Best Breakfast Restaurant in Florida | Miz Kathi's Cotillion Southern Cafe & Sweetery in Wildwood

- In today's video, we went back to a restaurant in Wildwood, Florida that we did a review at not too long ago called Miz Kathi's Cotillion Southern Cafe & Sweetery. The restaurant contacted us and invited us out to try some breakfast. We had said we wanted to try the breakfast so we thought it was time. The building used to be an old bank in Wildwood and we got to see some of the history of Main Street. Our waitress was great as she was working extremely hard. We also got to meet the chef and he was really nice! As far as the food goes, in our opinion, this was the best breakfast we have had in Florida. It was truly amazing. We had several stinkin' good items. The top item was the cinnamon roll french toast, then the biscuits and gravy, and the waffle were all fantastic. The pancakes were good, too. The butter and syrup that they use are fantastic. There were some amazing Southern food options to choose from. We all ended up trying something different so that we could see 4 different entrees. After we stuffed ourselves full, we wanted to show the sweetery next door. It is their bakery where they offer so many homemade options. It smelled so good! We ended up getting six cookies and they actually gave them to us for free which was really nice of them to do. They are really good cookies! They do have amazing cakes so it would be worth it to get one. Overall, it was a stinkin' good restaurant in Wildwood, Florida. Uhhh... You keep talking about the "most popular item"...BUT- you NEVER say what it is called! I keep watching this section, over and over and you do not say what the menu says, it is called... Grrr... Soo, I go there, and I order, the most popular item, and hope the waitress knows what it is?? BIG MISTAKE!

I get it but $70 for a table of 4 for breakfast?
Ala carte 2 eggs $5.49, sides 2 pieces of white bread toast $2.99.
Unfortunately at most places it’s hard to find a meal for under $12. We have been to a lot of places where four of us eat for that much with not as good of quality.
You for sure have to try it!
My favorite restaurant just outside The Villages. Do not “Miz” the opportunity to go there!

Suggestion.....when eating inside a restauraunt please consider removing your hat. McDonalds is not a restaraunt but Miz Kathies is...:)
Thanks for the suggestion! However, there are a few viewpoints on this topic and honestly, it all depends what era you are from. Some will say it’s okay, and some will say it’s not. In fact, most restaurants we go to, you will find a lot of people wearing hats. It’s nothing out of disrespect from our end. It’s actually a style these days. I wear a hat because I like it with my outfit. Especially when we are going around to many different places that day. I think making memories, having great conversations, and using your manners at a restaurant are much more important than wearing a hat or not. Thanks for watching us!
@@thealtemlife Disagree, the reason most restaurants don't say anything is because they don't want to alienate anyone, we are in the era of PC. But, taking your point of view, since most of the folks at Miz Kathies are not from your era don't you think respect for their era would be appropriate? My grandkids are from your era (assume) and they would never think of wearing a hat when inside.

@@thealtemlife Depends.....not at a place like Miz Kathi's...we usually go with others so conversation is more important. Grandkids don't appreciate it but they are learning :).
I went to this restaurant a couple times, and I am not impressed. However, I guess, in this area, with so few options, this is all we get! It's just carbs, on top of carbs, layered with cholesterol junk food.
I had a farm, and in the farm, I fed the pigs this junk... I would not even feed my cows this junk. Yes, it is sweet. It's easy to sweeten any food, and it tastes good, to a child.
The location of this restaurant is Soo terrible, I'm afraid I will get mugged.
I live in The Villages, and when I get off the turnpike, I purposely do not drive through Wildwood, it is so ugly, and depressing looking.
