Took my family to NZ a couple of years ago and we fished off this wharf. Had an amazing afternoon fishing here. My family loved it.

My girlfriend climbed down that ladder to fetch a bucket the kids had dropped and a big bronzy popped up out of the water....I told her before we flew out to NZ, don't worry about sharks, you'll never see one...

Great fishing but you gotta get yourself some cheap rubber soled shoes bc those shells can cut your feet really badly and it can get infected! Take care, good luck and put the little ones back bc there is always another day...
