Alvarinho is a mostly Portuguese grape variety. The "royalty" of Vinho Verde. The true Alvarinho has to be grown in areas of Melgaço and/or Monção. Nappa Clarksburg can't produce Alvarinho to mimic the qualities of real one. Patrick Cappiello, you must taste and evaluate Alvarinho from Portugal and tell us what you think.
