Would like to apologize for 2 mistakes in this video
1st: Narrating the Story of Ramayana, I said that Ram's sister-in-law (Mandavi) wanted Ram to be exiled. This unfortunately is not the Ramayana version but a version of a book I read a few years ago titled "Sita's Sister- Women of Ramayana" by Kavita Kane. There was a mix-up and I humbly apologize for the religious sentiments hurt by this line.
2nd: Although the location of the Shakti Peetha in Balochistan is right, the area mentioned is not Mastung but Lasbela district.

Wonderful. I had read many versions of the Ramayan, I believe there are over 300 with Buddhist Ramayan, Indonesian Ramayan, Thailand Ramayan and of course Chinese, Bhutanese and Burmese Ramayan, Jain Ramayan, 10-12 Urdu Ramayan, but never knew of this aspect of the shakti Peeth and Ram temple in Karachi.
A minor correction, Ram was not thrown out by his brother, but his father Dahsrat had three wives and his third wife wanted her son to rule (King Bharat) and when he found out, he refused and ruled with Ram’s sandals on the throne to return when Ram fullfilled his father’s promise. Of course, Sita gets abducted by Ravan and he than travels south to retrieve her. Also Asoka was from the Maurya dynasty, Guptas came after in the 1-2 CE and is described as the golden period. The maurya’s basically united India 2500 years back, starting with Chandragupta Maurya (not Gupta) and his political head -Chanakya or Kautilya, than his grandson Asoka.
Wonderful and Well Done. Allahahafiz, Jai siya ram.

Correction sir, ram ji ke bhai bharat kabza nahi karte hai. Story goes like this king dashrath had 3 queens one of them was kaikeyi she was given 2 boon by king dashrath. She was manipulated by female servent called manthra, and she asked dashrath to give exile to lord ram for 14 years and future king should be her son bharat instead of elder son lord ram, so lord ram accepted it and went to the forest while bharat came to ayodhya later and he found out his elder brothers lord ram and laxman with sita ji went to exile. He went to lord ram in forest and asked them to come back but lord ram refused it as it was order of his father king Dashrath, then bharat told lord ram that he will rule ayodhya as servent of ram, and lord ram will rule ayodhya as real king after he comes back. 😊 I hope you got it right.

Dear Shafaat, I'd like to share an intriguing tale about Nani ka Mandir in Hingol, known as Hinglaaj Mataa. Legend has it that during the war for Sita's freedom between Ram and Rawan, Rawan, a devoted disciple of Shiv ji Maharaj, was defeated and killed. In order to absolve himself of the sin of slaying such a devout follower of Lord Shiv, Ram was advised by the gurus to embark on the Hinglaaj Yatra. Following their counsel, Ram Ji undertook the pilgrimage to Hinglaaj Mata, where he offered his hair in a gesture similar to the tradition observed during Hajj.

Sindhi fishermen are the oldest population of Karachi. You can find them on Khadda market lyari, Gizri, Ibrahim Hyderi, Rerhi Goth, Younusabad hawksbay, Manora. According to them, there were seven fishermen brothers called “Morro(name you mentioned)” in their ancestors, and these brothers were actually sons of “Mayi Qalaati (Woman of Qalaat) after known as “Mayi Kolachi”.
Edit: There is a seven people graveyard located on Gulbayi maripur road called “مورڑو بھائیوں کی قبریں”

And Mai Kolachi was a Sindhi med woman (fishing tribe), she along with her family came to deybal for fishing, she originally was from Kulanch Valley of makran, which back in time was Sindh.
Even today it is majority Sindhi jadgal population.

@@tahaabdullah1751 thank you, I wish very Sindhi also read and know about history, instead of listening to others, because they only tell the history which suits them.
There are so many Sindhi origin people in balochistan which are entirely labeled as balochs just because they live in balochistan.
It's funny how a Sindhi origin tribe from balochistan who spoke Sindhi language and migrated into today's Sindh province calls themselves baloch, when infact they are of same race as Sindhis.
Whole of Makran (including iranian makran), Lasbela, Khuzdar, Kachhi plain region (9 districts or so), Kohe Sulaiman this whole was Sindh, inhabited by Sindhi jats (jadgals), Sindhi mohana, Mallah, mirbahar (Med), Sindhi Rajputs (Gichkis), Sindhi Gurjars (Lunds), Sindhi Sammats (Numria etc), even many Sindhi hindu dewans after becoming muslims now call themselves balochs or Brohis for example Mengals were Sindhi agarwal hindus, back time were included among jadgals, today they think they are balochs. Very sad.

Specially with your unique way of lightly humorous tinge .

Mari is a Sindhi word meaning castle/Palace or multi storey building, so if there is a three storey building it will be "Trimari/Trimar" and if its a four storey building then it will be called "Chomaari/Chomar" in Sindhi.
There are many folk Sindhi songs in which the "Mari" word has been used, for example, a Sindhi folk song:
Umar! Mu na waran tuhjun "Mariyun" (plural) Alla.
Meaning: Oh Umar! I don't like your castles and palaces.
A Sindhi Sehra (wedding folk song):
Ehya "Marri" te dekharyo, jeh me kunwar wethi aah.
Meaning: Show us that castle or building in which the bride is sitting.
Sindhi poem (Paiso ladhum pat tan) also uses this word in one of its lines:
Kako wetho "Mari" me, dang lagus darhi mein.
Meaning: Uncle was sitting in a building, and he got stung on his beard.
So it's not a Balochi or brahui word. Maybe it also got to used in balochi and brahvi.
As Balochi and brahui have a lot of Sindhi and Urdu words, especially in Makrani and Sulaimani. As much as that, some experts call them a mix of Sindhi and balochi.

This topic has been discussed in pretty decent detail by Elliot in his book in 1867. He is of the opinion that the word Mari or Mauri got into the Nomenclature by the Baloch roots of it. Probably focussed more on the word Kiya instead of Mari. Thank you so much for your special comment

Just the way there are supporters of Rawan, there are also the haters of Mandavi as well. It's sometime difficult to choose a closer to truth narrative. Some see her as incarnation of Lakhshmi , some see her as a prime beneficiary of Ram's exile.
But you are right in anyway, onus of Kaikaye and Manthara's doing can not be put on Mandavi alone. She at maximum could have been the facilitator, nothing more

i dont know why u are bringing extra characters of the Ramayana
as far as Bhagwan Raam's Bunvas is concerned bottom line there are no two ways to tell this epic story details....
the one correct and common narrative is aka
Rani Kaykai and her loyal servant insecurities jealousy and greed to have power in the kingdom caused this sadden moment ..
where Rani Kaykai emotionally blackmailed her Husband .. by removing all her jewelry which was a must for a wedded women to wear as she is a " SHUAGAN"
when Raja Dashrat saw her beloved wife Rani Kaikaye in this bad state of without jewlery and other must articles of wearing by a wedded Queen of such a powerful kingdom...
she said she will wear all those things or she will be presentable only if Raja Dashrat gave him a unbreakable word of promise to fulfill her wish and he will comply anything she ask ...
Raja gave her word and than she asked " I want Ram 14 years of BUNBAS no question asked and Bharat her son will be sat on the thrown during all this time "
RAJA completely out of shocked caught between wall and her demand
out of the Raja's honor and dignity of his promise he announced exactly what Rani Kaykai stated or asked
APPARENTLY the bunbas was for only Bhagwan Raam but Maata Seeta said she wont let her husband go onto this journey without her joining and Lakshman argued that he will must join his older brother ...
Bharat was not in the town at that moment but when he came back he was utterly upset with her mother and refuse to sat on the thrown
when Bhagwan Raam found out this he messaged his brother to carry on the matter of the state and do work for the prosperity of the common people
Bharat was so loyal to Bhagwan Raam he never set on the thrown out of respect but rather sat on the foot step of the thrown on the floor out of utmost locality respect and love for his older brother Bhagwaan Raam through out 14 years of HIS absence
so what u stated in the clip that his brother captured thrown that was the most incorrect and saddening statement totally misrepresenting the honorable honest loving loyal character of Raja Bharat
my request was to correct this particular part and share the story the way it is ...
my only humble request ... did not wanting to make u look bad or uninformed ... i think u are brilliant and i actually got shocked and amazed to see an such a intellectual intelligent platform to have such critical topics to discuss in such polite way ...
i like your sweet calm yet assertive confident casual look..
u fit in and capture attention across from the diversified age group starting from young
& hip, professional middle age and more serious retired age group people equally
in simple words u are a dam captivating personality ....

Thank you so much for such generous words. First and foremost I am guilty as charged. I have not used the Valmiki's Ramayana as it was but instead relied on a book by Kavita Kane's Sita’s Sister - About The Women Of Ramayana published in 2017.
The book has painted almost everyone with a brush of scepticism and has put the onus of Kaikaye's behaviour on Mandavi as she believes that she was the prime beneficiary of the Bharat's accession to the throne. No matter what her version is I agree with you and think it is not right to not produce the exact version of Ramayana to my audience.

Let us (from Sri Lanka) hear about the king Porus (or Paurusha) who ruled the northern area of Bharatha from Peshawar and supposed to have geven the best fight to Alexander the great. His children supposed to have founded the colonies of Sinhale (Sri Lanka, Serendib, etc...).
BTW, I had lots of professional colleagues from this area (from India, too) working in West Africa.
