I'm 20. My 65 year old dad grew up listening to the good old rock days. One day I was playing this song on guitar with the song. He heard me play and asked who it was, so I introduced him to violent soho. He told me a soho was a name for an old school British mob and that the song kicked ass. Good times.
Soho is a red-light district in London, similar to Brisbane's Fortitude Valley and Sydney's Kings Cross.

Hardly underrated. They are Australia's number one selling rock band at the moment. They've had three top 5 albums over the past 8 years, two of which have topped the charts. Though it'd be good to see them break into the overseas markets big time too.

I was on Spotify this morning and wanted to looked up Violent Sons but clicked enter too soon and ended up on Violent Sohos page. Listened to one song and I swear I listened to the album Hungry Ghosts all day. Loved it. I love the Nirvana/Smashing Pumpkins sound going on but still an original sound. One of the best albums I've heard of 2014.

This video encapsulates a Brisbane sharehouse so perfectly I'm stunned. Love this rad song!
The video is slowed down and sped up several times during the music video, alternating between normal and 2 x speed, while the audio channel stays at normal speed, so that in order to film the video in a single take the band would have had to listen to the song change speed several times between normal and 2x speed (which we can duplicate by changing the playback speed on RUclips). It also has this quality of being a time loop, returning back to where it started and solving the mystery it posed at the very beginning.
This was the best song of 2013 and is consolidated in the hottest 100 of the last decade.
