No one is touching Metallica in this era, Its really not even close. The speed, the technicality, and heaviness is unmatched.
Megadeth? XDDD
@@nemesis3993 Megadeth weren’t as well known at this point we’re they? I feel like the speed of Metallica is more warranted compared to *some* megadeth stuff which feels like it’s quick for the sake of it (obviously tornado which is 100% to be played that fast if not faster). I could be wrong though.
Ps love megadeth and that’s just me being honest
Well....There are bands who are better at speed, technicality, heaviness etc, they just aren't as iconic.
There are quite a few in fact. Not as well known is argument you should have used.
Both slayer and megadeth were and are faster and better than metallica
Vocals/Guitar-Thor
Drums- Danish Jesus
Guitar- kirk
Bass- *LUCIFER*
Seeing these comments it’s funny to see “Jesus” and “satan” playing together xd
Kirk=dionysus or hades
@@goldenwolf8081God, Jesus and Lucifer are always arguing about their favourite Metallica era
An entire stadium full of people chanting "DIE" at the top of their lungs; that must have been extraordinary.
It was
Sent chills down my spine, it was special, unmatched really.

I respect Rob but really miss Jason. He brought so much energy to the stage👍🤟
If you watch the Justice For All album interview, James and Kirk really express Jason's involvement in the band at that point! Really good to watch!
@@rileyunger4779 thanks, I will have a look!
Jason was my crush 😁👍
Robert was Nothing in front of Jason
@@75rayyaninamulhaquecob56 except a better bassist love Jason and he played and composed on far better albums but when it comes to pure playing Rob is a more skilled bass player in my opinion
5:24 those backing vocals holy fuck
Satan came out of him for a second
5:16 don’t forget here where Satan took over Jason
@@Takaichi666- and also 4:10
Jason’s screeching highs and his gutteral lows were flawless. So ahead of his time. Dude could’ve been an insane vocalist in his own right 6:06
Well, not really. You had Jeff Becerra and Chuck Schuldiner before a few years earlier.
Edit:
But, you can't deny that Jason was an absolute fucking unit for the whole 16 years he spent in Metallica!!
The energy of this concert is pure METAL. Arguably best metal concert in history, it just goes way beyond the music at this point. This is just RAW.
I agree best metalica concert but I think best concerts were pantera
@@coleorange970 Rock on bro! Also an awesome band
Monsters of Rock - Moscow 1991 gets my vote for best Metallica concert!
Live After Death is the best concert of all time. It is the concert that influenced all the others and it came out 4 years before this one. The influence was both in technical and sound deployment, as well as in pyrotechnics and visuals (number of cameras). A lot of music is missing in these comments that speak of the best of all time when it really is not. But I do consider that it is the best Metallica concert, before they became clowns on stage.
Raw fn energy and power. The only other band I can think off having same energy around the same time was Slayer and Antrhax. I've seen Slayer couple of times and they never messed up their live shows, easily one of the best live performance bands of all times.
Gotta love Jason’s backup vocals on this
Hells yea that growl at 5:26 wtf
Как Джин Симмонс
He was possessed by a dead Pharoah on this song. Dude is just a monster. So much energy.
34 year old male, watching this alone, drunk, in 2024. Best band on the planet bar none, seen them 4 times. He’ll never see this but James Hetfield has saved my life, on more than one occasion, just by being James Hetfield. The power of music. Thanks for a great video. Long live Metallica, Kill ‘em All, cheers
I am right there with ya brother! Their new album has messages that has saved my live this past year
That was a mistake, he actually intended for you to die…
long live the kings of metal🤘🏻🎸
You are a good man
Sale here... 05/12/24. Cheers
SLAAAAVVEESSS, HEEEEEED
Jesus Christ Jason's vocals were nuts.
Straight demon coming out of him
Lars drumms sound like thunder punch ,so powerful🤘
He used that exact set for quite a few years on the justice tour and during black album tour that set cost thousands look at how huge them toms are thats where that sound mainly comes from
Didn’t he use it at Moscow in 1991
Jason's stage presence is what every bass player is dreaming of
I dont think alot of people see how impressive this is. Hes playing so goddamn fast its insane.
That isn't impressive, BUT playing at that speed and still sounding amazing IS impressive!
@@BonaldDrump its definitely impressive enough on its own
Listen to this song when they played it in 1986 in Canada. That was impressive.
as a guitar player, it seems fast if you don’t play, but trust me it’s not that fast
@@blurr2426as a guitar player, this is pretty fast. they’re playing way above the studio recording
Jason's thunder snarl vocals are insane and untouchable..what a dimension he added.
Dad, why is my sister’s name Rose?
Because your mother loves Roses
Thanks dad

I wasn’t even alive in ‘89 but would have given anything to be at this concert.
I saw them in April 1989! My first time seeing Metallica! I was 19! You can't believe how loud this concert was and how good Metallica was at this point!🤘🤘🔥🔥😊
Man Jason's backup vocals are fucking scary. It's amazing
That die die die part is the most epic shit i’ve ever seen
always epic when the whole crowd knows the part and you hear the die! die! die! without anyone telling them. Such an epic breakdown.. I love that they always drag that part out live
Dude, that breakdown thing they do before the chant is so damn cool. Tribal drum beat, Jason just laying down the concrete on the bass. Perfection.
Hands down best ever live performance of this song!!!
ruclips.net/video/g02l5JJHvAc/видео.html
id say toronto 86, but there’s no proper footage
I'd say Metalhammer Fest in 1985 out of anything that has been recorded properly.
San Diego '92, is with the same energy and does it for me but the energy that comes of is just spectacular
moscow 91’
2:39 meow
If I had a time machine I'd go to this concert
i think queen live aid for me or jimi hendrix at woodstock
Woodstock as a whole would be awesome
I'd go back and save cliff
i would go back to woodstock 94 and or 99 just to see metallica play "so what?"
Jason’s backing vocals were always so fucking killer dude 🔥🔥
this is the metallica i wish i could have seen
NO OTHER BAND IN ANY GENRE IN ALL OF HUMAN HISTORY WILL COME CLOSE TO 80s METALLICA
they speeded it up so much. unbelievable they maintained pace to the end. lars is amazing. plus the strength he beats those drums..
Yeah Lars beat the hell out of his kit, Metallica was so fucking good live
For his size, he hit incredibly hard. Still does, but back then he was an animal.
@@mattdad8429Lars was a beast in his prime, they all were honestly. They still kick ass to this day.
Go and watch there Toronto 1986 creeping death that was there fastest performance of every song they played that day
But he is a bad drummer waaaahhh!!😂
At 4:44 you realize the power of Metallica.
Absolute command.
The captains of freedom we still dont know how to explain.
They really know how to get a crowd going insane for them, don’t they? Lots of bands hated going on after them, because of how crazy the crowds got and pelted them for being substandard. Dokken, Ozzy Osbourne and Guns N Roses all had a rough time with Metallica.
Jason FOCKIN Newsted! He had it all!
Jason is such an underrated vocalist
i've listened to metal pretty much my whole life but i've never liked metallica until recently. and holy fuck i cant understand why i never did. these guys are absolutely insane. talent in the purest form
I’m in the exact same boat dude, never really even considered listening to them but they are like my most listened to band this year
I'm completely the opposite of you two. I got into Metal way back in the day BECAUSE of Metallica. And they are still the best. Nothing else comes close.
Better late than never guys. At least you've got a lot of content to catch up on. Enjoy
they get a lot of hate for their 90's "Fuel" era so a lot of people avoid them but people seem to forget they were completely groundbreaking and one of the best metal bands ever in the 80's
Hope all the new stranger things fans have found their way over to this fuckin gem
lol right
Jason and James vocally were feckin awesome at this point.
Jason is pure raw power, unmatched
Hory sheeeeeeet, those Jason's vocals are pure agression
5:24 the vocals bro lol holy crap
This is probably my favorite song of all time.
Not Creeping Death, but Creeping Death live in Seattle '89.
The intro alone puts me in the best of mindsets. When they go quiet and then start the riff at 0:30 ... Man, i could run through a fucking wall!
Jason's "Motherfucker" must be the purest and most authentic in human history. If there is a song that can get me through a brick wall, make me take a bath in plutonium and let me swim without any equipment to Jupiter, then this is that fucking song. A Masterpiece!!!
When Jason left, so did I. Jason was the soul back then.
Respect to Jason for giving 110%
I still keep coming back to this.
I come here again and again just to hear Jason’s lethal vocals
Casual Fans- Enter Sandman and Nothing Else Matters
Hardcore fans/Heavy metal fans- Creeping Death🤘🤘
In my opinion this is their best song and the Greatest Metal song ever written..
Jason's epic "MOTHERFUCKER DIE" didnt make it into the remaster??? WTF???
Maybe it’s not politically correct or some other modern bullshit!
@@NukeRabbit That was the best part :@
@@talktalk2412 facts, it truly was the best part
@@alinusgheiming I know! I like the way Robert does it aswell though as can be heard in "Through the Never" concert film.
Yeah it did. Its at 5:16
And Jason for all
Not a fucking phone in sight, beautiful.
Justice Era Metallica was unstoppable!
I still can’t believe this was 33 years ago. Metallica really was ahead of its time
I can’t get over how fast James' down picking is
5:08
God Damn I just realized that Kirk also can scream too, Bet he's the one who thought Jason to scream like that 🔥
The best perfomance of Creeping death ever
Check out Metalhammer Fest 1985
Moscow '91?
In this time. James Hetfield. Was the fucking Lion King. Metallica was his pride. Bow before them. Or be eaten alive. 😎
Kirks guitar at 7:02 is one of the most beautiful things ive ever heard GODDAYUM
Every list has MASTER as the #1 METAL song, FUCK THAT its CREEPING DEATH!
Kids, these are your grandparents, they are cooler than you.
Ride the Lighting was released in 1984, it's 2024 right now and no one album is touching this. Timeless masterpiece
Cliff would have been proud 👏
1989 was Metallica at their peak, their most metal and most pissed!
best creeping death version ever... 🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼
Creeping Death Lyrics
[Verse 1]
Slaves, Hebrews born to serve
To the Pharaoh
Heed, to his every word
Live in fear
Faith, of the unknown one
The deliverer
Wait, something must be done
Four-hundred years
[Chorus]
So let it be written
So let it be done
I'm sent here by the chosen one
So let it be written
So let it be done
To kill the first born Pharaoh son
I'm creeping death
[Verse 2]
Now, let my people go
Land of Goshen
Go, I will be with thee
Bush of fire
Blood, running red and strong
Down the Nile
Plague, darkness three days long
Hail to fire
[Chorus]
So let it be written
So let it be done
I'm sent here by the chosen one
So let it be written
So let it be done
To kill the first born Pharaoh son
I'm creeping death
[Guitar Solo]
[Bridge]
Die (Die)
By my hand (Die, die)
I creep across the land (Die, die)
Killing first-born man (Die, die, die)
Die (Die)
By my hand (Die, die)
I creep across the land (Die, die)
Killing first-born man (Die, die, die)
[Verse 3]
I rule the midnight air
The destroyer
Born, I shall soon be there
Deadly mass
I creep the steps and floor
Final darkness
Blood, lamb's blood-painted door
I shall pass
[Chorus]
So let it be written
So let it be done
I'm sent here by the chosen one
So let it be written
So let it be done
To kill the first born Pharaoh son
I'm creeping death
this 3:28 part in specific will *ALWAYS* be iconic
I love every era of Metallica. Life changes for everyone in different ways, and I’m happy they’re still around. Mad respect for these musicians.
Jason bringing the heavy vocals, wish he'd have sang more songs.
Jason really became the heartbeat for the whole band. They did him so dirty on And Justice.
I met Jason 2-3 times as a radio host side/intern, & out the dozens/hundreds of "famous" people I met, he was the most down to earth, nicest, coolest dude. 100% awesome guy. Even remembered me & personally gave me a keychain bottle opener for his NEWSTED band at the time. I never forgot that.
Rob, I love me some Suicidal Tendencies, but Jason was something else
I don’t care what anyone says, Jason had better backing vocals than both Cliff and Rob
We need more of your amazing work, man!
Best remastered ever! Please do full version of this concert!
lars is amazing hes talent is unmatched
Idk man you honestly can't beat this era of 'tallica, they were so good on this tour and james voice is unmatched during these years too, along with jasons backup vocals
ONLY 36k views??? WTF??? Look at these guys, the energy, stage presence, precision, etc.... it's really unbelievable to me. I can't imagine having been there. WOW!!! Gives me goose bumps yo!!
Best concert I ever saw. Metallica in their prime.
This music would literally kick your ass live. Jason does a great Lemmy by the way.
The opening with the drums just makes me feel so powerful inside 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Jason kick fucking ass on this one.........the best METALLICA years
2:39 NO WAY LMAO
the band back then was on another level,i remember as a kid that metallica concerts was miles better in comparison to the studio version
Its unreal how amazing of a show they did. I will be seeing them again this summer for 2 nights. Will be my 8th time seeing them
Going to see them this summer, only my second or third concert ever. Man I bet being there at this concert was so epic, grateful I get to see them in my lifetime regardless. These guys and their music will always have a special spot in my heart
Best version of their best song
This type of live performance was the reason why Metallica was beloved back in the day. Pure fn energy.
5:25 that fucking scream, he’s genuinely scary and it’s the coolest shit I’ve ever seen
This must have been an AWESOME show.
Damn the audio is fuckin AWSOME on this. Great work!!!
Jason was a beast 😊
Saw the band several times on this tour. One of my memories is how incredibly, freakishly loud their shows were. Just deafening. Haven't been to any other show since that brought the walls down like Metallica in their classic era. Damn...

Thrash in its purest form. Metallica in this time was perfect..... Oh and talk all the shit you want about Lars but there is no denying he CRUSHED it here...
Got in trouble in class for playing this today… totally worth it 😂🤘🏻
Metal at its peak..
I think I still have my ticket stub from this tour. Incredible show.
