My husband was a mommas boy, BUT to a woman who’s priority was to raise him into a man that would be a good husband. And that she did. So grateful for the man she raised and how much she loved me and her grandkids. There are levels to mommas boys, don’t discount and sleep on the good ones. They’re out there. Maybe few and far between, but those unicorns do exist.
The unicorn was you having enough sense to recognize her as a helper and not to be jealous of because of her relationship with your husband her son. So many times the problem isn’t the boy mom it is the wife.
@@donnapauley8183 that’s the truth! Who am I to get in the way of a mother/son relationship?!? I may have become his girlfriend, fiancé and then his wife and mother of his kids, but that’ll always be his mother. She earned every bit of the respect that I gave her. We had a bit of a rough start, she didn’t trust early on that I was gonna be the one. She had the experience of meeting others not so kind and respectful to her. But what she did trust and respect that it was her sons decisions as a grown man. And after really getting to know me and our spending time in per presence as a couple and myself spending time with her alone was that I wasn’t going anywhere and wasn’t trying to compete with her (which I find so gross and inappropriate that some women do to their future mother in laws) she saw that I truly loved her son and respected her as his mom. Once we got over that bump in the road, I loved her for raising such a good man and she loved me right back and treated me like a daughter, and she loved our children even more fiercely. She’s gone now, as she had my husband late in life, but we all miss her terribly. My kids only had her in their lives for a short time but she left an indelible mark in their lives and a permanent place in their hearts. I couldn’t have dreamed of a better, more loving grandmother for my children than this woman was to my children. This is the type of “boy mom” every boy mom should aspire to be like.
@@lilpotato7297 and that was her line in the sand of loving her son. She didn’t try to make him choose, she didn’t behave like “the other woman” and she didn’t treat him like a child. That’s where the boundary of motherhood needs to end, firmly. Guide your maturing son to navigate how to treat a woman, and then let him be to do so at the age appropriate time. You’re not his partner until he finds one “good enough” in your eyes. That’s seriously inappropriate, but too many boy moms (and girl dads) are putting themselves in that weird role, a role that doesn’t actually exist, you’re just teetering over into inappropriate behavior and attachment to your adult child. Otherwise any woman a man with a mother too emotionally invested in her sons life, same for dads too emotionally invested in their daughters life, brings home will inevitably be a disaster waiting to happen. There has to be a point that momma backs off and let her son be a man, with all that entails. Same for dads and adult daughters. It’s just gross.

I was only married to her son for a year, but I love my MIL. I divorced her son 30 years ago, but we are still close. She's my son's wonderful grandmother. She came to court with me and testified against her son to protect her grandchild from him. He lost all parental rights because of his criminal behavior.
I'm not sure what to think about this gender-reveal video since I don't have all the info. I hate most gender reveals anyway, especially when people do a big production like this. It's in their front yard? Kinda tacky.
Maybe grandma is just very happy. The reveal was already over, so she did wait until that was done, so why can't she go hug her son? Maybe DIL has treated her badly and MIL is the one putting up with an entitled, jealous woman.
I have my reasons to hate gender reveals. I live near the one in S. California that created a massive wildfire in 2020 that killed a firefighter, scorched 22,744 acres, injured 12 people, and destroyed 10 buildings. The El Dorado fire made 1000s of people sick, including myself. The smoke was so thick for days that it blotted out the sun. All for a selfish couple who could have just bought a cake, popped a balloon, or just sent out an announcement like normal people.
Here's video I took at my house, two days into that fire. A week later I was very sick with pneumonia. This fire burned more than a month, from September 5, 2020 - November 16, 2020. This was at the height of COVID, so hospitals were already overwhelmed with sick people struggling to breathe.

Sometimes, I don't think they necessarily want to leave the relationship their in, they just want to try out other things, while also being in a relationship. But like, instead of cheating, why not find a poly relationship, if you wanna have your cake and eat it too? At least in poly relationships, consent is king.

I know so many moms of boys that make being a "boy mom" their entire personality lol. I have 2 sons and I find it ridiculous. Don't be the "boy mom" that doesn't respect boundaries. Or just a mom in general that doesn't respect boundaries or your kid's partner. Mine are 26 and 21 and i have a 7 year old grandson and I will never be this toxic MIL.
There are "boy moms" and there are Moms who have boys. There is a world of difference.
I had four girls. Those girls grew up and have four boys. They are thrilled with boys. My oldest is sort of close to a boy mom. My other daughter just gave birth to a girl. She is thrilled.
We are all thrilled with healthy happy babies, the sex does not matter.

Speaking of boundaries, I started going to therapy and my mother inlaw instantly asked in a very concerning voice if me and my husband are o.k. I looked at her and said, oh we're fine, it's just everyone else around us crossing our boundaries as parents and she's helping me learn how to set them! Lol. I wish I could say that that put her in her place but she was so bewildered. God help me!😂 One rule I set for myself is not be around her without my husband! She can't lie that way 😊😊

I imagine that Charlotte was devastated by so many negative comments on that video. I know that she reads the comments section, she has even responded to my comments a few times, which is awesome.

For me, a Charlotte video, has the same effect, as a visit with a good friend. I think it is wonderful, that she can make so many people feel this way.

To everyone wondering about todays video, I saw it and she included a clip without the full context, and in doing so many people were commenting that she shouldn’t have included it, should do better research, etc. I assume the controversy in the comments is why she removed it.

Where I live in the desert we have lots of ground squirrels that are very destructive and dangerous because they spread diseases like hantavirus and bubonic plague bacteria.
I buy pet food from Chewy, but lately the damn squirrels rip open the boxes and eat the cat food before I can get it inside. Some people feed these squirrels, but I tell them they are basically encouraging plague rats to live with their pets and children.

Basically on the Karen video on Saturday there was a clip of a woman who was proven to not be in the wrong or a Karen. Twitter users are calling for Charlottes cancelation citing she didnt do her reasearch in the matter, which is likely why shes been quiet the past few days.

@DEH1963 I just searched Charlotte on Twitter and then went by newest and saw the posts attached to sharklotte about people unsubscribing and canceling Charlotte etc. I had to scroll a bit since...Twitter is a mess. Lol
My wife and I had that "ice pops" conversation after I ate like 14 or so in an hour. We decided to get a chest freezer.
Where I grew up, everyone had a garage fridge or an outside fridge with things like popsicles, soda, beer, and extra milk and juice for some reason. But, I swear every family with kids had freeze pops in there. No matter who's house you were at in the summer, you could be like "yo, can I have a freeze pop?" and they'd be like "what color u want?".
Lol love a chest freezer or a garage fridge never know when you might need it plus sometimes you find random odd stuff 😒🤷♀️
We have no AC where I live in the SoCal desert, just swamp coolers. Ice pops are a necessity in the Summertime. Last week at Dollar Tree I found ones made by Sunkist that are fruit smoothies with no high fructose corn syrup so I bought 5 boxes, all they had left. Hopefully they will restock soon!

My husband used to tell me that he loved someone else, then he'd get all lovey with our dog. After our daughter was born, he'd pull the same line and then cuddle her.
Lol! My husband and I are the same way. I told him today that he's my favorite human and then had to quickly correct myself by adding adult human. He said that's better because I know for a fact I'm only your 4th favorite human. We have 3 children.

Happened to me. Had 2 blood transfusions & 6 months on supplement to get it sorted.
Yep, I have an eating diorder that is paired with iron deficiency and ice cravings was one of the first signs I had it when I was a kid. Doing a lot better now, but crazy how you body interprets things like that!

I have a very good friend, several years ago we were at a club, all these men were coming over to talk to her. She was engaged, had a rock on her hand. At one point she was getting upset especially when one guy sat down by her, got very close, I put my arm around her picked up her hand and said to him. "You see that? I gave it to her go away!" he left immediately. She and I still laugh about that to this day.

@@smoothsailin9351if they aren’t new videos on Facebook, then it’s probably someone on her team posting on there. She usually tells us when she’s taking a break. We completely understand that it’s needed, but we just want to make sure that she’s okay
Charlotte usually posts a video if she’s going to take time off. I really hope everything is ok and she and her family are alright.
Not that I feel entitled to it or anything, because I truly don’t, but I do wish that she would post a quick update on instagram or something, just saying she’s okay or that she’s taking a short break. I’m so worried about her, and I know I am not alone in feeling that way. I just want her to be okay. The posts on Facebook were of old videos, and likely were from her team, so there’s really no reassurance in that regard. She’s more than deserving of a break, and I just really hope that’s all this is.
