It's like a apocalyptic scenario where the previous hero failed to purify the world and corruption took over, the last survivors are hidden within the depths of the underworld where corruption does not reach, trying to survive in the hellscape which is uncomfortable yet doable to live.

Something you forgot to mention: If you hit the top of Space in this seed, you instantly die with a unique death message.

Also have you tried the drunk seed on 1.4.4? Apparently it also got tweaked a little lol. Tho only parts of it for shimmer spawn and hell trees not much else i think I seem changed

Is the biome mimics which you summon by keys, cycling everyday from corruption to crimson mimic back to corruption the next day a thing before 1.4.4?
