I like the tires. The real thing is my dream truck, but one of these modles is probably all I'll ever be able to afford.

The tires aren't too tall, but I do like a scale-width tire. Unfortunately, there just aren't many pizza cutters out there.

Great video... thanks for sharing! Liked and subscribed. By the way, I think those big meats look awesome. Which tires and wheels are those again? Cheers!

Fms body is a bit bigger. Heck the rc4wd one is too big to be 1/10 as well. Great kit overall. I did leaf conversion on mine. Love driving it. Great job with yours.

Nice share my friend! You chose a great color. One of my favorites.
Two years ago I bought my dream FJ40 RC the Gelande II Cruiser RTR in red. As a Land Cruiser super fan and collector I’ve enjoyed many hours driving my RC and filming it for my RUclips channel. Last year I bought a body kit with the intention of making it topless and weathering it. That way I can change out bodies according to my mood. Even bought a scale Kurt Russell figure. Haven’t had time to build it because I’m my wife’s caregiver.
I’m not very RC knowledgeable, but your channel looks informative. I’m looking forward to seeing what you do with your FJ.
    Best wishes, Robert PNW

      Hello Robert - I thought I'd mention that there's a parallel world to one-tenth scale - 1:12.
In that world there are two main players when it comes to hard-bodied FJ40s and 45s.
These are WPL and MN Models. Their RTR models are awful, with terrible gearing and motor choices, but it's easy and fun to upgrade the MN Models version, and the WPL also comes as a kit so you can select your own motor and gearbox.
Why am I telling you this? Not to try and convert you to 1:12, simply to give you access to more RUclips videos showing beautifully weathered Toyotas : )
I'd suggest searching "WPL C34" (the station wagon) and "WPL C44" (the flatbed truck).
The station wagon is sometimes modelled without the roof and doors, which makes it look very sexy and Jeep-like.

I thought I was the only one that actively paints their rig. I just found it more practical to do it that way. Heck, I paint them with scratches in mind.

I painted my Gen8 Scout II cobalt green. Great color, it pops!

I was thinking of buying this or the fms fj one. I have heard it is very difficult to remove the bodypins from underneath, what's your opinion about that. Bwt love the color

The body on this truck is attached with 4 screws, not the most fun to deal with, especially on the trail.. but I think this truck has a better drivetrain than the FMS, depending on how you intend to drive (long trail runs, etc)

@@brokennibrc1045 ah the screws on the side. That oké. I got a Rc4wd tf2 wich has the same mounting. However i changed the screws for long set screws. So you dont have to unscrew them.

@@DutchRCPlayground I have to warn you, the screws on this is 2.5 mm, not the 3mm on the TF2. I need to drill and tap this for 3mm, which is a lot easier to deal with🙂
