I've always loved Malgus as a character. Simultaneously forward-thinking and filled with unquenchable rage. I'd love to see an alternate universe take where Malgus wins and his vision of the Sith Empire is the only one going forward, and how it would have affected the films. Also, I've played SWTOR off and on for a while now, and I was always disappointed that I was forced to fight Malgus with my Darths. Would loved to have joined up instead lol.

Your character, depending on what choice of words you choose: "Nothing lasts forever." It's clear you can see a smirk forms on his lips underneath the respirator when his eyebrow arches.
Ironically he was an ardent patriot to the core believing that a strong empire was not just possible but completely achievable with strong leadership. Not even necessarily his own as he believed that Marr and tanaris were good leaders. The problem is he also deeply believed that the emperor was corrupt to the core and leading his faction to ruin for personal gain. Spoiler he was right on the money. Vitiate gave no shits about the empire. To him it was just a tool. A tool to use and throw away. By the time they caught on it was to late and he was long gone doing his own thing to care about there fate as they were to blind to see reality a reality they are still blind to
This reminds me of Count Dooku and Qui-Gon Jinn trying to convince the Jedi Council to stop focussing on politics and actually follow the Force and do what is morally right.
That fact jedi and sith mortal enemies joined forces proves him right but also from a certain point of view he is the great uniter a saint who successfully mixed oil and water

Malgus was a true sith. But the problem is. You have to make due with what you are given. You have to be willing to compromise. Make sacrifices. And because Malgus was not able to do such things. He failed in his mission.
Well remember reven used mental manipulation in the sith emperor to end the war early to the republic and the Jedi to survive and buy enough time to plan the downfall of the emperor.
True and that is why malgus was right: the emperor had become corrupted by revans light side and had gond soft. Because of that, the emperor was eventually destroyed for good and the republic eventually defeated the sith and dark side
He was a patriot of the Sith but a perfect example of why the Sith and The Dark Side are terrible to run a society. Sure he and his philosophy were great for the battlefield but at home and for the empire it would be very unstable and implosion inevitable. This is why Bane's Rule of Two was far more successful.
It still depends on how you would define "far more successful" when the RO2 system also imploded with Vader body slamming Sidious into the reactor of his own super weapon and becoming a Jedi again. The inherent problem with the RO2 philosophy is that it made it a lot easier to wipe the Sith out.
I dont know why The creators of star wars doesnt go back to all these characters n wars make it into a proper animation shows or make films about them. Love to see Malgus, Bane, Revan, Vitiate, and the true Sith species.
The answer is obvious, Darth Malgus despised weakness and ignorance like all the sith of old, the original plan of the sith was to obtain as much power and knowledge as possible to be able to call themselves all powerful and all knowing while also by default obtaining so much power and knowledge they could easily exterminate there most hated enemy the jedi thus the problem that Darth Malgus had with the empire which is they not only became obsessed with greed and distractions that made them more like ignorant weak politicians instead of overpowered sith lord's but they started to negotiate with jedi over and over again to further pursue greed aka weakness instead of power and knowledge this obviously infuriated Malgus and thus he wanted nothing to do with that kind of order because all the sith in his eye's were becoming weak and ignorant and greed driven the complete opposite of what the sith are supposed to be lol.
A solud video and truly a great character that should be used in current Star Wars series but the ones in charge are no different than the Sith in charge of Malgus or Bane's era sith, foolish and weak minded never seeing the true potential for great stories and characters want their own characters to shine when the simple reality is non if them could when compared to the all time greats of both jedi and sitn.
