Why are people so freaking negative?
Not everyone follow all of the other channels, I love that we get to see those parts too!
Stop complaining about the editing, do you think you can do it better? I think they do an amazing job! I love that we can watch them and they can share what they are doing! Keep up the great work!
Seriously! Last I checked this is free content. Sheesh…
Thank you 🙏 We are trying and doing the best we can. Remember we also are a full time working superyacht the content creation is just fun on the side.
Welcome to the internet where lots of dummies got exposed and people complain to complain 🤣🤣🤣
Agreed - although I was one before to try and make a suggestion to drop the jump cuts, I definitely was only coming from a position of constructive feedback. Others seem to just like to complain and forget that they can flip to the next channel.
I don't even know how to edit lol
I did 3 crossings as a deckhand. Enjoyed 2 of them. 1 of them I swear the captain was a sadist and a drunk. He found every storm system in the Atlantic and aimed for it I'm convinced. We made it to Italy and immediately had to go on the hard for 3 weeks for repairs after the crossing, 8 knots was too slow, the boat could cruise at 13 and that is what he aimed for. In rough seas, it was miserable. I love rough weather on boats. But after a while of feeling like you're in a washing machine and you aren't passing out cold from drinking like the captain was so you got no sleep, it wears on you. I would have loved to had Paul as a captain...or any competent captain really.
I really enjoy the 'behind the scenes' access you give us into the Motor Yacht Loon operation. I'm curious how much $$ was spent on food before your departure! Ignore any haters and keep the great content coming 😊
Poaching key staff from Sir Richard now, cheeky! 😁
The work is crazy. If and when I win the lottery I will never buy a yacht of any size for any reason. I’ll charter ~thank you!
THE WORK!!!😮💨😮💨😮💨
Great to see an Aussie on board. Make no mistake about it the young fella will add value to your team. A typical Aussie is a hard working reliable person. Yes I'm a proud Aussie.
That now makes 4 Aussies in the crew. Capt Paul both the chefs Nina and Dean and now Jacko. We’re slowly taking over 🇦🇺
The excitement is palpable! I love seeing all of this. I also love seeing the shots of Loon at the dock, by the hotel and bridge. Loon is so gorgeous! Glad you all get time off! You deserve it and you need it. Safe passage to all! Obviously I know you made it to Monaco, but I still want and need to see the crossing. I'm grateful we get to see all of this. Best to all of you!
I’m a pilot for a private jet and when we’re in Miami the crew stays at the hotel right next to where you were docked. I think I saw you guys tied up when we were down for a trip but only realized it after the fact when I saw the footage. So fascinating to see all that is required and planned for a huge trip like this.
The fuel sample thing really interests me because we fill up the jet with 20,000lbs of fuel which is quality checked at the airport when the tanker delivers the fuel to the airport but other than that no further checks are done on JETA fuel when we get fueled from a truck. Crazy that something that can at least float in place gets more fuel checks than something that can’t stay aloft without fuel in the tanks. Cool to learn about those types of things.
I’ll trade you a tour of the jet I fly for a tour of the ship next time we’re both in Miami/FLL area
lol I fly private jets too and I immediately thought the same thing. We get thousands of gallons and never sample it ourselves.
@@smack300 how did you build time were you a cfi?
When’s the last time a plane crashed due to Jet A contamination? Ship engines cost as much as a cheap jet and can take a long time to repair.
"Jackson flew in from Sydney" ...and boy are his arms tired!
Yep, definitely need Vegemite on the crossing for the Aussies on board. Good buy Nina, though I am sure Dean would have got a few jars.
I can't believe the market had Vegemite!! Not only the Aussies are slowly taking over the boat they are also taking over the food source with the Vegemite! 😂Good job all of you. Cheers
Good luck to all on the crossing and have a great break to all not crossing. I hope the temp blogger gives us some great footage. Take care everyone.
Shared footage made both videos and both channels better. Keep up the good work.
What a great boat and a truly amazing crew
Always great to catch to Nina and Deano in the galley and to see what goes on with the crew and guest charter dining options. Another well done episode team Loon 👍🛳️
Ha, a couple of friends of mine were on it at the Monaco GP! Looked quite good fun!
It would be cool just to do this crossing. With a background in Nuclear Engineering on a submarine, it would be different to actually see the sunrises and sunsets at sea instead of the inside of the boat. Your recent engineering tour was most interesting. I'm great at washing dishes too (mess cranking). I'll be watching. Mahalo Nui with Aloha...
So glad you have two content creators ... Dylan as we've already seen parts of the crossing.... you did an amazing job.... 👏 The videos are just getting better and better... well done 👏
Fascinating to see what it takes to do what you do!
💗from Southern California.
Safe passage guys I already know you made it so good job⚓️❤️⚓️
excited to see this crossing!
I crew as a first mate/engineer on a way smaller 60 some foot sailing charter.
It is amazing how much stuff is the same on a super yacht, hard work all around.
Love your vids.
Really enjoyed the changing of the guards!!!
Impressive amount of work to sail across the Atlantic! Thanks for making this vid.....it lets us understand what it takes to move a super yacht from one side of the Pond to the other!!!
Another enjoyable look behind the scenes. Thanks for all your hard work guys and gals.
It was great seeing the boat at the dock. Next time around come up to Olive & Sea for a cocktail.
Would be cool if you managed to film a SpaceX booster landing from a distance while passing Bahamas.
We’ve said the same thing before.
Just found this channel. I love everything to do with boats and you guys are doing a fantastic job showing the superyacht life. Thank you!
Thanks for a great video folks!
Love ur vids keep uppp 🔥🔥
Love from switzerland 🇨🇭
Old vid, repeat, who cares??? Any MYL video is WELCOME on my feed. Always facinating seeing the behind the scenes. Great video once again!
That’s a lot of work getting ready for your trip,,thanks for sharing,,😊
Another great video with an amazing boat.
Enjoying the videos from Las Vegas 👍
Thanks for the video. Every crossing is different and will be interesting to see what happens at the beginning of it.
This also shows the continuous work crews have to do, it is a 7 day a week job while on duty and you need to balance it out when you have those weeks off to enjoy.
Right behind ya 😁
Nice video glad to meet the new staff
Love watching this channel, and more Aussie team members 😎🇦🇺😎
That's a lot of work from the hardest working folks I've ever seen. If they put forth this effort for a crossing imagine what they do for the rich people? A different planet.
Glad I found this channel, love it
Love your content. Love your editing. Watching is like taking a vacation 😂
Great content as always!
Great behind-the-scenes info.
This is going my way.
Fast Action Jackson
Great vid!
How cool!
I recognize the propguar of the rescue boat.
That engine has been preped by the company I work for.
Only we make them like that.
Great editing!
These rotational positions are the bomb!
I would be SO awesome if I had a wife/mom to take my place every 8 weeks (*especially* if I can find one that defrosts the freezer and deep cleans the kitchen before going off duty) 😎😝🙃
Loved the video!
I recommend having a look at the Swellpro Splashdrone 4 (waterproof and floats), will save to replacement costs over time - can even do underwater video - thermal and night vision cameras available as well and can be fitted with payload release mechanism ...
Great vlog…go Loon…Nord Norge
Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "northwest passage"! 😂🤣
Looks like a normal trip for some folks shopping at COSTCO. Safe sailing.
10:30 Paige did you have to move in the lounge if the weather got too er bouncy (not a technical word but hay sue me). Thank you for showing us the prep stage before the Atlantic crossing.
Safe journey on the Atlantic and gor uour summer season.
Truly love your watching all the things it takes to do a crossing. Question please. Why leave and go down to the Bahamas? You can go towards the Azores directly> Thanks...
Nina in the thumbnail. I am into it, for sure… 😍
👍✅🏝 Fun as always!
Love the videos ❤ How do you keep fruit and veg fresh for 2-3 weeks? Any particular tips and tricks for storing the food? What temperature do you run the fridge and freezers? Thanks
Nice job! Get those toys tied down! 😜
That trip planning app is great. What is it? Love the channel
2:35 you can take the gal out of Aussie, but you can't take the Aussie out of the gal ...... but only 1 jar Nina ?!?!?! 🤣🤣🤣
Chef ! :) Love that you bought vegemite although I cant believe it is available in the US. I thought it was only the Aussies that love there vegemite. Love your channel :)
I love this channel. Wish there were more frequent videos to watch.
2/week isn’t enough??? Maybe we should just go full big bother and live stream 24/7
@@motoryachtloon Why not? We all would watch I'm sure!
haha lets do it 😎
how do you prep your frozen food/stores tp prevent freezer burn? what temp do you keep the freezers at? keep up the great videos
use within a few weeks prevents it
1:30’ nice transition was possible from the team… keep it in… don’t cut it out! ♥️
This is old footage though, Nina already posted some of this, but good call on using her again. She works, literally.
Best smile: Nina
I'll be in Ft Lauderdale for a day at the end of October, and staying at the Hilton Marina before a cruise. I'll have to see if you guys are around and give you a shoutout through the fence! 😆
in October we might just be there
It amuses me that Mount Mitchell NC is on your weather map. I assume there's a station up there or something
just got back from ft Lauderdale . very rainy
Dean, there is no debate.
spindle
noun
1. a slender rounded rod with tapered ends used in hand-spinning to twist and wind thread from a mass of wool or flax held on a distaff.
2.a rod or pin serving as an axis that revolves or on which something revolves.
Those are fiddles.
fiddle
noun
1. a musical instrument of the viol family.
2. Nautical. a small ledge or barrier raised in heavy weather to keep dishes, pots, utensils, etc., from sliding off tables and stoves.
3. British Informal. swindle; fraud.
They are already in Italy
How often does the fridge and freezer get deep cleaned
So you you only need about 200-300 one-week charters to break-even with the ship costs?
Monaco Gp, Italy and Atlantic ???
Vegemite Im super surprised
Reading the title, I thought you were coming back! Must be a quiet season in the med eh?
21 day passage.. is it better or more cost effective than putting loon on a heavy transport vessel, and take that time to do a mini hull scrub etc. I see lots of large yachts loaded up on these massive vessels
Insight on what's the best bang for man power and costs
Who was master of vessel for the crossing?
Really like these videos,
Old sailor out
Is there ever a situation (for example a crossing with no guests on board), where more crew than crew cabins available are needed/ on board? Would the guest suites be used in that case, or do they generally stay vacant without guests on board? Love the Videos and the Crew!
they never have paying guests during Atlantic crossings
I'd expect everyone not needed for the crossing to be on vacation, as they're not going to be carrying paying passengers. Then, when they arrive in the Med, the people are rested and ready for paying customers again.
did you go on to Croatia ?
I wish they did longer videos. 15 mins just not enough. But thank you for the parts you show us.
That 15 mins they show you encompasses likely hundreds of hours of footage.
You should tell us how much is spend on food/pantry provisioning
A few hectic days for sure.
this pretty woman makes the best to eat, the best so see about, and the best for Loon. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
and we see beautiful people too...
where is the answer to how much the fuel cost (for the last video)? Am super curious 😄
I’ve always been told tomatoes don’t go in the refrigerator; however, I must admit, cold cherry tomatoes make an awful ly good snack.
I love how 90% of the crew ends their clips with, "and, yeah"
I know in the end the owner of the vessel pays all the invoices for the vessel. But he isn’t there, so who takes care of the invoices, while you guys are yachting and having fun?
I would love to have a Loon t-shirt do you have a website where I can get one? You guys are one of my favorite RUclips channels 👍👍
Thank you. Our merch store should be launching in about 2-3 weeks. The shirts are in production right now 😎
Before I read the description I thought was it big enough to cross the Atlantic
I thought Nina was doing the Med cruises.
My problem right now is with the continuity. 2 weeks ago, they were in Ft. Lauderdale. Then they replied about doing the Atlantic crossing.
I understand that takes like 2 weeks.
But next thing you know, they in Monaco for the GP.
Then the video about the prep for the crossing?
If I'm missing something here, please let me know.
When the old videographer left they fell behind in posting for a while. Captain Paul said a few weeks ago that they're going to be trying to catch up on what hasn't been shared yet while still sharing current stuff, but it'll take a while. The GP videos aren't going to get nearly as good of engagement when they're released weeks after the event actual ends. I for one want to see the crossing, so I'm happy they're still putting them out instead of just skipping the process.
@@lindseysharon259 thank you for the response. I know it's not an easy job to do all the filming and editing that they do here. I honestly appreciate the insight. Thank you.
Great video! 🫶
Good afternoon Captain Paul.
Question
In your career have you ever encountered a female superyacht captain? Ever heard of one?
Thanks
yes the very famous capt sandy
@@mfhairstream6812 ???
What are the little black bracelets the capt and deckhands were wearing?
Whoop
Does the person going on leave still on full pay. If thats the case then that means that the owner has to pay 2 crews wages. One on the boat while the other is on leave.
yes, all part of the year's contract
👍👍👍👍👍
Curious, what are the stews provisioning from the grocery store?
Where are they supposed to provision from?
god I fancy nina so much. 10/10 woman.
Having Nina as a Top Rate Chef, is a huge advantage on LOON. But the fact that She’s quite a Hottie also makes things better. Sorry Dean, just saying.
Keep Safe and Well All.
