really understand the "Stairs" one. There are two options I guess (feel free to comment more): 1. The killer called the police on the first floor for the murder they committed (?) 2. It implies that an old lady is an entity, a cryptid of some kind, who managed to call the police using just her brain power.
i think its implied that either the killer is still in the house somehow unseen or the lady was faking her illness and killed the carer before calling the police and going back upstairs to act innocent. my money’s on the second one
I honestly thought the horror was meant to be "if no one called she would've been stuck upstairs with no way to get help" but I don't think that's right anymore
Thanks for covering Ash’s Coma! Like you said it’s amazing how much of an influence that story has had on dead/dream/coma theories. Sure, the story absolutely does not hold up to scrutiny nowadays, but I hope the author is proud of the impact their creepypasta had!
Every once in a while I accidentally remember Borassca and have to reread it. It goes a bit wild at the end but the twist is unexpected and there is SO MUCH foreshadowing and a ton of really well used literary devices. So happy to know the author got writing work afterwards. It's a nasty little story that flirts with some of the more extreme kinds of horror but it's well done especially for what it was.
Fun fact the photo of the Liars creepypasta is actually from a music video from an art rock band called Liars who made several videos. The photo of Jimmy is specifically from the music video We Fenced Other Gardens With The Bones Of Own. The Dawn is your Enemy, Adult swim actually find out of the creepypasta and brought back the bumper in May 2020 (a decade after not showing it) but changed it to The Dawn is Your Frenemy, adding the winking sun, the red ballon, and the creepy piano music with text saying they’re trying to stay more positive. And I think played it throughout the month of May. Not only the number works for Boothworld Industry (but not anymore I think), the original writer of the creepypasta occasionally would call people back as a representative of Boothworld Industry asking for remodeling, he did it because he loved to freak people out and the funny reactions. There’s several videos of people getting a call back, also Boothworld is actually an anagram for Bloodworth which is the authors name, Christopher Bloodworth.
Creepy pasta is one of those things i’ll never get tired of. So seeing the recent mlp infection au makes me so happy. Hope i see you do a video covering it, there’s really cool ones
I'd love to hear you discuss "The Portraits" in one of these. It's another campfire story type creepypasta that's really short and sweet. Also I love your hat's ears. Very cute.
I really like the concept behind pale Luna. Like it's a confession of where the body (or at least the head) of a murder victim is. The player is tricked into thinking it's treasure and thus the body can be found, but the killer stays as anonymous as can be
I remember my friend's and I calling the Boothworld number in middle school. I didn't even know it was a creepypasta my friend had just told me the story before calling. Forgot about it up until now, crazy.
Guys don't commit the same mistake as me, don't watch the video up to the minute 35:00! You might think that the video ends at 34:40 but after that the video continues and the screen just has the message "stop watching" written in blood, I was curious enough to continue but that was the worst mistake I've ever made! Once i got to minute 35:00 izzzyzzz became real and started to cry hyperrealistic blood, dragged me into me phone and trapped me on this comment section for all eternity...
Love the new video as always :D Just so you know though, Yuko Tatsushima generally doesn't like for her art to be used/shared online T_T she has a twitter, and I'd check with her if she's comfortable with you using her art in the thumbnail/showing it in the video.
13:37 apparently the Grey Man is a character that pops up quite often in like stupid paranormal stories . Usually you can just explain it through "you were tired and got paranoid at seeing a random shadow". Or drugs.
ooh I remember seeing Pale Luna when I was a kid and couldn't remember the name after so many years. I loved that one because of the game format. So happy to see it back!
To be fair: "from the original Super Mario Brothers forward"... Further back than that even. Mario as "jump man" predates Super Mario Brothers in Donkey Kong. And Lord only knows how many corpses he littered across THAT franchise.
Oh my gosh!!! I was kind of hoping that Borrasca would be on here but I wasn't sure how well known it was. I remember reading it on NoSleep as a teen and it really getting to me, but I couldn't help but finish it because of how much I enjoyed the writing style. Totally unlocked a repressed memory there, but I had no idea it was made into a podcast! I will probably have to check that out.
got so excited when you started talking about Borrasca that I involuntarily squee'd. It's one of my favorites, along with it's sequel Borrasca V. Didn't know Rebecca went on to write for any shows, good for her :)
I never liked Barasca something about using fear of getting kidnapped r*ped and forced to bear your r*pist child as the jumpscare reveal of the story doesn’t sit right with me. Especially when that horror is so real for so many people in real life. Not that you can’t use themes of r*pe in a story but the way Barasca did so was just tasteless and it felt more like the author was just trying to come up with the most horrible scenario rather than truly incorporating it into the theme in a meaningful way. It’s just not my type of horror I guess I would rather be spoked by the supernatural or thing you just can’t explain rather than just r*pe. I guess I like stories were at the end I can comfort myself that it was just a story. But r*pe is not just a scary thing that happens in spooky stories it happens every day it isn’t scary it is realty, it doesn’t make me scared it makes me sad and angry.
@@rex4796 right! I especially hate how the protagonist is a man yet the story is all revolved around horrible stuff happening to woman. Using a common woman fear to spoke men is so tasteless

a fun fact about the gray man, in the game when you encounter him he deletes all of his memories in game, that was possibly what made the friend delete everything in his laptop in the story

Please talk about Petscop, it's technically an ARG but it was the first online horror content I ever consumed and it absolutely creeped me out. the thing that makes it unique is that nothing truly 'scary' actually happens, no jumpscares or violence, but something about it is just extremely unnerving

I've never been able of finding it again tho, maybe it was also a dream all along.
It might’ve been rocket to insanity? That’s the closest one I can think of- it’s a story where cupcakes is a reoccurring nightmare rainbow has that starts to get to her, to the point when pinkie asks her to make cupcakes with her it triggers flashbacks and she ends up attacking/maybe killing pinkie

Funny thing, I know the artist who drew that "Ash coma" picture and yes. That picture is literally everywhere all the time whenever this theory is brought up, you cannot escape it. I was literally giddy with excitement to see if you were gonna show it when talking about this creepypasta and I was not wrong.
Dudeee you gotta give the artist @ at least, I’m so curious to see what their art is today and how they r doing 🎉

That Purple Balloon one sounds like it could be kinda wholesome.
Like the jester giving someone the balloon could be a sign that they’ll live and the doctor at the hospital could be the guy’s civilian identity.
I looked up to see if purple balloons have any meaning... it's not that wholesome...

Such a great underrated band.
That's such a fun concept for an album

21:15 Just a correction: That image actually originated as a fursuit that was created by a Deviantart user named Qarrezel as a commission for someone within the furry community. It's supposed to be a zombie werewolf named Breynz.
Not to mention the creepypasta predates the SCP anyways, so her point is moot either way :/
Came here to say this but forgot who made the suit so thanks, i was looking for them again lol
I love seeing people say just how good Tatsushima's art is, they're so eye-catching, unique and terrifying.
Recently reread Cupcakes and aside from the awful writing… why did they place such an emphasis on Rainbow Dash literally pissing and shitting herself multiple times? Forget the gore, THAT’S the part that disturbs me to no end 😭
Yeah, some retakes and the like omit that stuff completely, yeah that is very clear of the 4chan energy it had originally.
I always interpreted "The Dawn is Your Enemy" bumper as Adult Swim being like, "Yep, you stayed up all night, now the fun is almost over," or something like that. If you were the type of person to have Adult Swim running past 3:00 am regularly you'd be accustomed to seeing weird shit like this lol.

Wouldn't that be dark and spooky?"
And it's the same story with far too many creepypasta that follow the DARK SECRET INTERPRETATION OF YOUR FAVORITE KID'S CARTOON formula: It pulls a darker framework out of its ass that has no relationship to the actual source text but would sure be dark if it were real.
That was a lot, but I read it all. Neat stuff!
"who was phone" and "man door hand hook car" are everything to me. I haven't sing mr sandman without adding "make him the cutest car hook door hook man"

OH MY GOD THE THEATER. There was once this old creepypasta rpg gamemaker game and one of the biggest parts WAS the theater. That game went so hard tbh

My friends still talk about it
You’ve become something of a creepypasta yourself. I saw somebody in a chat talk about making the mistake of googling “sharpie bath” and seeing “a scary witch lady”
The first thing that shows up when you google “sharpe bath” is your video on the incident (with your very fun and in this case child scaring makeup)
It is so funny how much people just assume things based on one glance. I can imagine that story might get wild over some time.
@aino-kaisav5504 What story?

Honestly, the sequels to abandoned by Disney make the goofy photonegative Mickey suit a lot more interesting in retrospect. I'd definitely recommend 'A few suggestions' (as well as room zero & Corruptus if you haven't read them already).

There's an actual subreddit for horror stories that revolve around rules.

borrasca is genuinely amazing , it’s super long and you start wondering if all these stupid plot points mean anything, but then the reveal at the end will make your jaw drop
So I made a plushie of Dead Gold for her birthday and sent her a pic saying "omg I found a dead gold plush online!"
Ahe later told me she immediately scoured the internet looking for it but found nothing, only for me to surprise her with the handmade plush the next day.
There are two options I guess (feel free to comment more):
1. The killer called the police on the first floor for the murder they committed (?)
2. It implies that an old lady is an entity, a cryptid of some kind, who managed to call the police using just her brain power.
i think its implied that either the killer is still in the house somehow unseen or the lady was faking her illness and killed the carer before calling the police and going back upstairs to act innocent. my money’s on the second one
the old lady is the killer. i went back to read the og and it pretty much confirms it lol

To be fair: "from the original Super Mario Brothers forward"... Further back than that even. Mario as "jump man" predates Super Mario Brothers in Donkey Kong. And Lord only knows how many corpses he littered across THAT franchise.

It’s such a tasteless story. The plot twist is just child rape. Its idiotic and shameful to see people praising it still
@@rex4796 right! I especially hate how the protagonist is a man yet the story is all revolved around horrible stuff happening to woman. Using a common woman fear to spoke men is so tasteless

I have vague yet somewhat vivid memories of reading a multi part Cupcakes "sequel" where it was implied the og story was all a dream of Rainbow Dash's (?) that would make her go mad and later attack and murder some of the other characters.
You're probably thinking of Rocket to Insanity and misremembering a little bit, Rainbow Dash only ends up killing Pinkie Pie.
I'm thankful this dropped right now. Having a bad day and this Is a way to make It better
