    I always used to wonder why the Land Cruiser and Land Rover D110 / D90 had those wide and large square ridiculously bulky roof lines. Until I rode in one off roading. Then I realized very quickly being 6'2" that I did not hit my head as the vehicle rocked back and forth. As for all the Toyota pickups and 4 runners I owned, always guaranteed a bump on the left side of my head. There was even a additional grab handle up top. That I always wondered if it was placed there, as a Japanese playback for Hiroshima and Nagasaki. On the Toyota pickups and 4Runners.

    The brick in the middle of the course was very entertaining.

    Dude, your home course is a lot like mine, random piles of rock and bricks and some of those curved, concrete border things! Your trucks are top notch, keep it up!

    Excellent work comparing the three rigs. You’ve done a great job building all three. Love the FJ40 as always.

    Hi the only thing that spoiled the comparison vid of all 3 trucks was when you drove the 1st one then drove it off screen and changed to one of the others instead of driving it into camera shot it just jumped on screen it would of looked more realistic if you would have driven it into camera shot would of looked like they were just following eachother round you did do it once or twice looked alot more realistic that way but other than that great content

    I'd like to know if it's possible to quite these trucks down? It's the one thing that turns me off about the rock racers ect,well any Rc car,my tank is so noisy it takes the fun out for me,I'm in to scale,and all the trucks you show look pretty awesome,crept that loud whine.

    • @RCeveryday
      @RCeveryday  8 лет назад +2

      I have yet to see of any motor setup that isnt noisy. Maybe one day

    • @FinMcMurder
      @FinMcMurder 5 лет назад

      Well you could do the speaker thing and drown out the whining of the electric motor. Speaker thing is where you got the sound of the motor playing through a little speaker on your car. I know you can set it up to rev based off your controller's throttle in real time.

    What is your set up on the FJ40? ESC, motor, tires, wheels, shock oil ,springs.
    Really like the way it moved and crawled.

      It’s been so long I don’t remember I’m sure I have a video on it somewhere. I changed that rig so often and it’s been sold for a couple years now.

    Great comparison video😃🎉...I’m trying to decide between these 3😊 to order from Tower hobbies,want more Trail than crawler,with real scale looks,and will also order a tamiya rs540 motor for more speed and get some wheel spin action in the dirt.and keep the 45t motor for crawling areas😊

    I like the red car. Did you modify the spring? I'm curious about the specs.

    Good vid. I love the FJ40 and in 1:1 they look best modded with bigger tyres and a lift, they look top heavy as standard. Do 1.7 fit? I currently run an SCX10 Jeep unlimited with 1.9 and 4.2” Maxxis

    • @RCeveryday
      @RCeveryday  6 лет назад +2

      1.7 fit no problem, the kit comes with 1.9's stock just with tiny tires.

    • @ClarkyXPH
      @ClarkyXPH 6 лет назад +2

      RC Everyday cool. What size tyres are a good upgrade on these then? And are any suspension mods recommended?

    • @RCeveryday
      @RCeveryday  6 лет назад +2

      You can go pretty large on the cruisers, Having had several gelande 2's, the best upgrade I found was some better shocks. All of my stock kit shocks leaked and just couldnt carry the weight of a fully loaded scale truck. I have since sold all mine off though. I prefer my Trailfinder 2s now days.

    Nice video. You mentioned how smooth the esc/motor combo was in the FJ40. What combo is it? Thanks.

    • @RCeveryday
      @RCeveryday  7 лет назад +2

      It was a novak Eiger ESC and their 55t motor combo. Since I have come to prefer holmes hobbies motors. My 27t crawler master motor has way more bottom end torque and more than twice the top end speed.

    • @RCeveryday
      @RCeveryday  7 лет назад +2

      I no longer have this rig, in this video I was running the stock 1.9 wheels with the rc4wd dick cepek mud country tires.

    Hi Josh. What shocks areyou currently running on the d110? I know youve had issues with the king 100mm. I too have had issues with the kinds (there shit) but also ive tried the rc4wd emulsions 90mm, there shite too. Im thinking of the G-Made piggybacks 93mm. Any thoughts matey?

    • @RCeveryday
      @RCeveryday  9 лет назад +2

      +Rudolf Hessiansack I am still running the stock axial cheapo shocks and they are still working well. Never had any of g-mades shocks. The guy at my local hobby store recommended the pro-line powerstroke shocks but I think it was because thats what they had in stock, lol

  • @bdar95
    @bdar95 7 лет назад +1

    could you use the losi mini t oil filled shocks on the front?

  • @jb3161
    @jb3161 8 лет назад +3

    you can never have too much wheel speed.. I got high centered on some rocks a used wheel speed to balloon the tires and pull my truck over the rocks...as for the noisy trucks..use mobil 1 red synthetic grease ...and no its not expensive..a can is about 12 bucks and it will last for over 50 rigs...

    • @RCeveryday

      Rc4wd.com. There are some other options out there as well but I don't know the websites to them.

    The d110 seems to be the most capable and most realistic movement .... the tf2 moves like a squirrel, fast a jurky....

    so could you fit the fj40 body in the trail finder? cheers

    • @RCeveryday
      @RCeveryday  7 лет назад +2

      It fits pretty closely, the body mounts would need a little work to mount it but the wheelbase is very close. I messed around wit it once and the FJ looks proper wthe leaf springs.
