    That's brilliant. This is the little stuff that saves so much time that almost no one talks about. I think your niche should be all about showing short cuts and time saving techniques. Just one man's opinion.

    Thank you so much man i have only got a cracked version of Ableton as a beginner with no external midis as of yet not even an audio interface, just some head phones! But, man i am learning so much and you dont complicate it like others do. Just subscribed and im happy to see you've still been uploading tutorials. Can't wait to go through all of them and gain more knowledge. Bless you man, hope all is well in these crazy times.
    More experimenting and beats suppose? Why not man ;)

Also I noticed you inserted a MIDI track and selected an audio clip, how does that even work?. Also I cannot hear the sounds of the snare when I dropped it down into the box below like you did. Can you help me with this situation, thank you.

    Hey guys, so Im having trouble with Ableton and I know theres a lot of experts and people who know what they're doing on it so why not ask it. I've been using it for a while now, but I mainly make stuff with headphones on. Now when I play it through my Macs speaker it doesn't sound anything like it does with headphones on? and sometimes I don't even hear sounds that I can hear loud and clear on the headphones? Is it because of my headphones or does something need to be adjusted on Ableton? Thanks for any answers in advance :)
    P.S- I'm using Dre Beats HD Solo's.

    • @iDisturb3d
      @iDisturb3d 10 лет назад

      That all comes down to your mixing environment. Thats why people work in studios because they are built for the sound to be shaped to be heard everywhere and out of any device the same. Some stuff you wont hear in your headphones that high little snap or click, same reason you don't hear the bass as good coming out of your computer speakers because the headphones are just built differently. I would look into purchasing some more of a mixing pair of headphones...Beats are known to be pretty bass heavy. I mean bass is cool, but when it comes down to mixing everything else is just as important. But it has nothing to do with your ableton or headphones. Its all about environment. or headphones made for mixing. good luck

    • @SuacedUp
      @SuacedUp 10 лет назад

      Without reading what erik said, It could possibly be your speakers on your mac? Generally you need good speakers for making music through (well what else) speakers. Ones that come built into computers/laptops are generally not the best

    • @Rael39
      @Rael39 10 лет назад

      Don't mix using headphones they give you a false idea of what the mix will sound like on speakers. Like Rubix said above if your serious about getting a decent sound invest in a good set of monitors.Get some Near field monitors if you haven't got a lot of space.

    • @paullopez1219
      @paullopez1219 9 лет назад

      or buy some "studio headphones" which have a flat frequency response if you dont have money for studio speakers

  • @clebernunes2857
    @clebernunes2857 9 лет назад

    Going back to my previous post, i found out that, if i change volume of my snare BEFORE insert new midi clip, it won't give a option to creat a new midi clip, but if i insert my snare and create a new midi clip RIGHT THE WAY, that option shows up.
    I have no idea why, but its wht is happening.
    hope that help newbies like me.

    • @DHIEnterprises
      @DHIEnterprises 8 лет назад

      +Josh Kessell I'd have to make a whole video just to explain that. But basically there's two screens: the screen with all the clips... and the "composer" screen where you make the actual song. Basically what you want to do is create a new clip in the "clips" screen, write one note in it. (Can be a bass drum, snare, tom, whatever...) and drag that clip to the composer screen and make sure you drop it on the correct device. Then, the way that I do it, is I open up that SPECIFIC DRUM... whatever it was... in this case a snare. Open the options for the device so it displays all the drums... double click on the snare... you'll see it pop out... put the arpeggiator on THAT. Somewhere there's a little "Play" triangle looking thing ">" with some lines behind it. Click on that to make sure the composer is going out of the Master. Then you should hear the audio change when you dial it up or down on the arpeggiator.
