I’d seriously check with GM about that “panel bond”. Given it’s used in the major structural areas it may have some properties that traditional panel bond doesn’t. Remember, it’s not panels you are gluing, it’s the frame.
You've GOT to put those bright yellow calipers on the blue car!
And my box just shipped! If I'm one of those shown, I'm going to hand to buy more stuff!

Make molds of the skirts and other rear panels outta fiberglass very quick and easy job messy but well worth it cud make few and sell them

Now I know y’all think it’s cool putt’n headers and the toys but remember now Chevy sank a lot of money in engineering and design to make this vehicle what it is - don’t reinvent the wheel 👈🏼🫤 I appreciate the Goonzquad for doing what they do y’all have come along way , just remember family comes first , do your best , and don’t let things get out of hand , and keep the one above in you heart. @@mark0706742 can you mix and match the ecu's on these? If the other modules are all registered to the main/engine ecu that would be an expensive problem to fix

Great progress, was wondering why the dissassembly of the damaged C8 wasnt done buggled down to the frame bench.
When setup correctly,replacing the back frame the alignment would probably be like a walk in the park.
Smart move to purchase a parts car..

Wish I could get you guys to finish up my project. I have done the front tci suspension. Working on the rear tci suspension . I have a 400 blue print motor and 700r4 stage three waiting to go in. I have the gas tank for the fuel injection. I have new radiator support and new radiator. New glass for the whole car. My health has gotten me at a stop 🛑😮 . I'm hoping that I can get it back together, before I pass. Just lost my brother two years ago with the same lymphoma. It's follicular lymphoma.😢 well anyway you probably get so many people wanting you to do stuff. I can always dream...... I would be so proud and excited if that dream would come true. Anyway I love watching you guys. Most nights I can't sleep, you guys keep my dream alive in my mind, if I could just get my body to work with my mind my car would be done. Chemo treatment has knocked the crap out of my energy. Still have a long way to go with the treatment. One day at a time. That gm panel bond is some rugged stuff. Stronger than 3m panel bond
Pretty sure they call for that specific stuff to be used on repairs too

Always great to luck out and get a parts vehicle that has no damage but then find one that has almost 0 miles on it is awesome. Great stuff guys.

I still think you need to do a SLC with the engine and trans, and the other spare parts from this C8's. R a k1, GT40.or anything from Factory Five, like the hotrod
You guys might want to check the suspension because the higher level trims have magnetic ride suspension

Try putting some heat shield tape over the rocker panels to keep from burning the panels and heating them until they pop off like the rear frame.

I still believe that swapping the blue vette front to the black one that came with the keys and lower miles engine was a better shortcut and don't forget about wearing gloves when working around sharp objects

You may even be able to cut some small square pieces out from the back side inside the rails that will allow you to push from the back side to pry off those parts.

The early 70s dodges it was easier to drop the engine from the bottom. I enjoy the content. I have a 64 tbird convertible not quite what yall tackle but it's nice
You should leave the paint at the front blue and fade into black at the back!
Giga-castings are going to make more cars total losses more easily. It is better and stronger but damage to any of those units means substantial dismantling of vehicle like we see here but when much less damage is present. Aluminium can be welded to section a unit ( sure that isn’t mfr approved) but if you try that with magnesium it will burn down like a lithium battery only much faster.
This channel isn’t the same to watch…. I miss the old school days working on the ground and behind the house it felt normal like they was like me but you can tell they blew up and forgot what it’s like to be normal

Good catch guys. Your target (blue) car has the Z51 option and probably Magnetic Selective Ride Control. You donor (black) car was a pretty base model. The Z51 Performance Package includes an Electronic Limited Slip Differential (eLSD, RPO Code G96) and you donor car is a non-Z51 car, which has a mechanical Limited Sliup Differential. The Z51 car, as you've discovered, has an extra radiator which comes with the Z51 option..

On the parts that you're having a hard time getting off without breaking them. I would see if you could get behind them by cutting some of the body or rails away and heat them from the backside on parts you don't need. It may require a lot of cutting but at least you're saving the parts you really need.

Think about how many people follow them. Reach out to them. It's easy to get lost in the shuffle I wouldn't take it personal. You probably shouldn't have crashed in the first place Don't take apart of your car yourself.
I hear what you’re saying, how hard is it to give you something they aren’t using?
Think about it from there perspective… it takes time to communicate with you, to find the part, pack it, and drop it off. If they do it for you then they get asked for favors by everyone else.
They are giving back to the fans via vehicle give aways, putting extra cash in orders, free merchandise, etc… All the giveaways are tax deductible so that helps them out come tax time!
They likely resell many of the parts they don’t use instead of giving them away.
