Mecha's advice: Do one push up for every snip to the runner and one push up for every parts you snap on.
How have we never noticed before, like Damn
@@Joshua_N-A Hang from your ankles above your build and do upside-down situps to grab every part of the build.
True.
That Failed Alex-Print kinda looks like a Statue of an Alex, that's literally in the Process of being Built. Diorama Potential right there.
That's actually a great idea. Pop a few of the RG pilot figures around it as onlookers!
@@MechaGaikotsu Just gotta make sure NOT to forcefully remove their Base while trying to get them off the Runners. Tooooooooootally didn't happen to me when I got my RG Tallgeese, no sir! But yeah, sounds like a nice Project. Bit expensive, but nice.
Yeah for real, came out looking perfect for an art project.
Maybe we can get now a tequila Gundam 😃
Fucking brilliant
Transformers has had a lot of custom parts made for them using 3d printing. Same goes for tabletop gaming. It’s a huge game changer
*cough* games workshop *cough*
100 hundred dollars or less for a hord army with printing is fantastic
3D printing is a godsend for us that also likes to make scratch builds.
Process that takes 3 days to 3 hours now can be done in 30~3 minutes(depending on the details)
Also a nightmare to model kit companies too, since now anyone can make their own "option parts" too.

I've been looking for 3d scanners to make duplicate gunpla parts incase I would break one. Really hope the 3d gunpla print community blows up
This makes you really appreciate the work that goes in making actual gunpla. Everyone wonders why isn't everything undergated but with this, it shows that its not as easy as you think...
that scaffolding is looks great though paint it properly it will look like the gundam is having a maintenance in a hangar

It would be real hard to get in and paint those crannies though.

Everyone goes on about how " 3d printing is the future" yet the technology itself is 40 years old.
It's so old the patients ran out.
Because now its more publicly available compared to 40 years ago.
Soooooo, you basically gave a DEAGLE to a Gundam……….. I LIKE IT. I like it a lot!
I did this with my 3d printers in highschool. I was so adept at making 3d models that my teacher just let me print whatever I wanted for free, so decided to make custom melee weapons for my ibo kits.
friggin sweet can i see what you made?
Nice
Just think, if you have mastered the 3d printer you could make your own armor for the Core Gundam. Not just weapons. Plus if you had a V fin missing, you could make a new one.
Oh my gish
You could augment/hijack the PLANETS system. That’d be neat.
If only. Might have to take a crash course in Z Brush or Fusion 360. It would be a killer skill to have
Im gonna try 3d modeling a whole gundam model kit
they make resin that simulates the injection molds of gunpla now but now i just have to find the files since i am not experienced in 3D modeling
Mecha gaikotsu is basically a guy that look like he's a heavy metal guy but with a dude's voice and love gunpla
Print the Gundam an Armored Core KARASAWA
High damage laser rifle 💪
Would be cool if 3D printing made people develop an opensource library of armored core like designs for mecha building hell if I were FromSoftware I'd release designs for parts so that the fans could get that last bit of glory
MK2 even
id totally just make more copies of the rg eva unit one pistol. perfect size and look
Great video, that white powder can happen from attempting to cure right out of the IPA. Make sure the parts are fully dry before you try to cure them. I personally use a hairdryer on cool settings to dry them off before curing.
I thought that was a Gundam with a glock and it was awesome for a second
It is possible
3:15 woah thats some buff arm. Guess building model kits make you more gigachad
Yeah but it's only the nipper arm. The other arm is a noodle

Woah! Dudes ripped! Did not expect your massive arms! Good job dude!
with a toothpick, add a little more chrome silver touch to the sharp side edges, making it more detailed, metal build weapon-ish paint finish.
Hm, yeah, I suppose orientation is something I had to learn too, and still get wrong every once in a while, kind of hard to teach because its varies case-by-case. FDM it's especially important depending on if you plan on actually using it for a application that would put stress on it. CNC Kitchen does a lot of tests, definitely check him out if you plan on doing any more FDM for practical applications. For SLA/DLP it's a different can of worms, since it has less to worry about for lamination, though I'd never use a Resin print for a practical application. But yeah, a lot of this knowledge carries between the two, it can be worthwhile to create your own supports in 3D builder if you're confident enough, so there is a lot less chance of it losing detail where you want it.
Legit ordered a resin printer this morning, and then you post this. Hell yeah

... Holy hell, Mecha is RIPPED. That arm shot at 3:14 is... Woo. Gettin' the vapors, over here.
Well, a great way to show "arms" and the printed guns are nice too.
I got the anycubic photon from your first review and am loving it (Still learning though). I also found someone on Etsy who made the Substratospheric Altitude Gun for the MG Dynames and am currently printing that now.
Look at those GUNS!
Wow these look great!
If there's one thing I'd like to 3D print, it would be a tie between the shield of RG Wing Zero for the Neo Bird Mode or the whole right RG Blitz arm for the Amatsu Mina/Hana.
Sturdy joints and connectors would be great to 3d print.
Buffed Mecha Gaikotsu 💪💪 3:08
Yes
This is basically his flex zone material and physical wise 🤣
YESSSSSSS TEAM 3D PRINTING GOOOOOOOO!!!
Great tips!! Thank you!
DO: Exposure tests!
DONT: Over expose every single part!
DO: Remove supports before curing
DONT: Try to remove supports after curing so they fly everywhere
DO: Learn to use advanced support settings like tips, bases, etc
DONT: Try to blame a printer / settings for user error and no calibration. It's the Pale Rider terrible nub removal all over again lol
I hope that someday, we'll be able to print runners.
Practice makes perfect my friend, I don't have a resin printer, but you'll find your sweet spot sometime. keep at it
meanwhile there's this madlad who manages to print a Transformers figure that is as big as a person which is crazy and awesome.
big tip (i know this is old) but make the support tips 0.2mm or 0.3mm so that its easier to take the supports off also take them off right after you printed it then wash it and then cure it
Mass production gundam machine
I think I know what ths future of local hobby shops are and I'm gonna jump onto making that a thing.
WHOA, gaikotsu is jacked
Hey, big fan here.
Looks like your exposure settings are a bit high. Make sure you experiment with the settings below what the manufacturers tell you if you're running a high powered UV machine or a cheapo one. More expensive 2k and 4k printers require almost half the exposure time. If you're going for fast prints with less supports, probably want to increase the thickness of your supports/penetration to compensate (basing off of that jetpack failure).
Also, if you're looking for model kit quality parts with good durability, switch to a PLA-based plant resin. Flex-resins are good too, but they are more brittle and are hard to mix
We need an updated collaboration video with a 3d printing channel
Love your vids
Does anyone remember when a 3d printer was used in Gundam Build Divers?
Yes. I thought that actually had that service because that would actually be a smart move.
"Magical summoning custard" XD
That was a really cool heavy arms in the video.
Fello irish gundam enthusiast! Unreal!
Photon workshop in itself is really just a bad program, would highly recommend switching to Lychee or Chitubox. A lot of people have reported trying to print a model in Photon workshop and it absolutely failing, while the same model in Lychee or Chitubox prints perfectly. Hope this helps make the printing a little bit easier and more fun :)
I really do want a resin printer, but your prints are changing mi mind😂
I would love to get one of these just for the greebles and random bits and upgrade parts you can make for gunpla. There are a lot of detail up kits you can buy that are kit specific so this could just cut out the middle man! I’m about to buy a set for the zaku warrior.
yo wtf our boy jacked af over here gad damn.
what is left now is the virtual reality gundam game which let us useour own custom build gundam to login and our life will be like build divers anime, well, i guess that is the hardest part.
Meijin Kawaguchi and his team at Bandai are working on that exact premise for the last few years. There's a RUclips video on one of their early attempts that came out a few years ago.
I would love to see a 3D prints of the Ore Gun Weapon Set.
Thus, Customizing Gundam is much easier and faster.
Ah yes fit check by mecha. The platform shoes.

if you watch the build real{gundam build live action} bandai actually acknowledged 3d printing
Games Workshop: "First time?"
@@viankatsu That's cool. Actually, if they ran with that idea, they could essentially run a 3D printing service in Gundam stores and folks would need to only pay for the amount material they use.
This hobby
Try Siraya Blu resin, will solve a lot of ur print issue. Less sticky to the FEP, and the print result is tougher than the gunpla itself.
Cons: only come in clear or clear blue, definitely have to paint it.
Also im interested to do similar things, but with 30MM kit.
"rank amateur" is that an overman king gainer reference oh my god

I feel PROTECTED!
You could always opt for a water washable resin if handling large amounts of isopropyl alcohol becomes an issue
Is water-washable resin also UV curable?
@@Phoenixflame87 yes I've been able to get water washable resin for 405nm printers.
Once I get my 3d printer ima make a big revolver for one of my gundams
This means you could do the Atmospheric reentry capsule from the opening scene in Episode 1 of Mobile Suit Gundam Wing that was used by Wing Gundam. And even what was used to get Wing ZERO(Endless Waltz Special Edition Movie) from the disposal block to Herro Yui.
Hey mecha, I'm working on a jetstream sam sword for stl file usage and printing. You want in on that to test on this printer?
hey @Mecha Gaikotsu I'm designing up some funnels (zeon and feddie) for HG/RG kits of course you can probably rescale it for MGs!
Nice to know any really good weapon model can work with most current MG kits. Might need to keep that in mind. I've actually printed a sword intended for Transformer figures, and reduced the size down (making the 5mm handle to 3mm) to scale it for 30 Minute Missions, and plan to do the same with an STL file for the classic Ion Blaster (Optimus Prime's cannon).
I also did find someone who did 3 3D printed model kits done in a Megami Device style (to the point where you need to take some hands from a Megami Device kit to finish them). They're based on Hololive virtual RUclipsrs, so they are not knock offs of existing designs (one even having an articulated tail).
I see people want to show off the guns along with the guns in this video, I need to hit the gym!
I love how you put the mask on backwards when you were talking about how the resin is toxic.
Supports are easier to break off before you cure them from what I've heard.
You should look into water washable resin. You can get it on Amazon. Also, don’t know if it is your printer but my Elegoo Mars 2 doesn’t give me those kinds of problems with the supports. Generally I don’t even need to use the nippers, they just snap off. 🤔
Gundam Gator needing his gat
since this is from two years ago you probably learned a lot by now, but for other people who might read this who haven't yet; your supports go all the way into your model. they can be thinner and touch the models on a smaller surface, with a ball at the end or just further out. these look like supports for big and heavy model. also 0.005 mm is really overdoing it in terms of layer height imho. that 60 hour print could've been done in 6 without hardly seeing any difference on those models. either way, great video as always and have a great day.
Really want to make a angel vfin for my hyzenthley 2
warning for you gaikotsu, n95 mask is not very effective against resin fume. you will need an gas mask to have fully protection against resin.
Can you post the links to the designs you used (urls to download the STLs or whichever format they use)?
Do you ever print out whole disassembled scaffold parts to build like in the kits?
Formlabs has an good guide for resin print orientation. Just search up "Model orientation best practices for SLA printing." You can also use tinkercad to cut up models for free with little to no CAD experience so it's more printable. I know anycubic has their own slicer file format, but you could also use another slicer like chitubox to auto add supports (anycubic's is literally worse than randomly picking spots) and hollow it out (to reduce cost and light on time), then re-save as an stl. Then you just slice with anycubic's.
Also I'm now going to be calling resin "magical summoning custard." Thank you for that! haha
Can you 3D print a Zabuza sword for a MG? It would look sick of the Barbatos!
20 years from now everyone will be 3D printing their own Gunpla parts (like in Build Divers)
Oh man, now you need to print a DragonSlayer Greatsword for a Gusion Rebake Full City gunpla. Then Space Guts can have his sword XD
now I can 3d print borderlands 3 guns for my gunplas
Hey, if you are designing your own files, how do you get them to look the same as the Gundam. I haven't created anything before, but do you move shapes around to get them to look like a Gundam, or can you upload an image and change it from there? I've seen basic tutorials, but I want to make Gundam designs instead of circles of squares.
Didn't know Mecha was buff
Dang I never knew he was THAT buff
I'd do that for my 30 Minute Missions and Aqua Shooters.
just gonna flash over that lego scout trooper huh
Hey mecha can ya review the HGUC byarlant and the Zeta plus A1?
“Party this you filthy casual”
I’m gonna start labeling my resins ‘Summoning Custard’ from now on.
nice.
Yes the Gundam Glock
Hmm...someone 3d scanning the dengeki magazine and other limited parts and putting it up for free to use is going to be very useful.
