@@monotoneunknown9555 You can still be in a band, most tribute bands you see at your local bar are a bunch of 40 and 50 year old men with families and jobs whose hobby isn't playing with trains or playing golf, their hobby is meeting up once or twice a week to jam and occasionally play a few cover songs at the local pub if they feel confident enough. Being a rock star can be a hobby, just like anything else.
What an amazing clip. It was all in one take. And there's no concentration on violent soho themselves. It's just showing the lifestyle. Makes me proud to be from brisbane :)
+Wasabi D It goes way beyond that, my friend. Why this makes it my favourite soho track is it illustrates the 5pm Friday fuck off from work straight into party hardy mode, and its right around the fucking corner, yet a universal concept, how good is that!
man listened to violent soho on repeat my whole time through highschool, i miss the days when i worried only about homework and skating with my homies. This song makes me reflect on how much my life and my ambitions have changed since then.
This song man,I thought he was singing about something different to what I thought he was singing about, then I read that he's singing about what I thought he was singing about❤
This section of industrial estate they start the video clip in didn't exist about 10 years ago. I'm a local to the area and rode my dirtbike here and the surrounding areas as an older kid/ young teen. It's awesome and surreal to see the same place you spent as a youngin' in a video clip of one of your favourite bands.

Hahaha how good how Aussie even getting around in the mighty EF Gli falcon wagon. A great cruising car. The Falcon just eats up the ks and good sound systems they had. Did many road trips in a EF Falcon. And listing to these guys and seeing them at the One night stand in Mildura.

I really wish these guys all the luck in the world! They have come so far over the years and just keep ripping out stellar tunes time and time again. Props boys, drink it in while it's golden!
i love that this filmclip was done in the industrial area in Brisbane where everyone (including me) used to go up to to watch people do some skids and street drifting ahahaha haven't been there in like 7 years so this brought back some good memories!

Me too Close to my heart
Lad
Letts start a fire
It was fun while it lasted.
That is prob why I love this song because it is Aus and sick af, not some American wannabe song..
This band is as close as it can get to the feeling of the 90’s vibe
This comment is spot on, and I saw Nirvana live in NYC, 1993.
grunge hasnt died
it just moved to Brisbane
@@marosmierka1904 There is the joke that when you go to Brisbane, "wind your clock back an hour...and 10 years."
Nothing captures what it's like to be a young adult in the suburbs of Australia like this. That's what makes this band special for so many.
Took a roadtrip from Texas to Oregon and listened to this song a lot. Nostalgia. This song is perfect in every way. Hungry Ghost is such a good album.
Hungry Ghost is their best album!
tired lion / cinderalla dracular
This band makes me want to rock out so hard and start a band.
what's stopping you?

Yeah. This really is a next level song.
Hope it’s still in your rotation
Extremely underrated song.
One of those albums that is as good as when it came out.
2022 and I keep coming back to this one. It stirs the heart like the first time I heard the guitar drop in with the rhythm each time too
These dudes are undeniably good

Mijoshow in one shot they leave the boot open, next shot its closed.
catatafish100 so they closed it, lmao.
+catatafish100
there was someone in the boot, not sure who closed it, but it was definitely a single take.
source: my wife worked on the set.
Do you 'stralians have more like this? Such a hidden gem (for someone in the Netherlands).

This might be the greatest thing I have ever seen.
Still amazing in 2019!!! What a great album barely anyone knows about. True hidden gem. Thanks for the music fellas.
Can you explain to me what this song is all about?
Videography is underrated in this one! Mad props to the videographer and the poor cameraguy seemingly sitting on the gear stick.
2:28 Drove off without shutting the boot hahah
I miss songs like this! Not too heavy, not too happy, just great stuff
just discovered soho two days ago and I fucking love it, specially their music videos

[Verse 1]
No place to hide
Nowhere to lead us
I wanna take you down
Saramona said
No great reprise
I will abandon
I want to bastardise
This entire state
[Chorus]
Let's start a fire
It's like a big freight train
Let's start a fire
We are defeated
[Verse 2]
The TV lies
It makes me anxious
I want a dictator
Saramona said
Let's free desire
Be unconnected
I wanna pop this pill
'Cause I'm a free man
[Chorus]
Let's start a fire
It's like a big freight train
Let's start a fire
We are defeated

Let's start a fire
[Chorus]
Let's start a fire
We are defeated
Let's start a fire
We are defeated
[Outro]
As we watch, we lose ourselves
(Let's start a fire)
Define the world before we find it
(We are defeated)
On and on, we lose ourselves
(Let's start a fire)
To miracles, a miracle
(We are defeated)
As we lose ourselves

As we lose ourselves

This video so takes me back!
to this day I love this record so much, and this is a perfect song
this band is the only reason im hopefully going to Australia in 2016, all the way from the uk :D
what an awesome video - would love to see the making of this. Very brisbane.
***** The city is fine...there is only a few select suburbs you gotta worry about for that kinda stuff...
***** That's a very judgemental comment for someone who seems to be barely literate.
Ummm alright.
As opposed to Melbourne? Greeny voting hipsters with no brains and dipshit baristas?
***** Looks like we could go on forever... better get into politics
1.00 slab of stone and wood beer!!! soooo aus!!!! love it

The album's coming out in Canada on Dine Alone Records - spread the word! :)
It's just they play a lot of gigs around their hometown.

This band has some of the best lyrics. Simple but profound.
This Time of day Reminds me of Mad times with good Mates and Chicks!!!
