The timeline is set up so nicely for future games! If I were to take an educated guess , I’d say they did it on purpose so that by the time Joe will allow them the rights to her main storylines and names , they’ll be just getting to the times we all know and are familiar with and with the actual characters. I’d imagine Joe didn’t want to just allow a game to use all her stories and characters and spells as she would most likely want the game to prove itself. So hopefully that’s the case and why quidditch has been “cancelled for the season”. I think the had it phrased that way on purpose. I’d imagine since the broom physics and controls need to be very unique , that they’d rather wait to release quidditch into the game until they really know it’s done right and well.

I like how hogwarts it a small mix of the film and books as well as being it's own entity. We have rooms like DADA which looks very much like the film version, than others like the common rooms and grand staircase which have been completley redone to be unique.
And my favorite part is, it all makes sense because they could redesign it all with magic!

About 20ish years before the game takes place, the caretaker of Hogwarts at the time tried to trap Peeves in a bell jar in an attempt to free the school from the poltergeist.
He baited a trap with a variety of weapons, including swords, guns, and even a cannon. The bait worked, but the trap failed, and now the poltergeist had weapons where he laid siege to the school for multiple days.
Eupraxia Mole, headmistress of Hogwarts at the time, made a contract with Peeves to end his reign of terror. In return, Peeves would be allowed to swim in the boy's bathroom on the first floor once a week, he would get first pick of stale bread from the kitchens for throwing purposes, and he'd get one tailor made hat.
Ooooh! A boy from Slytherin and a girl from Hufflepuff. Also Sebastian is a pureblood and the protagonist is muggle-born. Getting a nice Romeo and Juliet vibe from this.

I love seeing the students and teachers in the background interacting and doing things like a real school. I see friends just doing silly stuff or studying
The classroom with the Merlin window was the History of Magic classroom and the ghost floating around in there was probably Professor Binns.

No, Miranda... the clothing you see in the shops are already in your inventory. You were looking at the SELL tab. You found the Celtic outfit in a chest outside the recipe shop.
Funny how excited she got for the Celtic Attire that was already in her inventory. lol.
Loving your play through so far. You should be equipping the best gear you get regardless of appearance. You can change the appearance on all gear to whatever you want. Just tap square in hte main gear menu to set the appearance. It has no cost. Hats can also be hidden and robe hoods can be up or down. Every time you pick up a piece of gear you instantly unlock the appearance for that gear so sell everything you're not wearing. No need to hold on to anything just because you like the look.

@@DaphneBourne I think there was like a 2 second pop-up about it when you get your first tour of the gear screen, but a lot going on at that time, so easy to miss LOL
@@DaphneBourne You can hide every article of clothing, leaving you just in white full body pajamas/underwear. 😆 I didn’t realize the hood either, though!

It takes place in 1890 Molly went to hogwarts in the 1950’s so he could be her grandfather if he lived long
I don't know if you've figured out the number puzzles yet, but there's a cheat sheat near the arithmancy class (you'll get in the vicinity of it during the gobstones quest), but it's also on the door itself. The outside symbols represent digits, starting at 0 (demiguise) all the way to 9 (hydra monster thingy). the ? die has only even numbers on it, and the ?? die has odd numbers, and the way to solve it is that the 3 numbers have to add up to whatever is inside the circle. Basic stuff, really, but quite enjoyable, and not overbloated (since you get to do a lot of these, it's good that it's short and sweet).
Professor Hecat is definitely a force to be reckoned with. Unspeakables are elite Witches and Wizards who work solely in the Department of Mysteries (The Ministry has little to no authority among the Unspeakables in the D.o.M). They are primarily the best of the best out of every single Auror.
Seeing someome so emotional, happy and reliving/making memories in a world a lot of us grew up with, fills me with joy. Takes me away from the weird world we are in these days. Thank you for these playthroughs!

I figured out those number puzzles rather quickly. The fun thing is that i'm playing as a Ravenclaw. So I guess i picked the right house.

I brute forced them all before a co worker explained how to solve them. Worst part for me is i had the solution right but i started counting at 1 when you need to start at 0 so everything was 1 off

Fellow Ravenclaw here! I looked at it and screamed "algebra puzzle!" and brute forced my way through a few, keeping a notebook of the math trying to identify what symbol was what number.
When i realized it was just 0-9 I was so mad XD Not sure if that was clever or WAAAAAY overthinking it

I’ve watched several let’s plays since the game came out, and that got yours recommended to me. Never seen your stuff before but your genuine joy as you played was so great to see. Your let’s play has been the best so far of the ones I’ve watched.
Not sure if you have figured out the “math equation” doors yet, but you were on the right track! The symbols start from 0 on the bottom left to 9 on the bottom right. One of the doors has a chest by it with a guide inside.
I have literally misunderstood every guide on these doors, thank you so much!
I was wondering if there was an in-game way to find out what beast is which number. Clearly I missed that chest.
@@darthfinality 1. Fast travel to the Divination Classroom Floo Flame, which is within the Library Annex. 2. Turn around and head back through the door behind you and along the wooden walkway. 3. When you reach a junction, take the right turning and go along until you see a small landing with a chalkboard next to a puzzle door. 4. Look to the right of the chalkboard and you'll see a blue loot box. Open it.
This is where you will find the decipher page that tells which numbers go to each symbol.

For the puzzle doors, there's a note in the Library Annex near the Arithmacy classroom that tells you what the animals represent. For anyone who doesn't want to run there, the code is:
0 - Furry creature with eyebrows
1 - Unicorn
2 - Tentacle Goat
3 - Three-headed snake
4 - Weird owl
5 - Spider with a face
6 - Lizard
7 - One-eyed squid
8 - Spider
9 - Hydra
You also don't need the note since the animals are in order on the archway. You can just count.

I haven't read a single Potter book, not seen a single movie. I don't know what Harry Potter parents names was or who Dumbledure(name spelling?)was. But I am so invested in this game it is crazy. This game is on second place of all games I've played in my 41 year life. First place is red dead 2
Also a tip. Wait before claiming rewards. You only get those once and they are adapted to your level. They will be mich more powerful later on. Or you can just buy them all again and enchant it later.

Hey I found your channel when I was searching for someone playing Hogwarts legacy. I love that you are going around every five minutes casting revelio. Enjoying your play through
5 minutes ??? More like 5 seconds ! Now I have to retrace and get everything I missed.
Note that when you cast Revelio, there is a secondary sound if one of the revelio scrolls is nearby (the ones you have to be standing right next to in order to reveal them) and the length of time between the cast and the "ping" tells you how far away the scroll is, and the 3D sound will tell you the direction. You have Scroll Sonar!
Oh, and you start getting talent points at level 5, but it doesn't tell you about them until later. I had 10 or so talent points when I finally got the quest that told me to use them.

Have not seen a Hufflepuff playthrough and have no intention of playing Hufflepuff myself.....SOOOO I'm enjoying getting a chance to see it from that perspective. Love the enthusiasm and respect of the game/universe....it's all very refreshing to watch. I myself am going to dark wizard route of Slytherin and that's fun as well!

Helpful Tips, so when you are in the main gear screen, when you hover over the item you are currently wearing it says square for change appearance. so you can wear your hat for the bonuses but have it not show up at all or as a different hat style. And as soon as you acquire gear, the appearance immediately goes in the list. And since you have done the wizarding world stuff, if you linked your wb games account with your wizarding world account you can alreay use the robe and mask =)

I will be glad when I can finally get me a new computer because this is likely one of the first games I might get. And I am like you Miranda, I want to explore every nook and cranny. I was like that with an old MMO (that turned around and was turned into a single player game) based off the Myst franchise. I so wanted to explore the D'Ni city and it was one thing I am sad about when it got turned into a single player game because the city was sadly never finished.
I love how they’re branching out with more diverse characters and accents, still struggle to understand how nobody I heard doesn’t have a northern English accent or a Scottish accent. Majority of British characters I heard have a seemingly standard RP

When watching your game play to help with things that I have missed. I have played for over 24 hours, haven't played a game in years. You can't unlock the doors until you help the care taker.
Miranda ( 1:30:45 ), talking to a hoodlum hiding in an alley: "What is this? You look kind of sketchy down here!" and then proceeds to steal the hoodlum's ten coins while showing him she's carrying the valuable Wizard's Field Guide.

I love so much that you're taking the time to explore and do all the side quests and really experience the game- most other playthroughs I've seen others do just stick to the main quests and it feels like they're just trying to get through another game to add to their channel. When I looked up about Ollivanders. Knew that Gerbold Ollivander was related to the Ollivander we know in the Harry Potter. But I just found out Gerbold is the grandfather of Garrick Ollivander we see in Harry Potter. The developers did an amazing job in putting easter eggs and making everything just perfect in detail. Just so amazing this game

This game has a transmog system! So it'll be useful to equip the best stats clothing-wise then back out hover over the gear item and press square to change its appearance or remove it without losing its stats!

Thank you for the lovely playthrough. I like that you don't rush the quests and choose to explore. There are many playthroughs that rush through the main quest. I want to see the world but maybe that's just me.
Quickest wand customization I have seen on this game to date! Glad you fell in love at first sight!

I love how the writers wrote the story a bit, just a bit, like harry potter movie storyline. It is a bit subtle so I think most not see it. Like it starts with visiting the bank, opening mysterious vault, and when you choose the wand same as when harry potter did, making a mess on the shop until he gets his, and defeating troll like when harry, ron, and hermione defeat the troll in the bathroom.
53:01 I was the exact same way when I started playing. I about covered every area of the castle that I could, also saying, "Where does this go," before I left for Hogsmeade.
I love how the game almost knows you. You were sorted into the house you wanted. You didn't need to change up your wand... And keep up the enthusiasm, it's refreshing to see someone really enjoy a game.
If you have the game linked to your Harry Potter Fan Club account, it will set those details as your default. Since I don't have one, I had to answer an additional question during sorting, and had to select what I wanted with my wand. The wand btw is meaningless in the game

Revelio dings on field guide pages, but some of those field guide pages are behind locked doors. You won't be able to unlock them until you do a mission for Mr. Moon after the time-skip.
