French bulldogs should not exist. They are too poorly bred and suffer so much because of their poor breeding. It’s pathetic how they can’t even handle a ten minute walk in a warm weather without going into distress.
This really varies per each Frenchie. Of course, I’d say to be cautious, bring these concerns to your vet. I’d monitor it. Sometimes, Frenchies can just be stubborn and not eat if it is food they don’t enjoy and or are allergic to!
Hi! Thank you so much for sharing, super interesting! I am not a Frenchie-owner, but I absolutely adore the breed! The only thing keeping me from really getting one is all the health issues, the breathing, the allergies, the problems with the spine and so on 😔, I hope that in the future there will be more and more breeders who will work towards breeding a healthier Frenchie. Regarding heat, have you ever tried one of the various cooling-vests available? As I said, I do not have experience with Frenchies, but my first thought was: Get him a cooling-vest! 😀 Again, thank you so much for your interesting videos and sharing your lovely little doggie! 💘
It is generally accepted for any pied Frogger (French Bulldog), that is a mostly white one with dark patches on the face, that you must be extremely vigilant in temperatures over twenty degrees centigrade. I rescued a red and white pied, she’s called Pikmin, and i accidentally nearly killed her by having her out in direct sunlight with the temperature a good twenty degrees C. It was lucky i had a vet’s appointment that night, else she’d have died from dehydration that would’ve led to her going into multiple organ failure leading her to die a slow and painful death. She DIDN’T die and i’ve been constantly mindful of the external temperature ever since
Hi! Just wanted to ask if you have looked into airway surgery? Some frenchies actually might need this surgery, and it is good to ask your vet about it. Whenever Monte gets neutered or if he has already been neutered the vet should take a peek in his mouth to check if he would need the surgery when he is under anesthesia. Its especially good to think about having this surgery before he gets any older otherwise hes at a greater risk of not doing so well after a surgery like that. Other than that, what a great video!!
Thanks so much for your feedback! Yes, in fact, we have a consultation with the surgeon in two weeks to discuss both soft-palette surgery and his neutering at the same-time. I will make a video further discussing this.
@@TheFrenchBullvlog Nice! Please do make a video on that. I feel like a lot of people get a Frenchie and don't know about these surgeries and sometimes their Frenchies really need it.
My 9 mos old frenchie i just noticed that she had some balding spot on her back. She had her 1st period also. Do you know what causing the her loss in the back like patch balding. It doesn’t look Red
Chole ( Blue Brindle) and I also live in Arizona! Fountain Hills to be exact ! So I really appreciate this video. I take a frozen wash cloth with me when we go out and apply it to her belly and other body parts as needed.
I’m planning to visit Arizona in two weeks for a weekend and don’t have anyone available to watch her. I’m going to be out at the river near Laughlin from morning to afternoon with big shade tents. Do you think my Frenchie will be fine to come along if she stays in the shade the whole time with water and ice available to her?
I live in Vegas and I’m rescuing an older Frenchie from SoCal, I’m so scared and nervous that he won’t do well in the heat
I just got a frenchie and i live in vegas as well, she can’t be outdoors too long or she’ll get pretty hot and tired
SMH pretty much talking about things that’s actually a GIVEN LADY BYE
Why the hell would anyone buy this dog in a place like Phoenix? So irresponsible

They can swim, you just have to teach them!! Please keep an eye on your Frenchies when they're near the pool people!!
Thanks for your feedback!
I took my 4 month frenchie out to park for first time and be is snorting more then usual and he started not to eat all his food. Is that normal?

Pov: you typed how to stop your frenchie from overheating
RUclips algorithm at its finest
I live in Arizona so this is helpful. Thank you
So happy to hear this! You’re so welcome!

I’m not sure! I would consult with a vet!

That’s a great idea!!!

Yes!! We’re in Arizona with Monte right now and we provide him with plenty of water and shade, and he’s fine! Give her ice to cool down!
I think Monte is so calm for a 9 months old frenchie.
Atta boy
Yeah, he has his moments of both calm and rambunctious.
What food does Monty eat?
We feed Monte Stella and Chewys with primal raw nuggets shredded on top!
What kind of collar does he have? I’ve not been able to find a collar for mine
It’s better to use a harness as they have weak spines
We got him a custom collar on Etsy, but when going on walks, he has a harness!
