HUGE Haulover Inlet Style Waves on a POND PROWLER ? Mission Bay SD Quest Angler 10 8 2 Bass Raider

Went fishing for Yellowtail in La Jolla with Mikey of SDFS and we timed the re-entry into Mission Bay San Diego to be right in the middle of a ripping outgoing KING TIDE combined with strong offshore winds and a big swell. Hairy butt puckering experience for both of us. But patience, keeping the nose up and letting the waves dictate each move got our tiny skiffs through it. Whew!!! Next time we will pay more attention to the tides... not just for fishing, but for our SAFETY!!!
