The sound of the boosters being used on these Gundams is next level. Especially when the Gundam Frames zig zag all over the place 😎 The lack of beam weapons and emphasis on melee and ballistic weapons is why I love IBO fights so much. Brutal, visceral, and a blast to put on surround sound (Bluetooth audio on my car lol)
If barbatos where to get updated to an equivalent level of other mobile suits (unicorn, seed etc timelines) its very obvious to me that it would be a freaking melee monster, barbatos already can take ridiculous amont of phisical punishment and keep going, the fact that mika its a monster of his own just adds to the crazines. So yea, on a 1v1 same level type of mobil suits, even cheat powers from people like kira and the like would have a serious hard time dealing with him
Nano laminate armor is designed against beam weapons and what's not shown is Ride actually tanked a shot from Hashmal, which explains the dominance of kinetic weapons in the show. The weight of kinetic impact is much more entertaining than beam spam in seed

Never seen this show, just bought and built a nice model kit of this guy and I'll tell you what, this is a lot more hardcore than any gundam i did actually watch. I love g gundam
Well, most other gundams need the pilots to use the piloting interface while the gundams in IBO are more like motion capture. They can move based on the thought of the pilots. The only other series I'm aware of that goes fully with this approach is G gundam.
I know that it was the original RX-78-2 Gundam and Amuro that was dubbed the white devil by zeon forces but I do feel like mika and Barbatos really do fit the name as well
I read somewhere that in calamity war, it require 3-4 gundam to take down a unit of mobile armor. So it won’t be as great as when Mikazuki vs Barbatos take on Harshmal. Some article claim that barbatos was waiting for mizuki for its whole life. And have to agree…it was build to be stubborn, agile, thirst of blood…the counter version in Build series like Amazaing Barbatos Lupus really hold down Barbatos too much. It’s from the fighting style not because Meijin worse than Mikazuki.

Gundam frame in IBO only exceed due to Alaya system connect direct to pilot for less interrupt signal cause by Mobile Armor. In fact without Mika, Harsmal can easily defeat Vida or Bael.

not really, Mikazuki synchronised well with the Barbie because of the Alayashiki system specifically. Even if you integrate Alayashiki into 00 or other suits they wouldn't suit him as well as they suit Barbie.

It becomes even sadder when you realize that template stories about Gundam continue for 5 to 10 years, when in fact they are much worse in terms of the above-mentioned parameters.

I like the movement of IBO Gundams out of any other show bc it seemed the most human the expressiveness was captured really well
