Great review, as always. I am big into the Neuroshima universe but here I think I prefer the Imperial Settlers theme. Maybe because I played it first and now that seems strange. Have you ever considered filming live plays? I would like to see a game of this played out.
+Eric Finley I've done a handful, and actually have been hankering to do some more. I don't think they will be live though. I'm not very happy with how the live stuff turns out, but I am happy with the edited playthroughs I've done. I do want to steal the Dice Tower's idea of Tom vs The Internet. Those are fun.
@@DriveThruReview me too! I ordered the ultimate edition recently, thinking of getting empires now seeing as it’s apparently gonna be February delivery
I did. I like how you compare the two games and stated there differences but it still left me on the fence. I do agree that the pre setup for IS is more involved. You kind of have to invest sometime thinking about the game before you play. Which is a problem for casual gamers that I seem to play with more often. So maybe that's where 51st State would shine. Thanks for the review.
Thank you, excellent review as usual. I love Imperial Settlers, but I was kept away from this because of the theme. It looks really amazing with great artwork and components, but the theme is just to depressing for us to really get into this one...

+smolle Yes! Mine was sent yesterday. Really looking forward to it. Thanks for review, Joel! :D
Would you rather play this or empires of the north? Great video by the way🫡
Empires of the North... maybe... I have the new set for this on it's way once it ships. So... get back to you? I miss this game so I backed it :)

Is there a reason to have both 51st State and Imperial Settlers? I have and love Imperial Settlers. I am on the fence about this one.
+Jason Mosley Check out the final thoughts section.

Does it have solo rules?
It does.
So, if you could purchase this or imperial settlers which one would you use?
William Garcia
Imperial Settlers, only because I'm not sure about expansion plans for this.
ohh makes sense. Thanks you.
This game is actually set 2 years after Trump got elected. True story!
