There are sopranos, tenors, singers and all have incredible voices, amazing voices, but between them there are some that are únicos, voices that never can be heard at any time. Pavarotti? Never, he is único. That is the same with the voice off Julia Lezhneva. Her voice, tone/texture/quality, is unique.She is outstanding , on the tope of the pirámide of the operatic voices. She surprises me anytime I hear her.

Mozart plus Julia Lezhneva; now there's something wonderful to celebrate.
She sings this with a smile in her voice that is absolutely captivating.
Absolutely glorious! I have listen to fine performances of this work by great artists like Kathleen Battle and Kiri Te Kanawa but this rendition is a real revelation. The voice is truly beautiful, and the feathery lightness of the fioritura passages is miraculous. And the trills are actual trills, rather than the embarrassing gurgles that many singers have to resort to. The briefness of the cadenza in the first movement is quite appropriate - the singer has already proved her self-effacing virtuosity. But most stunning of all is the radiant ardour which the singer communicates to her audience.
In the aria part of this motet, I have never heard such lightness from anyone at such a tempo and sound clarity. No forced sound is experienced. Brava, Bravissima!
This performance deserved a full house, standing room only.

What a refreshingly brilliant soprano. Ms. Lezhneva's performance is beautifully sensitive and lyrical where it needs to be and more than capable of exploding with vocal fireworks. She is well served by the ensemble. Brava and bravi!

Why? Have they lost their intellectually? They complain of a soprano concert being old? Old? They will remain, times immemorial. There is no "Stabat mater of Händel"....probably you mean the Stabat Mater from Pergolesi with Lezhneva and Jarrousky. That recording was exceptionell indeed.

I have actually sung this work in recital, exquisite singing and kudos to Julia! Thaf said, heard Renee Fleming earlier today and also find her singing incomparable and that is the key word here. Every singer is incomparable, let's enjoy them all!

I think the difference is because she understands what she is singing and how beautiful it truly is, and the others are maybe just playing the music. That or else they all had some bad mussels. Ha ha! Julia is exquisite! Heavenly, I am sure her guardian angel is weeping for joy!
