It’s actually a very well written and comprehensive book ruclips.net/user/postUgkxhgbP-6hUnXu_QRaoHgLztgsI0YF3HqR0 . I wanted to pair this with an updated book on local codes to start planning a post-retirement dream shop. I think I have just about everything I need between the two. The extra plans available for purchase towards the end are priced almost as much as full home plans, not little sheds however.
Excellent!!! the positioning of the operating windows to allow for ventilation was well thought out. the scale and proportion the structure is very pleasing to the eye.
The beauty of building... You can lay it out however YOU like! What one person thinks is their opinion. Functionality is all in how it works for you. Nicely done!
Effing BEAUTIFUL!! I think this is my absolute favorite small/tiny home design I have seen so far and I have seen many in the past year. Thank you for posting :-)
Overall very impressive looking design. I agree with the sofa placement comment. In my opinion the view would have been central to designing this home. Definitely would have liked to see spaces used to direct activities toward the lake view. Definitely the living room area facing 180 degrees in the opposite direction and perhaps expanded floor/wall beyond the plane stilted onto the deck. That being said really spectacular looking place.
This is absolutely stunning and I think it could be built more affordably than this home was. Nice use of small space with awesome lighting and views for a small (or large) piece of rural property. I'd live in it in a heartbeat!
This home is gorgeous. Has a beautiful outdoors as well as natural elements indoors to match. This is such a fantastic home with space layout. Lovely !
This just illustrates how tedious it is to have a really big house. I am surrounded by family and friends that have homes at 3000 sq ft and bigger. And they own a lot of junk that goes with such a house. All that maintenance! All those expenses! All the things you buy to fill such a house. I am all for efficiency and utilitarian design. There's a lot of peace and abundance in such a house.
I love this house for the simple reason it has no loft! Most of the time tiny houses have lofts and it's a pain in the rear to get up in the middle of the night. Up and down stairs or ladders you will regret!
Agreed. Too many people think that only "old' people become incapacitated... but I was bed ridden twice, (for months at a time), before the age of 35. If I had to deal with a LOFT I could not have stayed in my own home. That would have been a real bummer.
When one is still young, it may not pose a big problem. However, I would assume one would build a house for a lifetime and as one gets old a loft bedroom is a pain in the a$$... I wonder what's under the porch, there is a lot of storage place that could be used there.
Wayne Landry I agree on that no loft issue. In most of the small/tiny houses I've seen, you'd have to crawl around on the floor, and a few just crawl I to mattress. That's ridiculous! On top of that to have to crawl around then make your way down then back up a ladder if you need to use the bathroom middle of the night, who would want to do that????
this has no loft because it is over 500 sq ft and there is room....for tiny homes built on a trailer, it saves a lot of room and is more functional for many people who are looking to go tiny...people who are going tiny are more than likely, active and healthy people.
I normally do not like modern design, but I really the design of this house. Clean lines but cozy at the same time. The only thing I couldn't figure out was why that beautiful leather sofa was placed so that you would be facing awY from the window and the gorgeous view of the lake?? Turn that sofa around and drink in all the beauty!! Other than that-very nice-perfect for a weekend getaway.
Geny R. yup turn the sofa around, put an island to the kitchen instead of the table and that is what the sofa sits against and take out the lowest center window and half the height of the middle center window so you have a better location for the TV but still have most of the view when standing up or looking to either side of the TV or do a fireplace there if you don't care about TV.
Sarah Bolland well of course you can still go outside, but some times it's WAY to cold or WAY to hot to hang out outside but you still want to enjoy the view.
That's kind of the point of having that many windows on that side of the house. I agree with everyone saying the placement of the couch makes no sense. Why sit and stare at the kitchen when I could sit and look outside instead?
Grace Serena Christie yes nice but no storage anyway where do you put all your stuff especially when it snows Reigns or you go out on the boat Etc you come back and you don't have anywhere to put your things
I'm trying to imagine how 1 person in the whole wide world, let alone 177 at the time of this writing, could possibly gives a thumbs down to this. Gorgeous house!
Just lovely. Kind of place I could be very happy in....of course "location" is key as well. Living on a lake has long been a dream of mine. Just a minor comment: I will be soooooo glad when "gray" is no longer the "color of the moment". The color of the walls in that dwelling just totally bring the design d o w n. I still would like to see it in a soft neutral shade...perhaps some deep olive/mossy/forest green...or some tone of muted blue to mimic the forests and the lake. I also love how the outside of the home is designed to encourage outside activities as well. So very nice. Sigh. :-) ~RED ☮♥♫
Awesome looking house. But isn´t this concept kind of defeating itself in the sense that it´s in the price tag of a luxury estate with the area of studio?
MagnusRex4 Much of the cost was in the site and site preparation, these have a target finished price around 180k, which while still high is not as bad as this one example, but if you altered a few finishes and cut back on windows could be done quite a bit cheaper.
@@extramiles4164 In a world where everyone's not f****** insane, I would buy this for $15,000 to $20,000 (maximum!); & furnish it myself, simple - perhaps even build and install kitchen counters and bathroom utilities... That's not really a lot of work, compared to making all of the rest. =)
This is my "dream home". I pet-sat for a couple that built a "full size" version of a home like this, and I knew right then that I wanted a "tiny" version. Someone commented that the price tag is $1 million dollars. That must be the location. It has views of the water and islands north of Seattle. It doesn't get much prettier.. or expensive.. than that!
do this house have a solar system and how the electricy works for this small house ... but this is adorable your so smart to make a small but wonderful home
Understated elegance, relaxed colours, very restful appearance and great light. Love it.

I have been in construction for 30 years. This is one of the best flowing small houses I have seen. Very good job.
Simply the best tiny home I've seen. It's spacious, extremely well laid out and great use of space. I'd live in this one in a second.
Very beautiful, luxurious design and use of space.

The light, view and building materials are very nice.

Love it ! the best small home I ever saw. to wake up in the morning drinking coffee on that deck. Is a dream..money well invested.
Perfect size for a retiree and the location is absolutely gorgeous. Good job with the design.

Some great ideas, thanks for sharing. Like the quality fittings!

This is gorgeous! I could totally live in here.
💖💖💖 LOVE THIS!!! VERY SPECIOUS, AND I LOVE DECKS FOR MORNING COFFEE & MEDITATION💖💖💖 THIS ONE IS BEAUTIFULLY DONE!!

spectacular Tiny House...enamorada de este concepto
This tiny houses it's just marvelous, To die for, I love it.
This is all you need in a splendid location in Idaho !
very nice home and location.
I would really like to see the floor plan with dimensions. It looks lovely!
Very nice. High ceilings seem to be the key to a big house feel in a tiny home.

DanielRichards644 Or you could GO OUTSIDE to enjoy the view :)
Sarah Bolland

Sarah Bolland Why not have both?

it looks really nice how much for land n building what did it costs u
Nicely laid out. That's bigger than most people's apartments.
Cool house with a great view. I'd live there.
Me too!
You have an amazing talent for design. I would love a house like this.
I love this small house. So much better than a lot of wasted space where you can hear an echo when you talk.
Beautiful looking place. Perfect for one.
Love it just as it is. The larger bathroom and kitchen are key features to me... I don't like cramped bathrooms or kitchens.
Hako2004 completely agree! Most tiny homes have cramped bathrooms and this one is gorgeous and spacious.
Very nice and practical!!!
This is a beautiful design, and so pretty.
Beautiful home I think people can live better in smaller homes than bigger homes take all your time. Love the nice clean lines everything is useful

DanielRichards644 this house in materials is no more than 15,000 this house is not worth, even 25,000 people always trying to get rich with junk.
