3 observations that might help others reading my comment:
1) In the latest version of excel, there's no need to go and create new pivots everytime for a new chart. Just copy paste your existing pivot below your 1st pivot and you are done.
2) You can create multiple slicers in the 1st go by clicking on multiple options at once.
3) At last, the sales rep chart didn't interact which means the report connection, which in latest version is called filter connections, didn't work. In such cases, redo the filter connections to solve this issue.

Very helpful! But I have one question, why is it that there should not be any empty cell while creating pivot? If I have a data suppose for employees working on certain days for certain no.of hours with other matrices as well and for a day an employee did not work and we dont have a zero in that cell, will it not allow me to create a pivot?
